Please do yourself a favor and not rent from the Cape. The high rent is absolutely not justified by the location. The units are old and are poorly laid out. The amenities are lacking. Parking is often difficult. Guest parking is even worse. Management is awful. Be mindful - they will take your security deposit.
I too had read previous reviews on different sites and thought that they were overly judgemental. A year later, I realize that I was just naive and have suffered financially as a result of that naivete. Please don't make the mistake that I did. It's not worth it. Not in the least.

I felt safe living at the Cape Apartments. The complex has a limited access gate, in which you need a special code to get in. The swimming pool is clean. I didn't have to get in my car to shop, since South Coast Plaza is just down the block!! The floorplans are hard to decide since all are planned out well. However, I lived in the 1 bedroom apt and my guests had to go through my bedroom to reach the bathroom. Otherwise, I'd recommend this apartment complex!
