NY Pole Dancing is my favorite way to vary up my workout schedule while having an amazing time. The instructors are all really passionate about what they do and it's completely contagious. More than regular exercise, pole dancing (at least at this studio) requires you to get out of your head and into your body. What ever shape you're in, you're encouraged to find your inner temptress and let her out. The workouts definitely challenge me physically, although they're set up so that even in the first class everyone can do something on the pole by the end of the day. Now after a few months, I feel like I'm flying up there. Yes, there may be cheaper pole classes somewhere in the city, but you get what you pay for. Here they have smaller classes, individual attention and a great atmosphere!!!

I have been a student of NYPD for about a year and have seen an enormous change in my upper body strength and core strength. Each class makes you realize just how much you can do with your body when you put it to the test. All of the instructors supply a lot of encouragement and take the time to help you get a move done right. Each of the instructors has a different style to cater to all audiences, I love all of them. If you want to catch them live contact the studio for one of their free performances, I never miss them! I am always looking forward to my next class and hope to install a pole and giant mirror in my apartment someday soon so that I can practice and release my inner s ex kitten.

Who knew that after having two kids back to back and NOT feeling the same confidence as before children, I'd be able to find a way of working out that feels good. It makes me feel seductive and leaves me wanting more! All the instructors have made me feel good about moving, showing me how to move and how to loosen up these tight hips. I love pole dancing - my husband loves me pole dancing, so much that he bought a pole for our bedroom! Yay!

New York Pole Dancing is a great place to learn how to let go and be yourself. I have been going to New York Pole Dancing consistently for a year and to this day I feel that it is the best and most fulfilling work out I?ve had in my entire life. Pole dancing is addictive and I find myself coming back again and again. Part of the reason for that are the instructors, they are professional, easy going, and fun to work with. It is a rewarding experience, I recommend everyone experience New York Pole Dancing at least once, it is totally worth it!!! I never thought I would have achieved this level of fitness. My strength has improved so much and it is just a great workout that is so much fun.

When I first began taking classes at New York Pole Dancing, one could say I was curious to know what all the hype was about. I grew up dancing and really enjoyed working out. It seemed like it'd be fun enough to take one class but didn't really think it'd offer the "amazing workout" that the celebs in Hollywood were claiming it would be. Although slightly intimidated, I was also intrigued by the idea of pretending to be a stripper for an hour at the very least. After the first class I took, I realized, though, that Wendy was serious about this endeavor as part of a fitness regimen, not about turning me into a stripper! It only took one spin around the pole for me to realize how much I was working my arms and Wendy made both my friend that'd I'd brought in with me and me feel totally comfortable too. That was over two years ago. I'm not only still studying this beautiful athletic art of Pole Dancing at NYPD but I'm also now teaching it. Wendy still continues to push me to be my best as a person, as an athlete, as an artist, and as an instructor. The emotional and physical benefits I've received from being involved with this supportive organization I know will surely last a lifetime.... not to mention so will the friendships I've gained with my fellow team members and students.

I just had a birthday party here, and it was the best party I've ever had. The instructors were very professional, and made the moves easy. The room was the perfect size for my entire group and everyone had ample time to "swing away" on the poles. I always read reviews before I try something out, and trust me, New York Pole Dancing will not be a disappointment . My friends and I are planning to return. Just be prepared to work muscles you haven't worked in a while, and wake up a bit sore in the morning.

This place was out 2nd attempt to get a good pole dancing workout. Exotic Dance Central left a really bad taste in our mouths but we kicked it back and went to New York Pole Dancing to try it out. and what a difference!!!
The teacher alone was unbelievable. She danced amazing. It was awesome. A very professional experinece and all the girls had a really great time and a reat workout. I felt like I had learn far more than what I had expected to. There are other classes in the city at various gyms that we have found and will explore but so far out of the two this one is the best.

Owner/instructor, Wendy, has one of the fittest bodies you will ever see and her pole tricks are fierce! The studio is clean and beautiful with a great view of the city. Although Wendy is very serious about her instruction and carefully guides you through the learning process, the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. I have been working out a long time, but through these classes, my strength has improved and my abs have never looked better. A great workout that is so much fun!!
