This place was just OK. Friends rave but I was disappointed. It's cute from the outside but there was an active "Bee Hive" next to my chair (which they knew about) I calmly ignored the bees that would not leave me alone. My friend was never touched but all were swarming me. I didn't swat or anything but they still wouldn't leave me alone. The staff was laughing, half way through my meal, I calmly announced to my friend I would meet them in the car, it was tiring trying to not get stung and simultaneously try to eat. The staff never offered to sit us somewhere else, they knew all about the bees and didn't care. The food wasn't special in any way. I won't ever go back. Other than the fact that it's an uncommon ethnic choice, the food wasn't interesting or really even good. It was simply tolerable.

The best Ethiopian Atlanta has to offer. Definitely try the fish tibs and shiro and don't be afraid to dive in with your hands.

Even though the restaurant is small, the food, service and atmosphere is worth ever minute of you being there. You know how you go to a restaurant to see if their service or food changes in time, well this place, they have been around for

Pros: Service, food and price

Cons: Space

I must preface this by saying that this is the only Ethiopian restaurant that I have visited several times and never been dissapointed. I have been remised to write a review on the first few occasions I visited, but I just had to this "upteenth" time I went last night! The food is delicious. The service is friendly and all the meals are presented in contemporary dishware that's not snubbish but perfectly chique. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the background music is just right.
Most of all the items I've ordered have all been fresh every single time I've been. One time I visited for breakfast and ordered Shiro but couldn't get it because it was still on the stove. Now that's refreshing! (keep in mind it is the kind of dish that could be reheated days after without really affecting the taste). The only cons so far are: the space is really small so for large groups it's best to book ahead and go early. However if you and you date both like Ethiopian food or are ready to explore a new cuisine please do not hesitate...Their food is wonderful!

The restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated. Instead the traditional Ethiopian way, the food is served on a long rectangle plate. Very impressive! The food is great and the portion is more than you first think. Would definitely go back!
