My husband and I went through divorce mediation with Luci Jengo and
Michael Quirk. Luci helped us develop a parenting plan and Michael helped us deal with equitable distribution, alimony and child support. We couldn't have gotten through this without their help and feel that they were able to help us focus on our children and going forward. Several times during our 20 year marriage, we sought out help to fix what was broken. Finally, it was suggested we find a counselor to work through these long term problems. It was explained that since the issues did not occur overnight- they developed over a long time period and resolving them would logically take hard work and time.
At our first meeting with Mercedes, we learned two crucial principles.
The first was the goal of our work together: Regardless of the marital outcome, there would be no could've's, should've's, or would've's.
The second is a concept which continues to influence my daily life: Human nature and life itself sometimes yield less than optimal outcomes. It is not these outcomes that are most troublesome. It is how we manage these situations determines how they fully impact our relationships.
We began an honest journey, lead by an experienced, very real person, who I can describe as doing what she is intended to-a born natural.

Where to begin.....I have been a patient of Luci Jengo on and off for about 12 years, she is amazing, I am so much healthier today then I was then. About a year ago, my husband of 25 years and I separated; after some other counseling and deciding I was done, I called Luci. Today we are back together and still trying very hard to be a couple, but things are much better. Luci is honest, open, brutally frank (which is what most of us need), and she also uses "SMART" goals, which is the way to go in business and in marriages. Without Luci, I can say for sure I would not be with my husband...so thanks Luci.
The Marital Assessment was very helpful in helping us identify the strengths and weaknesses in our relationship. It was like having a road map showing where to start to work. Mercedes Cuervo was instrumental throughout this process. It was a rewarding experience.
