I have taken my pets to Iselin Vet for many years. The facility is clean and the staff is pleasant. The doctors are kind to the animals and they really seem to enjoy their work. My pets have had major surgery and routine care done there and I find the prices to be comparable to the other vets in the area.

10/9/09, I brought my cat Sydney in and discussed with Dr. Lewis my concerns about her health. Dr. Lewis made a list of possible issues. He did not do any tests, he only wanted to treat the ear infection and return in 10 days for follow up. During this visit, he checked her ears and didn??t clean the scope.

I took Sydney back on 10/16/09. During this visit with Dr. Lewis, I voiced my concerns. I asked if we should do a blood test and x-ray now, as well as address the tooth.

Dr. Lewis examined Sydney with a vet tech. I offered to hold Sydney and he said it??s not allowed. He picked up a scope, I asked if it was clean and before I could explain my concern, the vet tech said, ??It??s not like we leave them on the floor or anything. Of course it??s clean.?

I tried to explain my concern to Dr. Lewis about cross contamination, since he said she had an ear infection. Dr. Lewis did not say anything, but during this ear examination, he cleaned the instrument before inserting into her ear, and wiped the instrument before examining the second ear.

Dr. Lewis started to draw blood, while vet tech held my cat down. He commented about the cat moving, I responded that because he was moving the needle, it was obviously uncomfortable and that was probably why she moved her leg. At that point, Dr. Lewis??s face turned red, he told the vet tech to hold her leg, and he pulled the needle out, looked at me and said, ??That??s it. I??m done with you. You are impossible to work with and I will not put up with this. I quit, get out, get out now. Go find yourself a new vet to work with; I don??t have to put up with this.? Then he walked out of the office.

For him to blame a cat for jerking its leg is wrong. In my opinion, the way he removed the needle borders on malpractice and for him to chastise me in the middle of a procedure is completely unprofessional.

I sent a letter to the owner and asked for copies of all my cats?? records and a letter of apology. To date, I have not received any response.

Thought that Dr. O'Neill was not friendly and for the money could be better. Much rather go to the vet in Metuchen. Personality of docs are very important

I have been taking my dog here for more than ten years. If we ever have an emergency, they fit him in very quickly, and are very careful and gentile during his yearly check ups. Medications are expensive, but the care for pets is first rate.

I have been going to Iselin Veterinary Hospital for many years. The doctors are all very knowledgeable and friendly. I have taken all of my animals here. I trust them completely with the health and care of my animals. Dr. Lewis rocks! Even if he is a Yankees fan, lol. Dr Ira and Dr O'Neill are also great doctors who I would recommend in a heart beat.

This hospital is a great place to bring your pets when they are ill, or just to get check ups or shots. The staff are very friendly people, always ready to answer your questions, and you will feel very comfortable that your pet is in good hands and being well taken care of! Definitely recommend to family and friends.

We usually use one particular doctor in this group because we really trust her. She has helped us care for many of our pets and we feel she is very knowledgeable in her field of work. However, it seems any time we visit this vet we PAY a lot of money. I don't know if it is everywhere, but it seems outrageous! I know quality pet care is hard to come by, but jeeze... you'll pay for it!

Dr. O'Neill is very intelligent, caring, and 100 percent dedicated. She will take the time to explain any illness and treatment that your furkid needs. On her off hours Dr. O'neill even works at the Emergency Clinic! The office staffs is friendly, smart, and will go out of their way to help you and your pet. You won't find a better Vet and staff any other place.
