I have been here a few times. The fist time, the experience was less than great. I went with a group and ordered the smallest pizza (I was sans dh that night). The waitress brought me the biggest pizza. When I told her I had ordered the smaller size, she looked at her ticket and said she wrote down that size. Well, my bill ended up being ~$40 (she gave me the larger pizza, but also charged me for it). But, the second time I went, my service was much better. The food was good, btw.

I like this restaurant, but I don't like the wood-smoke smell that you leave with. It is also a bit overpriced for me and a bit fancy. I just want good ol fries and a burger.

Centro is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always great, and the service is fabulous. Last time I was there, I had the Three Cheese Medallions, and they were wonderful. It is a fancy place, so menu items are expensive, but well worth it.

I am from the east coast but when visiting Iowa (I know) this is a place I make a point to visit every time. The food is amazing - and the atmosphere is very modern. The prices are well within reason - especially given the quality of the food and size of the portions! Definitely one of the best places in downtown IA.
