Okay- First off, I just want to say that the location of Tan Bella (off 15th & Market) is so convenient and easy to get to. Walking into the salon was a completely life changing experience! Not only is the place super sheek and cozy.. you also can not ask for better customer service from the employees. They really want to educate you and find a solution that is right for you. Not only have they received incredible reviews but once you go to Tan Bella you understand why. The eqiuipment is one of a kind. There is a whole other meaning to a "high pressure" tanning bed. They have beds that no other salon in San Francisco has. I just happend to be walking by one day and saw that they have been voted #1 in city search & yelp for the last 3 years.. so i decided to come in. This place is truly devoted to help satisfy their customers, they want you to leave here with the perfect tan!! I'm not a fan of writing reviews but I felt that this place deserved one...

I'm really happy that i came here and found the best tanning SALON that San Francisco has to offer!!!!!!!

Just went to Tan Bella for the first time and I had a great experience. The individual that helped me (I think her name was Jessica) was extremely helpful. She gave me a tour of the entire salon and explained all of the equipment. In the past I have always burned on beds and after she helped me I new why. I will no longer go on beds with the "long white tubes". This salon has beds that don't burn you and you get really tan!!!!! Asside from the great service, the place is nice and comfortable and has a cool vibe. Thanks Tan Bella for giving me a great tan and a new fun place to go to....

Yesterday was my first visit at the salon, I wanted to spray tan in this place. This is the only place I've seen here in San francisco that actually has a cool booth like this, I went to a couple other tannin salons and all the they had was either the beds with the lamps or spray tan by hand.. i basically had with no clothes on in front of a stranger that sprayed me...
But more than anything today i went and there were two reallllly cute guys working, don't know their names but one of them the one who talked to me about the booth and everything looked like a model!!! Loved his skin and his teeth.. makes you want to tan just looking at the guy... So if you still haven't seen any good salons yet. I would definately reccomend Tan Bella... Cool salon and hot employees!!

I just left Tan Bella's new location by the ballpark and I am speechless. I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. The interior is out of this world....... I happened to be randomly walking by and noticed it. I had no idea it was a tanning salon. Once inside, one of the owners gave me a tour and showed me there new equipment. The equipment is off the charts.... Tan Bella has done it again!! I am so excited to have a tanning salon in my neighborhood....

I have been going to Tan Bella since the opening and it's a great place. Even though they have cool ambiance, and great customer service; my spray tan is what i love the most. After trying about 15 different spray tanning salons in the city I found Tan Bella. I have never had such a great tan. There spray is the best. The color is incredible. Not only can i do it with bronzer, but i can also do there clear version (so i don't get anything on my clothing). The thing I love the most is all the free things they give you to ensure your spray tan is great!!!!

I went to Tan Bella for the first time last week. I read all the reviews and was more curious than anything. I went there almost feeling that there is no way this place could live up to the hype. Needless to say, I walked away very happy. My wife and I wanted to get some color for our wedding coming up and thought we would give it a try. Not only was the place great inside, but the service was excellent. The gentlemen that helped us was very insightful and helpful. He helped us come up with a tanning base plan. He made sure that we will get the best tan in the shortest amount of time. He spent over an hour with us to make sure we understood everything about tanning. Tan Bella was an overall great experience.

I have had tans at numerous spas. If you want an excellent spray tan this just is not the place. So as not to be rude I will not use this to advertise my favorite place. However I will say that if you want the best spray tan this just not is it. I only tried it because my favorite place (in pac heights) was fully booked and I live close to this place. I thought just MAYBE it would be OK..

Nope. I will from now on book enough in advance to go where the spray tan does NOT smell AND lasts more than two days.

Wow!!!!! This place is the best!!!! I moved here about two months ago from Texas and I thought I new everything about tanning...... Well I didn't... Tan Bella taught me all about tanning. In the past my tan only lasted 3-4 days now it lasts almost two weeks. It's crazy how there UV equip. is so powerful and crazy looking. More importantly, every time I go there i have a ton of fun. The staff is great and the owners are amazing. No matter what I ask them they always take there time to help me.

Aside from all this, it still got better.... The last couple of times I've been there I've seen some celebrities. Obviously Tan Bella is not such a secret anymore. I just love this place. If your looking to tan look no further. Go to Tan Bella.

Tan Bella is a great place to go and Tan. I have to admit, I was very hesitant to to give Tan Bella a chance. I live clear across town and I hate to go out of my way for things. After trying about 3 or 4 salons near my residence I decided to give Tan Bella a try. A few of my girlfriends couldn't stop talking about how much they love it. So I decided to stop being stubborn and give it a try.

They all said that the staff is great, but try and get a tan when one of the owners named Greg was there. They said not only is he nice on the eyes, but he is extremely helpful and patient. I probably asked him about 20 minutes of questions and he answered everyone of them never getting irritated. He was all make sure I was happy. He talked about lotion and what it does but wouldn't sell it to me. He felt it was to early in my process to start using lotion. I really felt that he could careless about what he sold me. He was more worried about me achieving an amazing tan. Lastly, my tan was amazing along with my entire experience. Tan Bella truly is the best sf has to offer!!!!

I have been a member for over one year now. You can't get more personality and personal touches than here. Pricing is competitive for the packages offered. Towels are a great size, nothing small like a wash cloth given at other salons. Candies left in the tanning rooms, free one use goggles, plasma screen in the waiting room, great style with the decoration. Oh and I should mention the best part, the customer service! Informative, friendly, talkative and I've met both the owners. Great guys to talk to and this is coming from a guy. They take appointments which is understandable since they just have one lay down bed and one stand up. I left my 'tanning' heart at Tan Bella.

Wow! This place is so incredibly cool and lives up to every bit of hype I read on here!
I had read the reviews on here but was still skeptical that a "tanning salon" could be so amazing, according to the other reviews I had read on here. I first called them to get more information, a guy on the phone named Steve was not only informative, but patient with me as I drilled him with every question I could possibly think of at the time. he answered my questions and invited me to stop by so he could show me around in person, so I did. I arrived a liitle bit later, and Steve (who has the most beautifully tanned skin I have seen in a long time) met me in the front reception area, and gave me a tour of the place, showing me what the machines looked like, how they worked and what to expect. I did not have as good of a tour when I was looking at colleges! Needless to say, I decided to tan, and it was everything Steve promised and more. I have gone back a couple times so far since my first visit, and Steve always remembers my name, takes time out to ask how my visits have been going, and answer any new questions I may have. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a high quality tanning salon with employees who are genuinely interested in you as a person and are also highly knowledgable about the tanning process. They also have the hottest music!

I went to Tan Bella based on my friend's recommendation and was very pleasantly surprised. From the moment I walked in the ambiance was inviting and further the staff was not only knowledgeable about the services but also eager to help. I wouldn't go anywhere else in the city.

These guys live up to the hype! Every stellar review you're reading about this place is 100% true! I just went in for my first spray tan session last night and it was perfect. The staff is totally amazing. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I actually read all the reviews here and picked this place based on what I read. I went in a couple of weeks ago and talked to them, had them explain the process to me and how to prepare for my first visit. Then I bought a tan package and made my first appointment. I highly recommend that you do it this way rather than just walk in off the street to tan because you need to prep your skin before you do the spray tan -- you need to exfoliate in the shower at home first. Buy the tan prep aloe gel -- it's not a gimic, it really works. I am so happy with my tan and these guys are soooooo nice! Go to Tan Bella, you'll love it!

When it comes to tanning Tan Bella has perfected it. I moved here from Texas two months ago and I have tried almost every salon in this city. Up until I went into Tan Bella I was truly dissappointed. This place has awesome ambience (great music), unreal customer service, and out of this world tanning equip... I have seen some tanning equip over the years but nothing like what they have. It is also so cool inside. Sometimes I dont even feel like I am at a tanning salon. The best part about Tan Bella is how excited i get when its time to go back. Anyone looking for a tanning place I urge you to try Tan Bella!!!!

After reading all about this place on citysearch it totally lived up to all the hype!!! I went in the other night when they were extremely busy and a guy name Greg totally made time for me. In between all the madness he gave me a personal tour and explained to me so much about tanning. Not only did he tell me about there awesome new technology, he was totally patient with all my questions. After my tour I did this thing called the double dip because I wanted to be dark when i left. I went in pale and left looking like a bronzed god!!!!! I first did the UV and then followed it up with a spray tan. I dont think you can do this anywhere else. Not only does this place give you a great tan, but it is also so cool inside.... Cant wait to go back!!!!

the owner walked me through the whole process. he told me everything i needed to know about sunless tanning. he made me and my friend feel very comfortable. i usually have bad experiences at these kind of salons because everyone is so stuck up, but this place has a really nice atmosphere, it looks more like an upscale night club.

First of all the atmosphere is not what you would expect from a tanning salon, this place is tastefully decorated and very stylish. The man who helped me, Peter, was so knowledgable of the tanning process and explained everything in detail, it is clear the staff cares about the clients and knows how to give them the tan they are craving. The prices are extremelly reasonable( I got a buy on get one free as a first time client, two tans for $35) and the tanning beds are top quality, you will not find any other like these. You are truely given a luxury tanning experience. Be sure to make an appointment, this place is popular.

Well, I'm not quite sure even where to start because I just got home from visiting this salon and absolutely felt compelled to tell everyone about it...people NEED to see this place and try it out! I have been to numerous tanning salons in various cities and 12 salons in this city, yes 12!, and have NEVER had an experience like this at a tanning salon. I was always just searching for a deal or something better but I was totally overwhelmed by the ambiance, the staff, the equipment, the education I got, how I felt just being in the salon, and how I felt when I left...it was all truly unbelievable. I'm 100% hooked as my friends will soon be! If you want the latest and greatest, do yourself a favor and visit this place...you will find yourself immediately wanting to write a rave review!

Are you kidding me????? I cant believe this salon... Tan Bella is a new kind of tanning salon. I was walking by on my way to another salon and just happened to notice it, thank god I did. I moved here a year ago and have yet to find a salon to fit my needs. This salon fits my needs and them some. I feel as if I am going to lounge / day spa / W hotel. It is so cool....Up until this point the salons in sf just didnt get it.... Not only was the equipment out of this world, but no one in sf has anything like it. On top of that, everyone is really cool and down to earth there. They gave me an awesome tour along with explaning all of there services very clearly. I cant wait to go back again!!!!! I love Tan Bella....

Overall an amazing experience!!!! Tan Bella really knows spray tanning. I have spray tanned at over 20 salons within San Francisco and this was by far the best. The guy who helped me was named Greg. Not only was he super sweet and cute, but he was so helpful, and insightful. He is the first person to ever explain to me what spray tanning consists of. This salon did some great things I had never done before when spray tanning. Most salons make you watch a video before you spray tan. Instead of a video, he personally showed me what to do pre spray and post spray. On top of that, after I sprayed tanned they showed me some really cool techniques on how to ensure your spray tan comes out looking spetacular. If you are a spray tanner or want to try spray tanning go to Tan Bella.

One word "Utopia". I am a die hard UV tanner. I have tried every type of UV bed out there. This bed is unreal. It not only keeps my color longer than anyother bed I have been in, but i feel as if i am on a tropical beach when I tan. Up until this salon, I never understood why some beds kept my color longer than others. The girl that helped me was very insightful, she explained why this particular high pressure bed keeps my color for so long. Usually, this type of bed takes 40-50 minutes to tan in. The one they have is brand new from Italy and only takes 8-12 minutes. Asside from the equipement, you have to see this place. Not only is it really clean inside, the interior looks like something out of architectual digest. Great Salon!!!!

I just went to Tan Bella for the first time. The guy behind the counter, Pete, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He explained the different beds, exactly how high pressure tanning worked, and explained benefits of high pressure tanning down to the percentage of UVA and UVB involved. He also gave me a complete tour of the place, which is extremely nice, more like being at a spa then a tanning salon. In addition the value is great, since new clients get a buy one get one free session. It was worth every penny and a great value. After 10 minutes in the bed i already gained a lot of color and no burn! So I highly recommend this place if you'd like to get a good tan quick at a really great place that really knows their stuff.

I have been to many salons in many cities across the country, but this one has to be the best one yet. I was completely shocked by the entire experience. From the extremely advanced equipment that I hadn't ever seen before, to the stylish atmosphere of music and movies, to the knowledgable (not to mention good-looking) staff, I highly recommend this place! You won't find another place like it.
