The facials are AMAZING. The Murad Redness Therapy products they use on my skin make a noticeable difference, and I always feel so relaxed afterwards. They use Chi color, which not only smells WAY better during application, but doesn't damage your hair the way hair color that has ammonia in it does. CHI color doesn't have ANY ammonia. My hair hasn't been this healthy or had such a nice, soft texture since before I started coloring it about 14 years ago! Also, it looks way better when they touch up my roots, because it doesn't make my roots look a lot redder than my ends. And the color LASTS!

The instructors definitely know what they're doing, and make sure the students know what they're doing so you can trust them to make you beautiful. And the prices can't be beat. They always have specials. Treat yourself to a day of beauty...(which is almost every service they offer) for just $75. I did, and it was totally worth it!

A couple of months ago I took my son for a haircut to another place here in Austin. He is only 4 years old and has not had many haircuts. To my horror-the lady at the salon (that shall remain nameless) cut his ear badly with her scissors. Since then he has been terrified of having his haircut. I found out about Paramount through a mutual friend and decided that I would try to take him there. When we got there my son immediately began to cry, but the director of the school spent alot of time with him explaining the use of the haircutting tools. Halfway through the process, my son even let him cut his hair with the scissors he was so terrified of! I could not believe that they took so much extra time with him, and did such a fantastic job! One of the students also cut my daughters hair, and gave her a complimentary shampoo, which she thought was the greatest thing that ever happened! I am so impressed with the staff and students that I will not get services done anywhere else!

Paramount Academy is an outstanding school. All of the students seem happy, and leave with an unparalled knowledge of their chosen field. The school director is accomadating and committed to providing a quality education, and you can see the passion that he has for the school and the students in it. Anyone who has stated otherwise has obviously not been to the same place that I have. I would recommend this school not only for prospective students, but also for clients-you won't find a more talented bunch of students anywhere else. I am so proud to be a part of this school, and to call the people in it my colleagues!

The owner/ director draws you in like this is the best place ever and that they have small classes due to getting a better education. NO! The small classes is because after being there no one likes it and no one wants to be there. The owner/ director is very irate and NOT a people person at all. He is a rip off when it comes to your money. He don't supply toilet paper or trash bags hardly none. He has stated he will include toilet paper in your tuition. He sleeps in the Spa roooms. Be very careful choosing this school!!!!

I had a terrible experience at this salon. I typically go to Paul Mitchell to get discount quality work, but ended up here when Paul Mitchell had no appointments. The website states highlights start at $26- but when I arrived I was told it would be $46 because my hair was long- even though they were just going to touch up less than an inch of roots on the crown. When I asked the owner why it would be so much more he very rudely, very unprofessionally stated "we don't haggle here!" I was absolutely disgusted with how I was treated, not by the staff but by the owner! The guy who actually worked on my hair apologized for the scene; explaining that he hates being a student there and was counting down the days until he was finished. I left feeling like I wasted $60- very unsatisfied with the work and attitude.

I followed the owner of this school when he left the school I was going to before, and I'll say....he made it amazing. What an awesome experience. My education has been wonderful, very thorough, and I really feel like I know more than the average stylist PLUS the facials I would get from other students as the practiced were AMAZING. They really take care of everyone, from students to clients & even the student's family. It's a great place and I would really recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good school as a student or as a client.
