I have never written a review of a doctor before, but my experience with this doctor was absolutely terrible, and I wanted to make sure others are aware of this. I went to Dr. Simpson several times for a very standard skin problem. I waited very long for the first appointment. After several appointments, the doctor seemed to blow me off. During the appointments, the doctor was expressionless, quiet, and almost seemed unsure of herself. The condition has actually worstened since her treatment. I have found a different doctor in the area and am having much better results. I have wondered why the doctor treated me as she did, as I am not a very difficult patient, and did not have a very difficult problem to treat. The office is brand new, and features an uncomfortable amount of advertisements for cosmetic skin treatments, like Restylane and botox. There is also a flat panel TV looping advertisements for these types of products. Given this, I am assuming that the reason I was so blatantly blown off is because the doctor would rather spend her time making money from cosmetic skin treatments rather than deal with basic dermatological problems. So, if you're going through the list of the providers that your insurance company has provided you, and you've got a kid with acne or other basic skin problems, don't even bother. Just cross her name out.
