the WORST experience..and the WORST manager

by kimberly r.

I stayed at the hotel on business for 3 weeks, and when I first arrived, I was excited, grounds were great, room looked nice, I was told about the breakfast. Well, let me tell you..1st week..bathroom door would not shut in room, thank god I was alone. Fridge was growing mold. I woke up itchy every day, I wasnt sure if it was bed bugs?? The breakfast was Horrible, it wasnt even real food. The best thing there was the fruit, and even that was good on monday..but by friday they just cut the same fruit into smaller pieces, and the plates and varieties got smaller and smaller. They charged MY credit card, instead of my business card, took DAYS to get it fixed. 2nd week..new room..just been painted, reeked, and i had horrible headaches, bathroom door would not close, turned the faucet on, and I got drenched! same itchy mornings, and MY credit card was charged again!!!!! 3rd week...same room as the 1st week..credit card still not fixed..nobody would help me at the front desk. They were extremely rude and kept putting me off to someone else. Manager..Chuck Allen..was completely useless..he shouldnt even be there. The man talked to me like i was a child, made me feel like it was all MY fault..and told me he would fix the problem. Well days later i call him, and he has the nerve to tell me that he "couldnt get a hold of me"....!!!I was staying in HIS hotel! anyways..i filed with the better business bureau...and i just today..got my money back. Go across the street,..im sure that hotel is better..and staffed with better people~

Good hotel if you're not paying

by L R. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,598

From the look of the outside of the hotel, you wouldn't believe how expensive it is. OK, it looks clean, etc., but it's located very close to the freeway and doesn't have grounds to relax in. Perfect for the business traveller (it's alongside the Pruneyard office towers) and there's a car rental place fairly close by. You can probably get more for you money at other hotels.

Classy But Expensive

by Nick N. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,792

If you are looking for a simple hotel room in the Campbell area then I wouldn't recommend the Campbell Inn near the Pruneyard. These hotel rooms are very costly but are well worth the price if you can afford it. Each room is extremely large and is equipped with a nice jacuzzi tub.

Awesome breakfast bar

by grannygayle

We have stayed at the Campbell Inn twice. The first time was in July of 2006 and again in July of 2008. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't rate it 5 star. You can't compare it to the Hilton because it's a different style completely. I love the quaintness of it. It has nice landscaping. The maid service is great. The breakfast bar is unbelievable. When we were there it offered fruit of all kinds, breads, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, pancakes, hash browns, oatmeal, coffee, orange juice. I can't even remember everything. We had a room with an adjoining sitting room. The sitting room had a fireplace and a private balcony. The bathroom had a double whirlpool tub, and a separate shower/sauna. How many places can you go and have your own private sauna? I absolutely loved that feature. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, iron & ironing board, & vanity area separate from bathroom. Other amenities are biking/walking trail (bikes are complimentary), tennis court, swimming pool, jacuzi, it's close to interstates, it's close to shopping & restaurants. What more can you ask for? Don't pay any attention to the bad reviews. Some people just like to find things to complain about so they can get their money back and have a free ride. The current managers have only been there about 2 1/2 years and they bend over backwards to make your stay there a good one. Kudos to Chuck and Patricia Allen.

Pros: breakfast bar, sauna in room, private balcony, clean, close to restaurants & interstates

Cons: none

The Best Stay in Campbell

by bgrohsman

The Campbell Inn in is located a 2-minute walk from the Pruneyard shopping and entertainment center which has at least 8 top quality restaurants, a movie theater, Tom's market grocery store and an amazing coffee shop with free wi-fi, etc. The cleaning service is top notch, and the front desk staff is the best I've experienced, courteous and fun to talk to if they have a free minute, and will do anything for you... I had to have multiple root canals recently that were obviously unexpected, and the Campbell Inn Hotel and Resort offered to drive me to and from those appointments, and numerous others over the weeks I've been here in Campbell, California, consulting. I have experienced different room styles that they have, some with huge whirlpool/jacuzzi tubs, microwaves, suites, and all have far exceeded any normal expectations considering the low cost.

Pros: Front Desk Staff, Breakfast, Jacuzzi Tubs
