If you're looking for a sedate, quiet practice with plush carpets, quiet treatment, and outrageous bills, look elsewhere. Dr. Lim gives high quality care without any of the silly bells and whistles. Yes, she can get backed up, and you do see and hear things you might not elsewhere. That's life. But she's always done good work for me and my family, she charges far less than the boutique practices, and nothing is sugarcoated with foolish banalities. Just keep an open mind, and you'll find that this dentist - dare I say it? can be fun!

My family has been with Dr LIm for many years, but no more !! She is a loon !! Very long waits for checkups" hours" . Now on two occasions she has scheduled a procedure for me and my husband and at the last minute called to say she does not feel like doing it !! This is member of the medical profession ?? Please if you are looking for a dentist look else where you will be glad you did !! She is certifiably nuts. No really !!

Not only is she a horrible dentist I think she has some mental issues. I to went to her for many years and her so called office manager who I must say SUCKS has cost her much business. Dr. Lim's work is piss poor and she over charges and still leaves decay behind. She should not be allowed to be a dentist because she is only money hunger unlike her days when she worked in golden ring mall. How said she has became and is a danger to everyone who walks in her door.

I have gone to this dentist since I was 6, I am now 22. Her practice in Overlea is fairly new, she is gentle and knows her stuff but one day I missed an appointment and I got a notice in the mail from her office manager that I am not welcome in her office any longer. I called and spoke with the manager who informed me there new policy is 3 missed appointments and you are out I said I only missed one and she said your family in total has missed countless appointments, meaning my mom, dad, brother, aunt, uncle, and their children. I was speechless since when do you count an entire family together (we don't live together and don't go to the dentist in groups) I was also hurt, I have been going to her for forever why would she be like this. I have insurance so it just didn't make sense to me, so no big deal I said I will just find a new dentist. When I called to ask for my records they gave me the only run around and when I finally did get my records, (I had to pick them up in person) Dr.Lim herself was there so I asked her did she mind explaining why after seeing me and my family for years why she would do this she shrugged and said it was explained in your letter. The level of professionalism is an all time low, I would never treat a patient like this. But as far as being an amazing dentist she is top of the line. DO NOT GO HERE!

I was going to Dr lim at Fullerton dental for a couple of years until i noticed her uncaring and nasty personality. I had a toothache when visiting her and she gave me an antibiotic and some pain medicine. I called her the next day to see what else i could take for the pain since the pan medicine was not helping. She refused to call in anything for me and refused to help me. She hung up on me twice and started to scream and yell at me on the phone when i called to cancel further appointments. All i asked was what else could i take to help with pain in addition to medicine and she accused me of being an ADDICT. In addition, to seeing her, you will end up waiting for 2 hours. she is very slow and babbles on about nothing. I have recently filed a complaint about her to the Maryland board of medicine.

First off, I've been to Dr. Lim on several different occasions and have received nothing but the best while in her chair. She does tend to ramble on sometimes, but to me that's part of her charm! I think she is a great dentist, she is excellent with people and I have never ever had any types of problems with her or her office.
As far as the person with the comment about the pricing differences, all dentist charge something different and surgical extractions are usually more. My question would have been, "Why are you recommending a surgical extraction?"
Anyway, just wanted to land my pennies here.

My sons appt was for 4pm. After waiting 1/2 hour I was informed that the tooth extraction would cost $225.00 I asked why so much and they said extraction involves surgrical procedure. I"m thinking to myself that seems abit much so after waiting total of an hour and a half and not being called in, I called another dentist made an appointment and got his tooth pulled for $125 no surgical procedures needed. They pulled the same scam on my daughter. Definitely would not go back or recommend to anyone

I would not dispute Pamela's review that Dr. Lim accepts patients in need of medical assistance. I have witnessed patients in shackles and chains many times during my appointments. So, Dr Lim certainly accepts medical assistance patients. That is not the issue nor the making of a good dentist. And, she is certainly capable of getting down with the best of them. All you have to do is keep an open ear to witness the profanity coming from her mouth resonating from the office on 7927 Belair Rd. Not to mention services charged by her office to my insurance company and myself that were never received. While her single other reviewer praises her for accepting medical assistance, she obviously did not have to listen to Dr. Lim ramble on for an entire appointment about the shortcomings of poor insurance. I would personally rather have a veterinarian work on my teeth rather than her. In the meantime, she can eat her sacred papaya.

Dr. Lim is one of the few dentists left that I'm aware of that takes medical assistance. She is always available in a pinch. If you call her office it doesn't take months to get an appointment. She services the whole community. You will see every walk of life and every race in her office. No one is left feeling uncomfortable or ackward. Her prices are fair and reasonable.
