Jamie's facials are thorough, relaxing, and result in glowing skin. She is accommodating and helpful with scheduling and advice. I have been seeing her for many months on a regular basis and have experienced great improvements in my skin. The Environ products are amazing as well, and there isn't any selling pressure to purchase a bunch of unnecessary items.

I have been to many salons around the city but Loft 26 makes me feel at home. Not only is Janet talented with hair and makeup she is attentive to my wants and is able to achieve the look that I aim for even when I cannot communicate the style to the fullest. I always leave feeling more confident and beautiful with my new look! So happy to be a part of Loft 26 and something so great!

Loft 26 is a tremendous place for lots of things. I had been visiting John and Loren for quite awhile before they moved their skilled hands to Loft 26, and the move seemed to energize both of them.

John is a skilled stylist for men and women, and Loren is great with color.

I even tried my first facial here - Jaime took good care of me and the whole thing didn't even make me feel less hetero ;). In fact, it felt great.

I recommend John Griffin for anyone looking for a passionate, skillful stylist. My wife thinks the world of John and he's always a pleasure to visit.

Loren is also wonderful - full of talent to go with her great sense of humor.

The decor immediately puts me in a calm place - someone clearly knew what he/she was doing when designing the interior.

I give this place five stars and would encourage all you readers out there to book an appointment~! :)

I was so upset when I called The Christopher Stanley Salon to be told that Shane and Noelle no longer worked there! No one that I spoke to there had any idea of how I could locate them either, but luckily after a few phone calls to friends I tracked them down. The cut and color was perfect as always, and their new home is beautiful with a relaxed atmosphere. I'm so glad I found them again!

Jaime is my aesthetician. She is great. She is very knowledgeable about the machines/treatments as well as the products she uses; she pays attention to what you say to ensure that the products and/or treatments do not damage your skin. She is quiet when I need to rest/relax and is great to chat with when I'm in the mood to chat. I get a facial once a month and always leave with fabulous skin - my friends are amazed at how long the facial seems to hold (roughly three weeks).

Dana Chasen was recommended to me by a friend who has tried dozens of facialists across the US and says that Dana is hands-down the best. I highly recommend her Lumilight Facial with Enzymes -- it's pricy, but even my boyfriend noticed how much better it made my skin look! It somehow manages to shrink pores, firm the skin, and just make my skin look fresher, younger, and healthier. It is also a nice plus that Dana is extremely sweet and fun to chat with!

i always get a little bijiggity when i go to get my hair done...crazy, I know but i like my hair long. Well, my nerves subsided the second i walked into Loft 26. The staff was warm and welcoming and the space was amazing!
Loren did my highlights. She transformed me into gorgeous blonde-perfectly sun kissed highlights!
Then, came the true test, my cut with John. He layered my hair with such precision. The layers gave my fine hair volume. I <3 it! John also recommended some Phyto products to keep my hair silky and smooth-even in this humidity! He's the best!
Can't wait to go back!

I have been a client of Dana for years. She truly works miracles. She is up to date on all the latest skin care but is never pushy. Every facial I have with Dana is different because she customizes it to how my skin is behaving! I only worry that she is going to get so popular I won?t be able to get an appointment!

I have been a client of the owner, Stacey, for years so I already knew that she and her staff are amazing. I was so excited for my first experience at her new salon, Loft 26, and I was not disappointed. The space is cool, chic, and relaxing. Even though I only had time for a haircut, I am eager to return for a spa treatment. Loft 26 has it all!

My skin therapist Dana is a lifesaver! The fabulous cutting edge treatments and product lines she recommends have worked wonders improving my dry, sun damaged, aging skin. I have worked with Dana for years; I love that she is always training and continuing her education and is the most knowledgeable esthetician I've ever met. Since Dana can always answer my skin care questions, and explain how products and treatments work, I never feel like I am throwing money away hoping for results.

Dana is also the only person I trust to shape my brows. She mostly only tweezes and has helped me grow my brows back into a gorgeous shape!

I'm a guy in my mid 20's who tends to have oily skin and breakouts caused by stress and limited time/knowledge to apply to my skin care... Dana has always recommend great products for my skin and it has improved GREATLY since I've been following her skin care recommendations.

She has also been great at helping clean up my rather bushy eyebrows with a tweezer while still keeping them natural looking.

I'd recommend Dana to anyone!

Stacey the owner is who I use for cuts and if you're looking for the perfect look she's your gal! I been through many stylist in the past and when I found her she's well worth the money, and been going to her since 1999! I am sure her staff is just as good since standards are extremely high at Loft 26. Visit Loft 26 I am certain you will not be disappointed!

The salon has a nice relaxing feeling, with plenty of space. The staff was upbeat and friendly. Best of all I felt like I got a very current hair style and was also along the lines of what I was looking for. This new place was a good find for me.

I HAVE VERY DIFFICULT HAIR AND THE MINUTE I MET WITH STACEY I KNEW I WAS IN GREAT HANDS.SHE WAS PATIENT AND SHE LISTENED TO ME .WE DISCUSSED WHAT WAS RIGHT FOR MY TYPE OF HAIR AND SHE NEVER RUSHED WITH THE CONSULTATION, I TRAVEL OFTEN AND WITH SUCH A GREAT CUT I HAVE AN EASY TIME STYLING IT MYSELF.WHEREVER I GO SOMEONE IS ALWAYS ASKING WHO CUTS MY HAIR.

I am a busy mom with 2 active boys and the time I have to spend on my own beauty is well spent with Loren using her magic wand to make my hair the perfect color or with John giving me the perfect, low maintenance cut! They are a terrific group!

I highly recommend Loft 26, beautiful, earthy, rustic space with enough glamour and plenty of natural light that fills the salon... making you fall into a bliss like state. My colorist, Loren and my hair stylist Stacey always turn out the best cut, color and styling. They truly are the best. I also recently got a Lumi facial from Jamie which was beyond enjoyable and had quick results. Not only is the whole staff highly talented artists, they seriously know what they are doing. The staff has a great "family" dynamic, very warm and fun!

I am a man who started to gray in his 20's. As my hair was naturally black, I was really worried about that "shoe polish" black look that I see many men have. Luckily, my friend introduced me to Loren. I don't know what the mixture is that she uses, but it looks so natural that nobody ever questioned me if I colored my hair. She is also so funny and personable. I promise u will definitely be in good hands when you sit in her chair!

Loren Basis is a master colorist. I always felt like I had boring brown hair, but Loren has turned boring brown into beautiful brunette! It amazes me what a difference a really good colorist can make. I have tried others but never felt the need to return. Sometimes it seemed like I was wasting my money. But now, I really don't know what I would do without Loren. I live in CT, and will travel the 2 hours gladly to have Loren work her magic on my hair. I am 51 years old and no one can believe it (neither can I!), and my skin looks great thanks to Dana's facial and massage treatments. I love to try different products and she can reign me in with excellent choices that are in the same family. I have been with her for years and continue to follow her skin routines.

Dana Chasen is a skin care genius. She has been in charge of my skin and makeup for years. I trust her implicitly as she is so incredibly knowledgeable. As I am well over 50, I deal with a multitude of skin issues
and I am no longer anxious about it. Dana uses only the highest quality skin care products and makeup. I always feel better after a visit with Dana.
I do not photograph well so I made sure that she reserved the date of my daughter's wedding so that I would feel totally comfortable. and I did! I am not sure that I have ever felt as beautiful as I did that evening. Dana kept me relaxed and cool while she did my makeup and the finished product was great. My face never had that heavy 'makeup' feel or look and the
makeup did not fade - it stayed on until I removed it at the end of the night. Everyone commented on how good I looked not on how my makeup looked.

If you're looking for a top-notch colorist with with over 10 years experience, you can do no better than Loren Basis, from Loft 26. And if you?re not sure what's the right hair color for you? Not to worry, whether you're just trying to cover up a few greys, or going with something new and exciting, Loren will have some great hair color ideas. Loren suggested that we go with some buttery hightlights for me, and im glad that she did. I?ve recently lost my job, and I now feel that I have the confidence in myself to be the best that I can be. I was blown away by the results, this is my story. I am multi ethnic so my hair textures is on the curly frizzy side,I usually relax my hair with the regular pharmacy brand relaxers but a friend told me about John who works with Phyto Specific relaxer.I called the salon and made an appointment for a consultation with John, on the day of I was welcomed by the friendly and warm staff members of loft 26,it's amazing in there beautifull windows and omg the wood work is just fabu!!!!
John told me all about the relaxer it's benefits and differences from the regular relaxers, I was sold...so I made my appointment for the following week. I have the relaxer in my hair now for the past month and I must say I LOVE IT...the process was very relaxing, John talks with you while he's doing the application and educates you about the product, the relaxer is made from eggs and soy and has no lye and I must say that it is odorless yes odorless ,no smells. Whatever your hair texture you can use this product to relax or texturize your hair and its perfect for individuals with sensitive scalps, I didn't feel a tingle the entire time. My hair is in the best shape ever.Overall I am very satisfied with my service at Loft26 next I will be having a facial done by Jaime and that will be another review.

John knows how to cut hair! He talks to you, asks you about your life and thankfully I have never walked out with a trendy "out of the book" haircut. He always knows whats best for me regarding the time of year, what best fits my face, and my personality. And to top it off I will get highlights or lowlights from Loren and John and Loren work so well as a team. I am never afraid of what the color will be, because Loren always gives me subtle and suitable color for me and her color always enhances the cut that John gives me. Together they make a great team. If you want a stylist who will listen and give you options John is the guy, and if you want color that suits you and Loren will deliver.

Hi !

John has been cutting and styling my hair for 8 years thru many different cuts and styles (long to short). Without question no one touches my hair but John, and without a doubt I have never left the salon unhappy in 7+ years.

Never.

John has become a integral part of the way I live my life in NYC and I don't know what I would do without the consistency and professionalism both he and his co-workers have provided me in all sorts of economies.

I mention this, because as we all begin to trim the personal luxuries and "fat" from our budgets that quite fairly may need that second look; their are important Personal Services that help add to the overall self-esteem I carry and undoubtedly many of John's other clients as well; that for me are off limits. A haircut can be how people perceive me.

Right or Wrong; I want John's hand shaping that perception. Whatever the economy.

He is simply the best.

This new space has been designed with clean minimal but warm style and the highest quality. Floor to ceiling windows let in beautiful light, the staff is super friendly - including that cute little Italian Greyhound mascot. And John Gerard, my stylist, is THE BEST! If you want a relaxing experience and a great haircut and more, GO!

My experience there was absolutely amazing! A salon in the Chelsea Loft Area! Who knew?
We did not know what to expect as we were going up in the elevator to the 12th floor. When my friend and I got
to the salon we saw this beautiful gold chandelier hanging in this loft space. When we entered we were so surprised, amazed and delighted! The salon has these windows that welcome the beautiful light and the space is just beautiful, comfortable and relaxing that we truly felt right at home!
The staff was amazing. Friendly as can be and very accomadating. We met Stacey, the owner, and she is so charming and made us feel welcome. I saw her cut someone's hair and I was very impressed at her creativity and talent!
My friend went to see Loren for hilights and the results were just perfect! I liked it so much that I made an appointment with Loren. Loren is the Color Director. No Wonder! I saw John and I had the most spectacular haircut that I made an appointment with him as well. My friend is going to see Stacey for her haircut next time!
They have these Phyto Hair Treatments I am going to try next time...My hair needs it.
And finally we ended up making facial appointments. I am looking forward to it!
So all in all we are really happy and we can't wait for our next visit!! I would recommend this place to anybody!

I am not one to write reviews. But there is a first time for everything.I read about John Gerard in a magazine article. I came in talked to John Gerard he listen to my concerns and knew just what I wanted. As we talk he knew I was not happy with my colour so he recommended Loren for colour. I tell you I thought she was reading my mind she knew exactly what I wanted. I walk out of the salon with the best haircut and highlights. I feel like a Million Dollars. A charming loft airy , warm and bright very chic. Stacey the owner was very friendly and helpful as was the receptionist Karl and Kay Leen the assistant . John Gerard is very knowledgeable about the Phyto product line and recommended a personalized hair care regime. Thank you John and Loren for a great job.
