Our 50' flat screen TV went "green" on me and I dreaded the thought of - if it could be fixed, how much it might cost, having strangers come and make a mess and then not really fixing it. Everyone I spoke to at George Meyer was friendly and apparently they keep clear files on their customers as I did not have to tell "my story" repeatedly. An appointment was made and two gentlemen showed up on time and quietly, swiftly took the entire back end of the TV apart and put it all back together again and cleaned up all their boxes and paper and what not and left. I was surprised at how quickly they did the job and so impressed with the obvious experience and knowledge they displayed. Thank you George!!

The owner, Morris, could not have been more sympathetic when my dead tv was received by his company. Morris and company got me out of an extremely difficult and longstanding situation. I bought a Pioneer Elite Signature FD141 monitor in January that arrived damaged. The seller refused to take it back first blaming the shipping company and then saying that I took 17 days to report the damage (which was hidden) rather than the 14 days that they require (unbeknownst to me). At that point all I had was a big box filled with junk and no TV in my living room.

I immediately called Morris to find out about repairing the monitor since they were not being manufactured anymore and I really wanted it. He quoted me and told me that he would take care of it whenever I was ready. After four months of wrangling with the various parties, I decided that the very expensive box in my living room was not worth anything and I had to invest almost the same amount I originally paid to get it working.

Morris had the unit picked up at my house, got the replacement parts from Pioneer, fixed the set and delivered it back to me all in about a week. He even brought me back the damaged part for insurance purposes and when I was done with my claim, picked it up again personally and disposed of it.

I have since settled with my credit card company and have a beautiful TV to show for it (albeit after close to six months of aggravating negotiations).

Bottom line: Morris, Lola, Rebecca, and everyone else I dealt with at George Meyer was courteous and professional and, most importantly, got the job done right.

The bulb was finally replaced after five years and CC covered it at no additional cost! Although I did initially pay for the 3 year extended warranty!

I'm very pleased with the quick response and service. I was afraid I was going to get the run around from CC and from George Meyer Tv. Neither of that happened! Now I can watch the Lakers beat up on the Celtics in game three tonight!

It wasn't working properly and my own attempts to re-hab it weren't working. Morris worked his magic and now the turntable is better than ever. I have a matched set of older Sharp Aquos 32" monitors that display security various camera feeds. I cracked the screen on one leaving me 2 options to maintain the "matched look " of the wall - replace both or try to get the 6 year old one fixed.

I checked around and found only one place in LA that had the replacement screen in stock and they wanted $1,700!!!! Absolutely insane in today?s market

I called my old standby George Meyer TV without a lot of hope - no one else in town could even get the part....

24 Hrs later i was walking out of their shop with my fixed monitor in hand and paid only $500.

A month ago I needed service on my Mitsubishi WD-73837. I called George Meyer TV and spoke to Morris. It was almost like speaking with a very good friend right away!!!! He put me at ease and assured me that all will be taken care of. Sure enough, he was correct. I will never go anywhere else when I have a problem with any of my Audio/Video components. I was very pleased with Morris and all his staff... That being said, very recently I have a new problem with one of my Sony DVD players. It seems as though there is a problem with this particular player and the Mitsubishi, even though my other DVD player is working fine via the TV, this one in question is not. I spoke with Joe and Rene (The tech guys at the shop) as well as Morris. Morris was very very very kind and 'felt my pain' so he had a team of techs come to my house to see for themselves what the problem is. It has been determined that Mitsubishi may have a solution but will find out for sure in a couple days. Either case, I am so happy that Morris took very good care of me..... Thank you Morris and Joe and all the staff !!!! I have since the first repair of my Mitsubishi told many friends about this great company.....

I usually don't write reviews however in this case I had to. It started with a warranty ticket being generated by Sharp Aquos Advantage. Before I knew it (within an hour)I had a call from Jennifer at George Meyer to get the parts ordered and get information to facilitate a prompt service call. Then Rebecca from George Meyer called to schedule the appointment 3 days sooner than originally set. Due to my work schedule that was not possible. The next day my TV seemed to be working fine and when I called to cancel the appointment ,the phone was answered by the owner Morris. He suggested the appointment should be kept . If it acted up once "something is wrong" and will do it again. The Tech. Allen arrived on schedule and was very professional in replacing all 3 of the major components that may have been affected by the power surge. My whole life I have been in customer service and the entire expierence (including the follow up call from Morris after the service appt) is something that you just don't see much of anymore. Thank you Morris,Jennifer,Rebecca,Lola and Allen for renewing my faith in good "Old Fashioned "professional service

I brought a JVC pro HD deck to be repaired here, as they are listed on the JVC site as a certified JVC service center. They quoted me $650 for the repair. I asked them to go ahead and fix it,and when I got it back, it did not work. I brought it back to them and was told that it would be an additional $850 to repair the deck. This deck cost me $1200 when I bought it. I contacted JVC and after endless emails and phone calls, JVC gave me a discount so I ended up paying another $665 instead of $850.

Disgusting liars.

If they would have quoted me $1,500 in the beginning, I would have just bought another deck.

I had a brain-teaser of a problem. Morris researched the problem, found the solution, help me solve it myself, and was as nice as can be about it. His shop is brimming with solved problems and is run very professionally. I have never been as pleased with an interaction with a repair shop as with George Meyer.

The people in the office were great to deal with. The techs came out and immediately figured out the problem. Returned with the part that had to be ordered and had the set fixed quickly.

I wanted to take a moment to thank the staff at George Meyer Audio and Video Services. We recently had an issue with our Sony television which was vital to an up coming event. The team understood the urgency of our situation and went out of their way to make sure our television was repaired quickly and expertly. There customer service group was courteous, understanding and willing to work with us to help us in our time of need. It is rare to find a group of people that stand by their word and their promises as the team at George Meyer. I thank you all for the help wonderful experience that went above and beyond what one would expect in today's day and age.

after a rough start dealing with the female associate at george meyer, the owner/manager Morris actually phoned me personally and told me that my TV was fixed!!! I had sent him an email saying i was concerned with all the negative stuff i had read about his business and was beginning to feel that I may be given the run around as well. i can understand when we have to wait for parts, and when there is a lack of technicians to come onsite... my pet peeve is poor customer service over the phone.

It's Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving. My 50" Samsung DLP TV goes out and it's making strange noises. Oh no! That means no football games and no Macy's Day Parade for my wife. Nadda, Zip, Zilch. After making a few frantic calls I was referred to George Meyers by Magnolia Home Theatre. I stopped in around 10am and spoke with Morris (quite a joker!) about my TV problem. He really seemed to care and worked with me to assess my options on what I should do. So I decided to fix the television. Man, I was in luck! Not only did they have the original Samsung DLP light bulb I needed, but Morris also correctly diagnosed the noise problem that I needed a new color wheel as well. So after our conversation I went home and Morris sent a repair team out to my apartment by 2pm the same day with all the necessary parts. By 2:30 I was up and running and the TV has never looked better. Big thanks to Morris and his crew for coming through on such short notice and saving my holiday weekend! You guys rock!

Best place I have gone to yet. If you want someone who knows and cares about Stereo and TV equipment this is the place to go. I have been a professional audio engineer and audiophile for 30 years. Music is my canvass, and when my equipment fails there is no place in town like- George Meyer TV & Stereo- for knowledgeable and fast repair. The owner, an audiophile himself, will even come out to your car and help carry in your equipment. Parking is a breeze in the large 15 minute zone directly in front of the shop. When the repairs are done you are escorted to the technician?s desk where your equipment is demonstrated .Who, these days, has the class to do that?

George Meyer TV was sent to handle a repair covered by my Circuit City warranty. I dealt with Morris and Lola and had nothing by problems. Basically I got the run around for 3 weeks. There was a part one day and there wasn't a part another day. They told me to wait for a tech to come out because they wanted to order a part then a week later when the tech came out, I was told the part didn't exist and all he did was hook up a blu ray player to my tv and left.

What really disappointed me was that they didn't really care if their service stunk. Where I work, the only real asset our company has is our reputation and the level of 'care' show our customers. I don't why it's absent at George Meyer TV. The reason I had purchased an extended warranty was because I cared about my tv so I don't get why George Meyer TV takes this kind of business on if they obviously hate doing it well.

After having to call them repeatedly and getting a different story from Morris then from Lola and then about someone named Rene who had to come out (each of them being out sick repeatedly), I called Circuit City Warranty and updated them on what was going on. Save yourself the hassle as I will in the future.

I still don't have a fixed tv or the part or a day when they estimate it will be taken care of. I'd heard good things about GMtv as far as installing and servicing very high end gear but to be honest why would the service be so terrible with warranty repairs and great with the other. It's the same crew doing the work. Sad it came to this and took 3 weeks of my time without anything to show for it.

I obtained a list of "Authorized" McIntosh Service providers via the McIntosh website. After calling several of those listed, George Meyer was the 1 and only service provider that responded immediately...and with very detailed information & competitive pricing...4 of those pieces have been serviced/repaired by George Meyer on time & at the exact price quoted me...I just took the 5th piece in & have no doubt the results will be the same... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GEOGE MEYER... Oh and did I mention they are located 45 miles from my home! but certainly worth the drive... I pass a number of other McIntosh "Authorized" Service providers on my way to George Meyers, and will continue to do so!

I've used George Meyer twice for service on my Fujitsu plasma TV and each time they've been great. Responsive, friendly, and very good at what they do.

Most recently removed a piece of dust the size of a fly (really!) from the inside of the screen. Geo Meyer picked up the set and delivered it back, clean and clear, in less than 24 hours. And stayed while I checked every component, answered all of my questions.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Geo Meyer TV to anyone who needs repair work. Excellent job.

If you have a tv with a manufacturer warranty DO NO USE THEM, ask for ANOTHER LOCAL COMPANY. Everything takes a month no matter what, they never call you back, and never get anything DONE. AWFUL PLACE!!! NEVER USE THEM

George Meyer TV has been servicing my Sony eqpt for 10 years now. With 3 pro cameras and 3 pro decks it's important for me to trust my service house. They're friendly and have always gone the extra step to make sure I'm happy. I won't go anywhere else with my pro eqpt. - you should definitely check them out. Parking is convenient too! GEORGE MEYERS ROCKS!!!!

Nothing but the highest of praise for George Meyer- was concerned after reading some reviews and not being from the Santa Monica area, but when I had a Sony HDTV just 6 months out of warranty lose picture Sony no longer had replacement components, Morris Polanski of George Meyer and his team not only provided excellent service, but advocacy with Sony and provided me with essential information to understand my options. Even when it came to initially diagnosing the issue, Morris and his team- young though some may look, were patient, knowledgeable, provided me with realistic expectations in terms of price, timing, etc. for similar issues. Ultimately, Morris was critical and bottom line, Sony replaced the unit FREE with an entirely new set because they could no longer had parts for the model. Morris really stepped up and had Sony not done right by me in what they proposed, George Meyer would do its best to see what it could do. They understand the importance of long-term customer relationships, not just trying to make the most on a single transaction. I cannot speak for the other reviewers and I have zero affiliation with GM, Morris or anyone there- moved out from NYC 2+ years ago. Just an incredibly satisfied customer who appreciates one of the few companies that still seems to value the customer relationship. I cannot say the same for expensive BMW convertible where I feel like I am being hustled and treated as if I bought leftover sale item at a discount retailer. They earned my business and I couldn't be happier.
