Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!!!!\r
Be careful! Worst experience I ever had at a dealership. Was told they would clean the vehicle, they did NOT! Was told they would fill up the gas tank, they did NOT! Tried to overcharge when financing warranty.

A great experience. I traded a 2005 Avalon for a 2009 Acura RL, thinking it was just the car to fit my needs., Unfortunately, though the car performed perfectly, I didn't like the ride because I had gotten used to an Avalon. When I came

I had a great experience purchasing a car here. I had to return my rental car to the airport and they said they would pick me up from there. They did and it was the owner who did it. Great work.

What an excellent experience. I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in to have body damage repaired. You could not have asked for a better experience; the personnel were inviting and friendly and the facilities were clean and also inviting. Justin performed the estimate for the damage on my vehicle. He described in detail what they would need to do as far as the repairs and how long they would need my Jeep. He provided me an estimate within just a few minutes of looking at the damage. Once I took my Jeep in, my experience was exactly how Justin had described it. I am also very pleased with the quality of work that was performed. Promises were made and promises were kept. I have dealt with other body shops before and they would make promise after promise that they could not keep. It was my pleasure to work with such outstanding people who take pride in their position. Thank you to all who were involved in making this a good experience.

This place is a one stop shop. They have a Bodyshop and repair shop that I have used over the past few months on repairs. They are very friendly and act like that value my business. Justin and David do a great job! If you are in the market for a great preowned vehicle they have a huge inventory. I am very happy with my experience.

I got into my first car accident in March 2012. My car was totaled and for two weeks (when the rental would be up) my husband I had searched frantically for a car, we must have gone to literally 30 dealerships ranging from the acres of cars to the small used dealerships. We had just about given up when we were online yet again and saw a bunch of Subarus at Westgate so decided to just check them out before I ""settled"" on a cheaper and older model I had seen on Craigslist. It was a 2005 with a little less than 100,000 miles, price was good and though it had some small interior issues, we decided to purchase it. The brakes were squealing a bit so my husband who's a mechanic asked if they could throw in a new set of rotors and brake pads and he would put them on. Not a problem they said, we'll call you when they're in. I had driven the car for 3 days when the turbo went. We were nervous because we knew that this car didn't have a warranty but with my husband being a mechanic, he felt he could handle any small issues that came up. I nervously called Westgate to inform them I was on the side of the road with the engine light on and the turbo busted and they said bring it in, they would take care of it. My insurance company paid for towing though they kept it for almost 3 weeks , I didn't mind too terribly because they gave me a great little loaner car (""THE EGGPLANT"" they called it) to get to and from work. Not only did they not have to do that but then they replaced the turbo, put in a new battery and were friendly the whole time. If you do your research on a vehicle and know it's history, it's really not Westgates fault if you're not happy with a car you purchase from them. The turbo went because it ""was about that time"" and they went above and beyond service. Justin and Mary were excellent. \n......and to respond to a couple of reviews I have read, I just wanted to say two things ( I am not looking for heated discussions about this back and forth, just my two cents).......\n*To the people who wanted Westgate to have all of their paperwork ready and done ahead of time because they have small children: Everyone knows that buying a car is going to be (NO MATTER WHAT) an all day process. You have to plan for it ahead of time and yes it's an inconvenience and yes, it's a pain with two small kids but if you saw what I did when I was there; they are always busy and only a handful of them running a dealership and mechanic shop. \nand secondly,\n...I love that they didn't badger me. After going to soooo many dealerships and being chased around the lot, it was nice that Westgate just let my husband and I look around. When we had questions they answered them. If you are looking for a dealership that is going to hound you and hold your hand through the entire process then maybe Westgate isn't for you. Their prices are affordable, customer service is good (keep in mind there are just a few people doing what usually 20 are doing so they are constantly running around) and if you look at other reviews, people have been trusting them for years. Again, just my two cents but I would buy from them again without question. Best of luck to any future car buyers. :-)

We purchased what we thought was a great car at a good value even though it was a loss title vehicle from Westgate. We understood the mechanics warranty was limited and I'm still okay with that. It's been a good car so far BUT BE CAREFUL- THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK and don't tell you they don't stand behind their BODY WORK.\n\nWhat we're NOT AT ALL HAPPY about is that 3yrs + a couple months after owning the car the parts that were replaced/painted began to crackle/peel. We took it back and they had the gall to try to tell me it was the HEAT --- yes it was hot but please explain WHY then ONLY the parts YOU painted are peeling??? Can we say BAD PAINT JOB???????? either in workmanship and/or materials!!!!!!!!!\nThey gave us a price to redo it and since we bought it there a $250 discount????? and oh, it would only have a 3 year warranty!!! I just had to pay 1600 to have it painted at a dealer repair shop but guess what... it's a lifetime warranty paint job! I was SHOCKED Westgate would not stand behind their work!!!! BUYER BEWARE

Needed to get the timing belt of my 2002 Honda Accord Coupe changed. I called Leith Honda and got a quote. I called Westgate Imports and found their quote was $100 less than Leith. They changed my timing belt and the service was excellent. They made an appointment and the process was seamless. The car was ready when they told me it would be. I have not had any problems with the car since the service. Joanna was a big help and I will come back to Westgate Imports for more service.

As a long time driver of high end vehicles (BMW's) which unfortunately come with run-flats Westgate is your source for replacement success. My vehicles suffered no rim damage because they are true run-flat and low pro tire experts. Their prices are also much more competitive as compared to any local dealer. Thank you Westgate!

I have had Westgate Imports do repairs to two of my autos, and I was exceptionally pleased with the work done on each. The paint matched exactly, everything was done that was supposed to be done, and it was done on time. In addition, Westgate Imports provided me with the lowest estimate, which really pleased me! I would highly recommend them.

The Ladies & Gentlemen at West Gate went above and beyond any type of mechanic I have ever used.\n\nI had my van toward into West Gate and was told that it needed a NEW fuel pump.\n\nNow the fuel pump in my van is in the gas tank so I already knew going in that it was going to cost me.\n\nReceived a call the next day and was told that YES it was the fuel pump and the cost was like in the $700.00 dollar range.\n\nOK, so a day later I go into WEST GATE after receiving a call saying hat my van was done.\n\nAs I am waiting for the young lady at the front desk she hands me my bill and it was only for $100 and some change.\n\nI asked if this was correct and that she mite of handed me the wrong bill and she said no that they (West Gate) made a mistake.\n\nThey brought me to the garage area and I spoke with the Manager and Mechanic and they informed me that they checked everything and just knew it was the fuel pump but after putting the NEW fuel pump & wiring it still did not work.\n\nWhat they found out was that the fuel pump relay was being shaking loose every time they lifted up the van so the first time they raised it up it was working.\n\nAnyway they gave me the NEW fuel pump and wiring for FREE.\n\nThey admitted a mistake and handled it like true professionals.\n\nPeople do you understand what I am saying!\n\nThey could have lied about the whole thing and I would of never of known the difference, because I was ready and willing to pay the amount that I was quoted.\n\nNow I NEVER do reviews but I just felt the need to let people know that WEST GATE will always be the place for me to take any of my vehicles and feel confident of quality work and honest business practice.\n\nKudos to WEST GATE:)

Last week I had gone to Westgate Imports inwhich I was referred to by a friend, and I'm thrilled that I did! We spoke to a guy named Clay who took care of us by really listened to what it was that we were looking for and how much we were willing to spend. Not only did he find excactly what we wanted, but he did so in a quick and timely manner. From start to finish this was a easy purchase, and we left feeling great in the SUV we just purchased. We highly recommend buying your car or suv's from Westgate Imports because they will take care of all of your needs...with a smile!

For the past several weeks I searched around the Triangle for a SUV that would meet my family's needs. When searching online I found a nice clean looking Jeep Cherokee at Westgate Imports. Went down to Westgate and spoke to a super guy named Clay. Within an hour I had completed a test drive, negotiated a deal, and drove off with the vehicle. They even detailed the vehicle for me, which was a nice way to make me happy. If you are in the market for a good car or suv, take time to visit Westgate Imports. They'll take care of your needs at the right price.

Just wanted to thank Westgate Imports (Al) for the recent service on my Volvo. I felt that they did a great and thorough job at a very fair price. I am thrilled to have my car back with no rattles, warning lights and wobbly wheels. I have had problems with this car for so long that no one could fix, I was ready to sell it. Now I feel like I have a new car again! I highly recommend these guys to all who have those Volvos that always seem to have a problem :)

This is the best place. My wife and I have bought our last three cars here. Saw my neighbor there recently and asked how he knew Ehsan and these folks. He told me he had bought his last 7 cars from Westgate and wouldn't go anyplace else! Just referred a friend based on my experience and she got the lowest price she had seen from here to Smithfield on a goregous Toyota Highlander for her family of five. She loves it and so does her husband he prefers to drive Moma's car now. Justin was terrific to deal with and confirm the sale. Mary there was so helpful in handling the paperwork. In and out the door in less than two hours and got the best deal she'd been offered for her Ford Explorer trade-in. Said the same car at CARMAX was nearly $1500 more and had thousands of more miles. So family, friends and neighbors... Westgate Imports does it for all! Give 'em a try. They've been good to me and mine.

I recently purchased a vehicle at Westgate Imports, and about 2 weeks after, had some issues with the vehicle. After some struggling and worry (on my part), I just got my car back and am pleased to say that they took care of my car, fixed the problem in only 2 days, and so far everything is running great. Justin was the one that really did the final check ups and phone calls and was very nice (even went and put gas in the car for me). They also waived a fee that I was going to have to pay since I just purchased the car. Thank you for making the problem right!

We have four 'old' cars in my family and often end up with cars in the garage. My experience with repair shops was poor - they always find things wrong and repairs are always costly.\nSeveral years ago a friend recommended Westgate Imports. Over the years, I have bought four used cars from them and have always used them for service. The price of cars and service support has been very satisfying. The cost of service is not where I would like it but it is examplary. They have always taken care of after-service problems and I have never felt that they have done something that was not needed.\nThe staff is helpful and friendly.

Well I've just bought a 2000 Hyundai over there..\nfair price, not cheap but fair... \nThey agreed to change the timing belt + water pump - no charge... (which I think was absolutely necessary and let them know about that) But the best part is that when doing so, they observed that the head gasket was in no shape... so they changed it too.. still free of charge... plus giving me a car to go around while taking care of my future acquisition...\nI think they were great, not spending time with cheap talk - I run for congress I love you all - but just fixing what needs to be done... SQUARE !\nGo there... ! much better than most places in the area \nSeb 05/19/2011

I just purchased a used BMW and didn't know where to turn for service. The local dealerships charge you over $100 just to bring your car in for inspection. Westgate looked my car over, pointed out some major safety issues, and gave me an extremely fair estimate (more than 50% less than the dealership). Their mechanics are experienced with most major brands of imports and the service staff are both knowledgable and courteous. I highly recommend this place for any kind of service but especially if you own a Merc, Beamer, VW, Volvo, Lexus, etc. You'll save a ton of money and your car will be in excellent hands.

Usually I only write about good customer service experiences b/c there are many out there that are negative. But we had such poor service at Westgate Imports that I felt compelled to warn others of what they may be in for if shopping there.\nAfter our first trip there to look at cars and dealing with the person we dealt with, I refused to go back. I didnt have a good feeling about it. We worked too long and hard to save for this car. My husband liked the car, it was the kind we wanted, and our current car was fading fast. It seemed to be in good shape and a price we could afford. So I agreed but told him hed have to deal with them to get the paperwork started.\nDuring the process, my husband had specifically asked the woman he spoke to if we could do as much of the paperwork as possible before we got there (by fax, etc) and if everything could be as ready as it could be. Having two small children and limited daycare we did not have much time to spend there when we came to get the car so we were trying to be proactive and manage that.\nSo, we got there and after running in and out with the paperwork, she left us in her office for about 20 min. We finally had to get up to find her because we HAD to get back to our children. We found her out in the lobby talking and hanging out! I asked her what else had to be done to get this finished b/c we had to get home. She acted surprised and was like, oh, we are done.so, I asked her where the car was, and she said, oh, it should be out front. Then, I had to ask her for the keys.she got them for us. We went out and started the car NO gasit was actually under the empty gas line. Also, there was no plate on the car. My husband went in to ask hershe came out and didnt have screws that fit it. After about 15 more minutes of her running in and out to find screws that fit, we had some. As my husband put the plate on , she proceeded to talk negatively to me about a guy that was shopping on the lot. I thought thats professional. But I just stood there b/c our deal was done and I was SO ready to leave and not have to be there anymore. \nI told her the car did not have any gas. She huffed and said, as if she was annoyed at them, the guys in the back must have forgotten to fill it up.and told us to drive to the gas station next door and she would let them know that we were coming, and that Westgate would take care of it. She said the car should have been filled up before we got it. So, we got to the gas station, and while my husband put gas in the car, I got windex and paper towels. The inside windows were all so mucky and cloudy we had trouble even seeing out of them. My husband then had to go in to check with the guy in the gas station b/c the gas had stopped at $15 the gas guy had told him, yeah, I thought it was weird too. First she called me and told me to fill it up, and then she called me right back and told me just to give you guys $15. So, yes, we had to clean the windows and fill our gas tank up to get our new car home (it takes about $55 to fill it up). \nI wanted to go back and complain, but my husband reminded me that we set out to do something good here for our family, and to not let the experience ruin that. But the excitement was tarnished, the experience was not good.\nI cant say we expected a red carpet send off, but for $30K, a clean car filled with gas that was ready to go, and a customer service person that didnt FORGET we were waiting in her office for our car would have been nice. Friends, family and coworkers have asked us where we got our car. I have never, nor will I ever refer them to Westgate Imports. \nThere are a lot of used car dealers out there that will give you a good deal and good service. Im saying, shop around.give your hard earned savings to someone that earns it. I wish we had. Ive gotten better customer service at the grocery store buying a loaf of bread.\n\n

I've worked with Westgate Imports since their inception. They've ALWAYS handled the service on all of my family cars. I travel over 40K miles per year, as a Sales Rep, so I take full advantage of their early AM sit-and-wait Service Calls about every 2-3 weeks, literally. Every single staff member that I've ever come in contact with treats you as if you're their most important client. It's as if they're the customer's personal ""Auto Concierge."" \r\n\r\nWhen they expanded their business and began selling cars I bought an Acura TL from them. Clean CarFax report and not a moments trouble with the car and I've had it now for well over a year (40+K Miles). Never, ever a complaint. \r\n\r\nEhsan is a very hands-on owner who is a master at customer relations and his entire staff is the very same. They make the entire process of Car Sales and Service a complete pleasure. . and I've NEVER been able to say that about any other ""Car Experience"" ANYWHERE. I've recommended them to all friends and family without question. I would recommend them to anyone!

Pros: Trustworthy, Dependable, Diligent, Friendly, and on-and-on

Cons: None that I can see. . .

We have six vehicles used for our business and we service all of them at Westgate Imports repair shop. The repair shop is knowledgeable and honest. The pricing if fair but not as cheap as I would like. If I have a problem with billing or an incomplete repair, the ladies at the front desk are very happy to get it straightened out. I have tried other repair facilities near Westgate and they are either expensive or not the most trustworthy. I regularly recommend them to friends and my employees as the first people to check in with on repairs or service.

I live in Kannapolis, NC and travel to the Raleigh, NC area on business. While in Raleigh I had an accident and with a recommendation from a local friend, I took my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder to Westgate Imports for repairs. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff (Justin, Ken and Mary) in handling my situation. Once my vehicle was repaired in a timely manner I was also happy with the fair price of the repair. And when I got my Pathfinder back it was ""WOW"" at the appearance. Their body shop did great work. And while I was there I also noticed a lot of nice cars for sale. I will be visiting Westgate Imports when I shop for my next vehicle. Westgate Imports is a hidden gem in Raleigh area

I have done business with this company for over 10 years. Check any business out with the BBB before you deal with them. You can find out how much integrity a company has when things go wrong.

My wife and I were VERY interested in a car and requested that we have a mechanic look it over before we purchased it...they had no problem with that. We even offered to provide a deposit which they said was not necessary.\r\n\r\nThe day we were going to take the care for inspection, it was sold to another person. We were never asked if we were still serious about buying the car or given the right to pass on it.\r\n\r\nI would not trust these guys now or in the future. I guess a hand shake and a verbal agreement is no longer good enough. What a shame we need to live this way!!!!!!!!

I too have had nothing but positive experiences with Westgate Imports. I have purchased 6 cars from them over the past 15 years. They stand by their product and are also completely reliable when it comes to vehicle maintenance and repairs. Best of all, there is no stress and haggling involved when purchasing a vehicle. I have done considerable shopping around, and you can't beat their prices for what you get. I have never considered buying a new car since I discovered Westgate Imports.

Westgate has done several repairs on my two old beasts: a 1998 Honda CR-V and a 1986 Fiero with a kit car body. They have completed the work at or _below_ the estimated price.! I am happy with the quality of Westgate's repair work, the timely completion, and the honesty and friendly attitude of the staff.\r\nTrue story: Two days ago I asked them to check the brakes on my old Fiero. They found that the left front caliper was seized, and recommended that I replace both front calipers. Okay. Then Tom called me to say that the right had already been replaced--they could save me some money and replace only the left. Great! Some other mechanic would have replaced both and charged me for both and I would never have known the difference. Westgate saved me about $200. \r\nTomorrow I will take the Fiero in for a custom paint job, because they have done such a good job for me on several mechanical repairs. I expect that Westgate will do just as well on the paint. I will post a review and let y'all know how they do.

I have been a customer of Westgate Imports for over 15 years. The customer service is exceptional and the cars are even better. I have purchased 7 vehicles from this dealership over the last 15 years. My father has also purchased 5 vehicles from this dealer. We have had nothing but great experiences with the dealership and all of the vehicles we have purchased. Westgate Imports stands behind their warranties, and most importantly their ""word"" and reputation. The prices are extremely competitive and since most vehicles are imports, they hold their value and most of the depreciation has already been absorbed by the initial buyer. Since I bought my first vehicle from this dealer, I have never bought a ""brand new"" vehicle again. Your dollar gets you a lot more car here! In addition, if they don't have the car you want on the lot, they can get it for you. If would like to purchase a car at an extremely friendly no pressure dealer with competitive pricing, Westgate Imports is definitely the place. I'm a customer for life. Thanks.

i purchased a luxury used vehicle from Westgate Imports this past weekend. Not knowing alot about cars, I greatly appreciated their knowledge and interest in the make of vehicle I was interested in purchasing. All my questions were answered respectively. I had internet shopped for quite some time and did not find better pricing on what i was looking for. The staff is not pushy; nor did they follow me around the lot as I looked, like many ""sales"" people do at car dealerships. However, they were there to facilitate exactly what i needed. Well-mannered, polite, and helpful i would say of the people I dealt with. I was recommended this place by a friend and i've already recommended them to my friends. in my 18 years of ""car buying"" I've never had such a low stressed, low-pressure car buying experience. i am GRATEFUL!
