After visiting their store on a few occasions shopping for a wedding dress I finally ??settled? on a wedding dress. I felt pressured to get a dress on order as the sales assistant mentioned several times that I really needed to get a dress ordered to avoid rush fees. I placed the required 70% deposit of $619.44 down on a dress and signed the receipt, this happened on April 27th, 2011 at approx. 8:15pm (the store closed at 8:00pm). As I drove home I cried all the way knowing that I was pressured and this was definitely not a dress I loved. When I got home at approx. 9:30pm (66 mile drive home) I immediately called Jinny??s and left a detailed voicemail to ??not order the dress?. The following afternoon the sales assistant ??young Marina? (there are 2 Marina??s that work at the store and they refer to one as ??Young Marina?) called me confirming they received my voicemail to not order the dress and I told her that I would be back in the following week to look at some other dresses.
On May 2nd, 2011 (the following Monday) I again took the day off work to go back to the store to look at more dresses with my maid of honor and a friend. The other Marina was assisting me and had one dress pulled for me to try on but it wasn??t a dress that I cared for. At this point Marina said that I??ve basically tried on everything in the store. I then decided to go to another store and within 40 minutes I found the dress I wanted at The Wedding Day Store. I then called Jinny??s to let them know I found a dress and Marina immediately said ??you know there are no refunds?. I then looked at my receipt and sure enough, at the bottom of the receipt it read No Refunds ?? No Returns ?? No Exceptions.
In a nutshell?
?Great experience in the beginning but ultimately felt pressured to get a dress on order. Then the nightmare began!
?Ordered dress hesitantly then canceled within 1 hours. Sales assistant called the following day confirming order wasn??t placed.
?After finding a dress at another store called Jinny??s to get my deposit back and was informed of their NO REFUNDS NO EXCEPTIONS policy. I reminded them they actually didn??t order the dress. But was told that Jinny actually had placed the order and at 5 or 6 am from her home and given the manufacturer money to place the order.
?My Fiance called and they told him the same but also added that the manufacturer has pulled the fabric to make the dress and they couldn??t refund my money.
?A week later I called Jinny directly. When confronted that they didn??t order the dress she said it didn??t matter, I signed a contract and they couldn??t refund my deposit. She was adamant that I had a $610.44 store credit. So I told her that I would probably have to order a dress to resell on ebay.
?I then went in the store, told Jinny I talked with an attorney who says I should take them to small claims court, but I didn??t really have time for that. I also told her that I discovered there 9 complaints filed with the BBB and lengthy negative reviews on Yelp. She didn??t care.
?I started looking at dresses, she then came to me and asked how I was going to resolve this and I told her that she should just give me my money since the dress wasn??t ordered and there was no loss to them. She then said that she ordered the dress that night via e-mail (conflicts with it being ordered the following morning) and when they canceled the dress they were charged $250.00 by the manufacturer and were being generous by giving me the entire $619.00 as a store credit. I asked her to show me the e-mail of the order but she absolutely refused to.
?I then asked for a copy of all my paperwork and she said she didn??t have it. I asked if she lost it and she said ??no, I just don??t have it and don??t have time to look for it.? She finally said she would refund my deposit minus $250.00. I took this offer letting her know that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB to get the rest. The check was for exactly $369.44?the hell she didn??t have my paperwork.
?I am hoping to get the rest of my money back, $250.00. I understand that I signed the receipt that stated ??NO REFUNDS ?? NO EXCEPTIONS? but there has to be some leeway for immediately canceling an order before the order is actually placed and don??t you think they should have pointed out and/or told me about the NO REFUNDS ?? NO EXCEPTIONS policy. If this was pointed out to me I wouldn??t have risked placing the order being so unsure about the dress. And clearly, Jinny basically admitted to not placing the order and is now saying they did. You??d think if they did place the order she would have been happy to prove it to me by showing the e-mailed order AND showing proof that they paid the manufacturer $250.00 for canceling the order. And why would they give me a STORE CREDIT for the full $619.44 if it cost them $250.00 to cancel the order Then there??s the conflicting story of when Jinny actually placed the order?is did she.

The worse bridal store in the OC! Overall they are good at getting you through the door and capturing your business, but they lack experience in what is truly important...customer service, quality, educating their customers on the process, follow-through, organization, attentiveness, and sensitivity. I do have to say that Lyn & Marina were the best two specialist to work withthey were the sweetest & kind ladies there. The owners on the other hand : Julie, Jinny & John are by far the worst at following through as promised, they are rude & insensitive...they really don't care about making the customer happy! Julie is the worst...she rolls her eyes at you (RUDE) and straight out LIES! I had bridesmaids who had their dresses ordered up to 3 sizes too big, holes in my veil, horrible, poor quality & expensive alternations, and a refund promised that was never given. Oh and don't get your alterations done there, their quality is so poor and their seamstress' are rude and most of the time don't understand what you are asking them to do. When I mentioned that I would be contacting BBB and the Small Claims Court, they said I would never win, that they deal with this all the time and they are used to itthat ought to tell you something about them! I honestly would NEVER refer anyone to shop at Jinny's Bridal! I should have stuck with Marry Me Bridal...4 of my friends have gone through Marry Me Bridal and dealt with Maria there, she is awesome and they actually walk you through the measurements/alteration process.

Pros: Great prices, Marina & Lyn are awesome to work with

Cons: Don't care about making things right when they are wrong

I went here with my friend when was having her fitting and I ended up trying on dresses myself. The staff members were very helpful even though I did not have a clear wedding date in mind. That week they had a Maggie Sottero trunk show and I fell in love with a dress. Unfortunately I had to turn it down due to the uncertainty of the date. Check their website to see which brands they carry and for dates of trunk shows.

I was very happy with my initial visit to try on wedding dresses. My consultant's name was Stacy (haven't seen her since, wonder where she went) and I thought she was great. She helped me find the perfect dress... and it wasn't even a style I thought I would like.

The problem came when I was measured for the dress. I tried on the sample size 10, and I was measured to fit a size 4. I lost a couple pounds by the time the dress came in, and when I tried it on for the first time, it was so small! I couldn't breathe! I was irritated that the size I was talked into buying was so small (and I had lost weight!). When I started having the alterations done, I asked for all the petticoats to be taken out from underneath the skirt... the tailor said no, that's how it is supposed to be. I explained the sample size was much bigger than my actual dress, and it was so much lighter, and I didn't want a heavy dress. She made up all these reasons why I had to leave the petticoats in the dress, and (this is my fault) I signed the paperwork to have her work on my alterations. She also tried to talk me into not hemming the bottom of the dress to save a couple hundred dollars... it was 4 inches too long! I at least argued the hemming with her, and that's when my charges got the $500 mark. My friend and mom were there too, and each kept telling the tailor she was taking the hem too high, or too low, or something was crooked... good thing they could see what I couldn't

I really wish I had thought the alterations through, and read the fine print! They make you pay in advance for all the alterations, and the fine print states there is a $50 cancellation fee. I realize it was my fault for not forcing the issue of taking out the fluffiness of the dress, but I also realized the alterations person was not listening to what I wanted my dress to look like (which was the sample I had tried on originally). I ended up canceling the second appt, and eating $50 to take the dress to my own alterations person.

I would recommend buying your dress from Jinny's if you're on a tight budget, but definitely take your dress somewhere else for alterations. I don't think alterations is their specialty. And they don't seem to be on your side when you tell them what you want. I was really bummed that they charge a cancellation fee... even after buying one of their most expensive dresses, 6 bridesmaid dresses, and the MOB dress from their location. You'd think they would cut a break for canceling alterations that would have required me to take the dress to a different tailor anyway to fix what they wouldn't.

Pros: prices are good

Cons: high pressure sales, alterations no good

DO NOT HAVE YOUR DRESS ALTERED HERE. The seamstress sewed the hemline completely crooked and pulled the stitching so that the altered part was rippled. She then blamed the puckering on the dress needing to be pressed. After ""pressing"" the entire front of the gown was still wrinkled and the hemline was noticeably puckered. I called back and Jinny told me they'd been ""having trouble."" Why on earth would she have given me a gown that was not properly done instead of calling me or fixing the problem?Obviously, she must have been hoping I didn't notice, or didn't have time to insist. I took my dress to someone else who had no problem sewing it correctly and pressing it flat.

Worse still, JINNY IS A TOTAL B*TCH once you've already paid your money. The website's claim about ""our reputation for treating each and every bride-to-be like our daughter or good friend"" is complete nonsense: she actually SCREAMED at me on the phone, told me she was too busy to answer a simple question, repeatedly talked over top of me so that I couldn't finish a sentence, and even called me names.I was stunned at her rudeness and lack of professionalism. If that is really how she would treat a daughter, her children should be taken away from her. I would certainly NOT recommend this bridal salon.

1) Jinny's Bridal rips the designer tags out of all the dresses. If you ask who the dress is by, they won't tell you. They do this to avoid cross comparisons with other stors. THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU WHO ITS BY.\r
\r
2) The associates will tell you that you look great in every dress to make a sale. Take several friends with you to critique, and do not listen to the associates feedback!!!\r
\r
3) Don't believe them when they say that the dress is below retail value. In the wedding industry, there is no such thing as retail value.\r
\r
4) Jinny's bridal tries to tell you stories about how you should get something called ""rush shipping"" just to be safe. Don't buy it. Unless you are under three months till the wedding. All you will do is cough up another 200.\r
\r
5) Tell the sales associates that you ONLY want a bridal dress if that is the case and that you have everything else taken care of. Otherwise they will try to ""up sell"" you into buying you out of house and home.\r
\r
6) Jinny's bridal tries to make you sign papers very quickly without reading fine print. Make sure you read EVERYTHING verbatim before you sign. Ask questions. DON'T feel harrassed into signing before reading. You may be signing your dress away.\r
\r
7) Use your own seamstress. Jinny's bridal hires the cheapest seamstress available and charges you double so they get their own share. If you are dead set on using theirs, ask for her qualifications and see if they will provide you with a portfolio.\r
\r
8) WHEN THEY MEASURE YOU, make sure that they use a VINAL measuring tape. The cotton tape gets stretched over time, and this means that you will get a measurement that is smaller then you are. Then you will have awful alterations expenses. Bring your own if they don't have one on hand.\r
\r
9) When they take an accurate reading with the vinal tape, ask to see their bust chart in the back. Look and see what they write down as your measurements and make doubly sure that there is no accidental whoopsie. If they say that a size 12 is 36"" (breasts) 29"" (waist) 42"" (hips), then look on that chart yourself to confirm that those measurements MEAN SIZE 12. \r
\r
*think of how hoodwinked you could be. If you don't watch them measure you with accurate measuring tape and compare it to the designer's specific chart, they could say that YOU ARE ANY SIZE, based on the well known fact that different designers measure differently. DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU.\r
\r
10) ONLY PAY IN CHECK OR CREDIT CARD. If you can't pay in full don't pay at all. THIS GIVES YOU A RECORD. A credit card is even better because different credit beaureaus protect you. If you HAVE to pay in cash, make them hand write you a receipt. If they won't, leave immediately. \r
\r
11) Report them to the better business beaureau if anything bad happens. Places like this store are the slimiest I have seen in Los Angeles. Be very careful in there. \r
\r
REMEMBER> They want your money. They play dirty. They are for themselves only. I have seen several accounts of bad practice here. \r
\r
I hope you have a wonderful wedding day, and I sincerely hope that this helps you leave this store without ruining your wedding day. Love to all my beautiful brides!\r

I have had a couple of excellent experiences with Jinny's Bridal, as a bride-to-be. I have also referred two of my co-workers there, and they both recently purchased their wedding gowns from Jinny. \r
\r
I was first referred to Jinny's Bridal about 9 years ago by a friend who bought her wedding dress there. Although I did not end up ordering a dress because the engagement didn't work out, but when I got engaged again last year, I remembered that they had a great selection, a friendly staff and good prices. So, I went back. \r
\r
I didn't just go to Jinny's though. I checked out The Dresser, Castle for Brides, Alfred Angelo, David's Bridal, Marry Me Bridal, La Soie, Mon Amie, Mariposa Bridal and a few others in LA and Riverside. \r
\r
Jinny offered the best price on the designer dress that I wanted. Plus, her and her staff were so friendly and accomodating, and very knowledgable. I felt very confident ordering my wedding dress from Jinny.\r
\r
I had made some changes to the original dress design and was pleasantly surprised that the additional money I paid for the changes wasn't outrageous. My dress arrived on the exact date that it was promised. Since I did the hollow-to-hem measurement, the dress fit perfectly and needed NO alterations. :) \r
\r
The best part of my personal experience was the service that Jinny and her staff provided. There is a group of very friendly ladies who have been in the industry for many, many years. They know wedding dresses! I enjoyed chatting with all of them and the whole wedding-dress-buying experience was a positive one. \r
\r
I would absolutely, 125%, recommend Jinny's Bridal. Like I said, I've shopped around and I've referrered two other brides to Jinny's Bridal and they've both been pleased with the selection, service and prices. In my opinion, Jinny's Bridal is the best in OC. :)

My horrible experience with Jinny's Bridal dates back to December 2008. I still get angry just thinking about my nightmare-ish experience with them. I have no clue how they manage to stay in business.. at all. They are the rudest, saddest bunch of ladies I have encountered. I signed up for Citysearch just to write this review.

A wedding is supposed to be such a magical and wonderful experience. I'd encourage everyone that's had a horrible experience with Jinny's Bridal to report them to the BB Bureau as a business such as this shouldn't be in a business to cater to customers let alone brides-to-be!

Here's the quick version of my story:
-Ordered my dress 3 months in advance b/c I was living outside the USA at the time.
-Got the dress in time. Sales associate Julie knew I'd need alterations done 3 weeks before the wedding b/c that was when I got back to the USA.
-I wasn't happy with the alterations. After paying $420 in alterations they wanted to charge me an extra $200 to fix the straps. And they made me feel bad about it.
-Jinny tried to hard sell me a veil I was unsure I wanted.
-The whole staff was unwelcoming and unfriendly. Very self-righteous.
-They ran me out of the store crying and shaking because of how they were yelling at me.
-Plus, they humiliated me in front of my bridal party.

Don't waste your energy doing business with these people.

I had a good time shopping at Jinny's. They had a large selection of gowns and were helpful. I liked that the staff was not pushy or too involved. I found my dream dress somewhere else, but would have been very happy with several of the dressed I tried on at Jinny's. I bought my veil here and got a great deal!

IT'S LIKE A WEIGHT LOSS COMMERCIAL WHERE THEY MAKE EVERYTHING SEEM GREAT, WE ALL KNOW IT'S ALL FAKE. I SHOULD HAVE READ ALL THESE NEGATIVE POSTINGS BEFORE GOING TO JINNY'S. I'D LIKE TO STAY IN CONTACT WITH ALL THE PEOPLE THAT GOT HORRIBLE SERVICE HERE AND TAKE IT FURTHER.

First, the review summary is not entirely accurate. Like someone noted earlier, Jinny, who works at the shop, posted a 5 star review herself. \r
My experience with Jinny's bridal WAS very good until on January 6, 2009, a little more than 3 months after my wedding, I got a call from ""Jim,"" apparently he, not Jinny, is the ""owner."" ""Jim"" was calling to accuse me of ""stealing my dress"" and ""taking something I hadn't paid for."" This is entirely NOT TRUE and talk about after the fact. Figures, after I had thrown everything away (receipts) because as far as I was concerned everything wedding related was done and gone, all my vendors were paid BEFORE the wedding, the dress was paid for BEFORE it could be altered and, definitely, before it could leave the store. Heck, I've even received my professional video and all of my photo albums already!\r
Anyhow, It's still up in the air as to what's going to happen. I definitely am not going to pay twice for my wedding dress. I would recommend that you stay away from this store. I thought I was getting a great deal on a wonderful dress but instead all I've ended up with is a HUGE headache. If you do purchase a dress from Jinny's be sure to pay for your dress in FULL, the first day you order it. All balances due must be made in cash. This way they can ""lose the receipt"" and you'll have no canceled check to prove you paid the balance. It's amazing that we had no problem forking over the first $700 and the last $450 for alterations (both were checks so we can prove those payments) but the other $400 (that we were NOT allowed to write a check for) is conveniently missing. \r
PLEASE be careful should you choose to purchase a dress with Jinny's Bridal. I wouldn't want anyone else to have to deal with what I've had to deal with.\r
My sister got married in June and got her dress from Mon Amie. I wish I would've went there. I might have paid a little bit more but I wouldn't have to deal with this awful experience three months later!

I've been to Jinny's several times, but never as the bride (yet). I helped my best friend choose her gown and was there to experience/witness the straightforward quote & great service she received. I was amazed that nobody was trying to ""make a sell"" and just helped us with soooo many dresses. We went for her to try on dresses 3 times before the bride decided and every time the staff at Jinny's was great.\r
\r
Her dress was special order and fit perfectly. The train was short, like she requested, and they did not change the cost. \r
\r
After going to at LEAST 10 bridal shops, Jinny's stood out because we always had personal service with a smile. Most importantly to ME, they didn't claim every dress ""looks great"" or ""flatters her"" just because they wanted to sell a dress. Instead, they'd help us find what she was looking for. AND, the dress even arrived a couple weeks early. :o)\r
\r
Oh, not to mention my friend's 2 sisters also bought their wedding gowns at Jinny's and have nothing but praise for Jinny's.

We looked at all kinds of places for the best deal on a bridal gown in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernadino, & Orange County for the same dress at many of the other stores they were charging $3,000 more & one it was $7,000 more then at Jinny's Bridal Center's price. I see some of these reviews that are not true & faults about Jinny's Bridal these are other bridal store persons that are jealous & crazy wacked-out brides that don't know what there talking about. Jinny at Jinny's Bridal Center was so so nice & all the staff there are top notch professionals in the wedding service industry we bought my wedding gown plus all are bridesmaids dresses there, also we had a family friend do the alterations for our wedding gift, but my good friend had hers done at Jinny's Bridal this past year & was totally happy with the work.

Cons: Not really any!

I am amazed at what other reviewers have said about Jinny's Bridal!!! First, let me say that I have not gotten my dresses in yet so, I am not sure about any problems once they arrive, however, I cannot get over how helpful EVERY SINGLE PERSON in this store was!!! Marina, Cheri, and Jinny herself have all gone out of their way to make sure my experience and my special day will be better than ever!!\r
Marina sold me my gown. She did a great job of #1, not pushing me to buy anything and #2, finding me a gown that I NEVER would have chosen for myself but flatters me beautifully!! When I went back to the store to order my bridesmaid dresses, I was unsure about styles and colors. All of the ladies got together and helped me pick out gorgeous dresses in perfect colors (melon/tangerine). I needed a swatch of the dress because my wedding is in NJ while I'm living in CA. They pulled swatches out of their books, cut off inseams of dresses, and got me everything I need to help coordinate this wedding!\r
Then, I decided to change my colors - going half and half (melon/tangerine and tangerine/melon). I just received 3 phone calls from Jinny trying to get in touch with me to tell me that the 'sash' under the bust was going to be hideous tangerine color - even though she thought the half and half would be nice - she took it upon herself to call the manufacturer and work it out so that they are all melon! I didn't even think about that!! I would have cried if half of my girls had hideous bright orange sashes! I just can not get over how much she cared about my choice!\r
Finally, I ordered my wedding dress in the beginning of November and wanted to make sure I would have it in time to bring it home for my bridal shower. Marina called me yesterday to tell me (1 month later) that she pushed the dress through and it will be in tomorrow (even shipped over night without extra charge)!! They also gave the manufacturer an early wedding date so that my bridesmaids dresses will come in early!!

I bought my wedding dress from Jinny's and had a great experience. I went to about 10 different stores and they had the best selection and the best prices. I liked the different styles they had to choose from and the sales ladies were very helpful and knew what would look best on me. I got my mori lee wedding dress for $700! (It was originally $1,400) It was heavily beaded with intriquet embroidery too. I would recommend this store to anyone!

I would warn anyone against going here. My sister bought here wedding dress here and it came in way too big: somehow it'd been manufactured incorrectly. On my wedding dress the zipper broke the first time I put it on. It's weird how both our dresses had problems.... I seriously wonder if the dresses are offered so cheaply because they get the ones that didn't make it through quality assurance. \r
\r
As I spent much time at the shop waiting for alterations, etc. I can also tell you that the attendants are awful at helping women select a flattering wedding gown. The employees just fawn over every dress and offer no advice for what would actually play up a woman's best assets. \r
\r
Additionally, scheduling appointments is awful. I scheduled a seamstress appointment with Jinny, THE OWNER, only to show up and find that my dress wasn't there. A different seamstress had it home working on the broken zipper. This was even though the appointment was scheduled over three weeks prior and there was plenty of time to fix the zipper beforehand. No one offered to have the seamstress bring the dress over ASAP, no one offered to give me a discount on my alterations, nothing. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL! Then, to top it all off, when I finally do meet with the seamstress and get alterations, I decided after I left that $55 is a total ripoff for bra cups to be sewn in: I could buy a nice strapless bra for that price. I called immediately to change my order, got sent to voicemail, etc. again in a unprofessional manner, and finally talked to the seamstress the next day. She said she'd change my order and that she hadn't done any work on the dress yet. When I show up to my next appointment, there are bra cups! The seamstress LIED and said she'd already done the work when she'd talked to me on the phone. She obviously was just trying to get me to change my mind and keep the bra cups so she could make more money. Didn't work. I wasn't giving this awful shop one more cent.

Pros: Cheap Dresses

Cons: Awful Service, Unprofessional, Dresses Have Problems, You end up paying more in time and energy than whatever you save on the gown

Jinny's bridal is so bad that it takes the owner to get on here and post a 5 star review for herself further insulting the poor women whos bliss was shattered by their horrible customer service. I too have posted a personal experience review as well that is accurate of what it is really like in Jinny's Bridal. If you want a frustrating experience be my guest then Jinny's bridal is for you!

I strongly recommend not going here! This was my first time trying on dresses for my upcoming wedding and I had horrible service. I had several employees asking me if I needed help, but yet no one would help me. I was asked several questions and then ignored as if I was never there to begin with. Even with an appointment, I still waited for roughly an hour for any kind of service at all. And then to top it off, I was basically told that it was my fault that I wasn't being helped. mmmmmm........ \r
\r
Without trying on any dresses, I left the bridal center very discouraged. This is a time where a bride should be having a wonderful time picking out her dress with employees who are willing to help her make the wedding of her dreams come true. Instead, I left with frustration. What a wonderful way start to my dress search! As a wedding consultant, if you want to have fun and enjoy your time finding a dress, this is not the place to go! I will not recommend this bridal center to any of my future clients.

I started my search 6 months prior to my wedding. I knew it could be difficult to find a style I could afford and I know that it takes 8-10 weeks to order wedding dresses. I went to Jinny's on the suggestion of several vendors from a Long Beach bridal show. They said that Jinny's had a great selection and prices that were approx. 20% below standard high end shops. I went in with a certain silhouette in mind for or my frame but my sales associate, Marina, made addtional suggestions. Marina was helpful & she did not rush me through the process and ended up choosing my ideal dress that was completely different than I expected. Out of the 10+, I chose the 3rd most expensive but it was silk and not poly so I was purchasing quality and a new 2008 design. These dresses are NOT made to the persons body measurements, they are made to the manufacture charts. I was shown the size chart after I was measured. I viewed the chart and saw how the dress was going to be cut and would need to order to the largest body part size and would have to alter down for my final measurements. I am normally a size 4 and the chart shows me as a size 8 so I ordered a size 8. My dress was took about 7 weeks to come in because the dress is made when an order is placed. I think there are generally complaints to this and any specialty dress shop establishment because the bride will either change her mind, she is not realistic about her measurements or she gains weight. I encountered several ""bridezillas"" at the shop during my appointment and I feel bad for the pressures that the sales staff has to endure when the brides have attitude issues. At this writing I have wait until I get closer to my wedding day to alter my dress. Overall, I had a very easy breezy shopping experience at Jinny's and my dress is a beauty. Can't wait to get married!

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!! Stay away from this store!!! Yes, they may seem sweet, but beware if anything should ever go wrong. I was initally sucked in by the prices and ordered my dream dress. I sacraficed a 90min drive on the 405 to get there....multiple times! Here's my story, I ordered my dress long in advance of my wedding date. They called me down several times for various things even when I had informed them of my long commute. It was all necessary and could not be done on the same day. Then, I received a call that my dress had arrived...2 weeks late. I came down and found the dress to be too small. Had anyone bothered to check the size before calling me??? It was a size 0 !!! After 5 months of waiting, the wrong size was sent. I was about 4 weeks away from my wedding date and no word from Jinny's despite multiple phone calls and messages. She never updated me and when she did, I received incorrect information. As I began to look for other options at nearby retailers, I finally discovered that my dress had arrived. No phone calls from Jinny, she denied ever receiving my messages. On top of all the trouble and anxiety faced, there was no compensation and no alterations included. Jinny claimed that I knew I was getting a better deal therefore, she refused to compensate me for my troubles in any possible way. This seemed rather irresponsible to me given the circumstances. I would now have to pay extra to have this dress altered given the time frame allowed. The empolyees at Jinny's Bridal are incompetent and Jinny herself has a fake exterior and was absolutely rude! I have warned all my friends to STAY AWAY!! The price is a gamble....your peace of mind during such an important time in your life is PRICELESS!!! I learned that the hard way. Don't make the same mistake I did. \r

Pros: cheap dresses....if you actually get one. But is it worth the 10% you'll save???

Cons: Poor service. They contract with questionable retailers. Uncertain as to what you will receive. They won't return your phone calls. Unexprienced ""consultants""

This is in regards to the lady who says that I gave her the worst service....I'd like to know who this woman is because when we help a person into sizing it shows clearly in the book the charges for ""LARGER"" sizes are extra... Because her waist was larger than her bust we had to accomadate that. These dresses are NOT made to the persons body measurements, they are made to the manufacture charts. We showed her the manufactures chart and she saw how the dress was going to be cut. These are not mass produced because they are oftered in many different colors. So when they are ordered they are a special order and she was made aware of that also. Sorry she felt she had bad service from us, we have been serving Orange County for 25 years now and enjoy helping people. Jinny at Jinny's Bridal

Pros: Great selection, great prices, friendly service

I bought a bridesmaid dress from Jinny's and had a HORRIBLE experience. They ""helped"" me choose the wrong size dress (too big), quoted me a price and then called two weeks later to tell me it was wrong, and charged me double what I was originally quoted! Then when I went to pick it up they gave me the dress - did not check on me in the dressing room to see if everything was ok, and then made me pay a higher price than what they told me over the phone. I do not recommend Jinnny's Bridal - spend the extra $20 and get real service

I had no problems with my wedding dress. They were absolutely helpful and willing to match a lower price I found elsewhere for bridesmaids dresses I found. I found they had a really great variety and selection of dresses since I didnt want to spend too much (Dresses ranged from $500-$1200). But I must say their selection is about 6 months behind (but that wasnt an issue for me). I had a great experience with them. They let me shop with no pressure since its a small boutique store with no frills, but I would rather have THAT, than an overbearing sales person (like I had at Mon Amie!)...sure Mon Amie comes with a nice couch and bottled water, but you pay for it in the $2000 and up dress you select from them. I would highly recommend at least checking out Jinny's Bridal for cost savings.

Upon first glance, you think this bridal store is fabulous because of its selection and prices. However, Jinny, the owner, has made getting married the most stressful experience ever. She constantly blames the manufacturer, shipping companies (USP, FED X) or even her own employees, but will never take responsibility for something going wrong. One dress was completely sized wrong (by 6 inches), she never calls you back when she says she will and her estimated shipping times for products are usually wrong by 2 WEEKS. She does not stand by her product and leaves you with a large bill and tells you to deal with it.

Don't let a bridal store ruin your wedding planning - you have enough to deal with. Go somewhere else!
