Money is #1 with this vet or should I say Company

I took my chow there for 7 years and every time I went in there, I felt I had been robbed, the cost was always so high and the staff turns over so often. When Dr. Rogers was there he always put the animal first and treated them enough but did not try to get rich off of you he was great. Since he retied I stayed with them cause we had been there so long, but left for another vet about 2 weeks ago. I was very upset that all they seem to care about is money not my dog. He had a skin condition Dr.Rogers had taken care of for years and the treatment was affordable. It also worked to stop the itching. Now they will not give him the med's he was on and they have not stopped the problem. I found another vet.

Wonderful place to go to take almost any pet. Friendly staff. Clean and reasonable costs. They also have late hours. Call for information they will help you with emergencies are just a pet check visit.

all that matters is money
by Mylea H.
It was the day before payday and my dog (a paitient for almost 9 years: not to mention we had already been clients for 4 years with other pets) got bitten by another dog. She had a huge gash over 4 inches long and DEEP, i felt she needed attention immediately. I rushed her over to vca, only to have them 1st talk money. I have NEVER not paid these people. Being day before payday I only had 200 of the over 400 they wanted and i asked if there was any way to give them what i had and bring the remainder of the money AS SOON AS THEY OPENED. They adamently refused to treat her until I assured them I would find a way to pay before they closed. That told me all I needed to know about thier priorities. Obviously not the patient or their owners. EVEN AFTER OVER 12 YEARS of good standing buisness. My pets are like family and I was very offended at thier lack of caring for my girl. Because of the severity of her injury I had to let her be treated there, it was the last time. If you love your pet like family, please don't go to ANY vca apparently that is company wide policy; payment 1st, pet car, far second.
p.s. I guess I should have known better when after 9 years they couln't remember her name.

We have used this Pet Doctor for a long time and found the service to be satisfactory when all you need is yearly shots and heart worm pills for you pet. However, as our pets got older and developed problems, we found it better to get a second opinion as we felt that these doctors didn't have the in depth knowledge of aging dogs. Front office staff is polite. It's usually easy to get an appointment quickly. Inoculation and heart worm pill prices are reasonable. They carry speciality food for pets, too.
