Pico's Bakery and Taqueria is the latest creation of fourth-generation restaurateur Arnaldo Richards, chef and owner of Houston's Pico's Mex-Mex restaurant. The bakery features a variety of authentic Mexican breads, cookies, cakes, muffins, cupcakes and specialty pastries - all made with the perfect blend of fresh ingredients and optimal baking time. Pan de dulce (Mexican breads) are baked fresh, without preservatives, daily at 6am, 12noon and 5pm. The bakery also features a taqueria that serves a delicious selection of tacos, burritos, tortas, lonches and tamales.
I like the restaurant foods but the bakery it was not as good as I thought. the sweet breads were a little bland and not fresh. too dry for my taste and probably will not gain any time soon.

I went to try it but I was not very happy with it. I ordered a tres leches but did not taste milk on it or like tres leche what's up with that. It was pretty bad and bland. bought other pastries( conchas, empanadas of pineapple, apple and cheese) and there were also bland. I wish they had flavor and texture. my family did not like it so probably will give them another chance when I feel like it.

WE HAVE BEEN GOING TO PICO'S SINCE 1984 AND HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED OUR MEALS AND BEVERAGES. THIS RESTAURANT IS A TRUE TESTAMENT TO GOOD MEX MEX!!! THEY ALSO OFFER CATERING, WHICH IS FANTASTIC. A GREAT LOCAL HANGOUT.
ENJOY CHATTING WITH THE OWNER AND ALL THE EMPLOYEES.
