A Great Little Animal Hospital
by Hilary G.
Full disclosure here: I used to work in the front office of this practice. I wanted to comment that a lot has changed at this practice in the past few years. Although it is still a dinky little building, there is a new General Practice Vet and an additional Cardiologist, both of which are wonderful, compassionate, brilliant veterinarians. I have since moved out of the area and no longer work there but given what I have seen behind the scenes while working with these doctors, I would travel the 1,000+ mi to bring my own pets to these vets, no question. Dr. Ewing, the general practice vet, is amazingly personable and goes out of her way to give pets the best treatment possible. I really can't recommend her enough.

This is my first time went to this pet hospital. It wasn't really big but there are a lot of facilities for different pets and also an emergency room. Their care and service was excellence, but I do notice that they charge more than my neighborhood vet doctor, who is just as good, probably because they're downtown and most downtown offices cost more than normal. So bottom line: great service, nothing to complain about, for a bit more than your usual pet hospital.

Great, Friendly Service
by Amyinportland
We just got back from our first visit after we changed vets hoping for a more convenient location. WOW! Not only was it a more convenient location, but everyone was great. Kind, informative, willing to answer questions......and the hours are convenient, too! The assistant took time to warm up to our cat, give us some tips on clipping nails and was just great. The vet took time to offer pros and cons of different types of vaccines. We really feel like we discovered a gem.
Pros: Kind receptionists, convenient location, great vet and ass't

You may want to think again.

The Cardiologist is fabulous. The other doctors I'm not so sure of. The waiting area could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly though.

Nothing Special

If you are looking for a place that shows great attention and love for your pets, keep on looking. I found Dr. Gary Hunt to be informative and willing to answer questions I had about my dog, but overall he and the staff didn?t seem that interested in the animals. We went in for a full check-up, but Dr. Hunt spent less than a minute physically looking at the dog? the rest was spent sitting down on a chair talking to us. The lobby could use a good mopping too.
