driving from SLO is quite a drive but prices here are very good. My friend bought floors from them so i came out to check em out.

There were lots of choices to choose from and their big displays really helped in the selection. bc of the cabinets we had, we were able to narrown our choices down to 4 options. Three were in stock and one of them was coming in in 2 weeks and of course my wife had to choose that one. Must be a poplular choice! The price was right and we liked it, so we went for that one. I loved one of the clearance item handscraped floors shown on the website but it was 50sqf short. Had I come in a weekend earlier, I could have bought it!! Anyways, we bought the floor called lapacho...and we Love it! Our family and friends give us good copliments on our selection!!

We checked other places in SJ out but this company had the better selection, the reps were helpful (they even lay their floors at a floor angle and let me take it outside so I cuold see it under the sun), and the website is a plus (since I installed it myself, the instructions are all on the website)!

If you go here, here are some of my suggestions:
-Take a camera so you can have both a mental note of how the floor looks like
-Ask for samples to take home
-Check their website
-Bring a cabinet door to help out
-bring some snacks for the kids, there's toys there so no need to worry about that part
-bring a sweater...it's a warehouse style location so it can be chilly.

Pros: Big displays, free sampls, useful website

Cons: no stores around SLO, clearance items sell too fast.

The service was excellent. My husband was always working so late that he couldn't make it into the store to see the sample, so they offered me a great selection to accommodate us in our dilemma.
We found great floors that matched everything we were looking to match out of Simple Floors huge selection; our new area rug, our paint color in the house, and the new base boarding.
I would highly recommend this store to anyone that is doing their floors.
Best of all they have a play area set up for the children so that you can take your time looking around and not worry about keeping the children entertained.

Simple floors has a great selection of laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring. The samples are large and give a great representation of what the floor will look like. Prices are the best in town and it's almost all in stock.

We purchased approximately 1200 sq ft of hardwood. The install went fine, but several months later we have localized buckling. When I contact simplefloors, they tell us we need to pay for a hardwood inspection report before they will lift a finger. And it turns out that that report costs over $300. I was shocked by their complete failure to stand behind their product. I highly recommend everyone else stay away.

I'm a newby at the flooring stuff.... but I visited many many showrooms in the Silicon valley. At most places the extent of the Sales reps knowledge was reading the back of the displays, the showrooms were tight and displays hard to get to, and too small to get a good idea and after 15 minutes I had to chase some one down to get any help.
At simple floors.. the first thing I noticed is the showroom was much different, displays are much bigger and better to get a good idea of the entire job. They are easy to get to and enough space for a few people to look around in the same area with out bumping cheeks. The people at simple floors were helping me in what seemed less than a minute. They went out of their way to help me make the right choice, moving displays next to each other, laying them flat so I can see what they look like on the floor... they never lied about the expected time of arrival and best of all after the job was done I had an extra box they allowed me to return with in 30 days!

Pros: Hands down the best flooring store in this area

Cons: Some items were not instock, but they honestly represented accurate time frames.
