Del Amo Motorsports
At Del Amo Motorsports I paid a lot of money for a service that wasn't done properly (simple carb cleaning for a professional).
Del Amo Motorsports led me to believe that they were guaranteeing the work performed by requiring me to purchase parts (over $200 is gaskets smaller than a dime and 4 float needles) that I didn't need and did not fix the issue I had (bike still would not start cold).
When my motorcycle would not start (CBR600F3), the service employee wanted to charge me $150 for a diagnosis after I'd just paid ($725) to have it fixed.
I will stay away from this place and will never buy a new motorcycle from them or have a service performed by them. They are as bad as their yelp reviews.
I even filed a complaint with the better business bureau (below). They responded and lied about facts because they didn't even remember things accurately.
I will never go there again unless they give something free (I paid enough already!).
You'll get better service and pricing any place other than Del Amo Motorsports.

I made the issue very clear with a note taped onto the gas tank that the motorcycle would not start cold. When I picked it up after paying $725 the motorcycle still would not start cold. The choke wasn't functioning and was not cleaned properly as should have been done with a carburetor cleaning. I had to bring my Honda CBR600 to another mechanic who was able to clean out the choke system. Additionally, this other mechanic showed me gaskets that had been ruined from the previous botched carburetor cleaning due to non compatible cleaning solvents. Del Amo Motorsports led me to believe that they were guaranteeing the work performed by requireing me to purchase a gasket kit that cost over $190.00 When the motorcycle would not start, the service employee wanted to charge me $150 for a diagnosis after I'd just paid $725 to have it fixed.
A $150 diagnosis was not necessary. The choke was obviously not functioning. The work done by Del Amo Motorsports was performed improperly. The initial diagnosis was was that the carburetors needed to be cleaned because the choke was not working.
That diagnosis does not warrant a $150 charge in addition to the $725 that was charged and paid. Imagine having a repair shop diagnose something like a blown out tire. Some things are just obvious.
I told the service writer what the problem was and I even taped a note of the problem and symptoms for the mechanic to read (and removed all the fairings). A mechanic from another repair shop eventually fixed the problem by removeing the carburetors and re-clean thoroughly. That mechanic told me that he had to use a wire to clean out the openings in the choke system. After his service the motorcycle started properly with no troubles.
An initial diagnosis for $150 or a post $725 service diagnosis for an additional $150 is simply lame. The starting issue was unchanged after Del Amo Motorsports allegedly performed the carburetor cleaning charging $725. Don't even bring your bike to Del Amo Motorsports, you'll get better service any place else, even if you do it yourself.
as the title dictates, I was not happy. Basically, I had a flat on the freeway on the way to work, so I checked around the area, and found Del Amo motor-sports. They're very very friendly, I'll give you that. But it all went down hill from there. First off, their serices are WAY overpriced, as well as their parts marked up. Not to mention, they didn't even have the tire needed for my bike. So it takes them not the rest of the day, not the following day, but TWO freakin weeks to finally come to the conclusion that they should just replace the intertube and have done with it. When I got the bike back, they had also performed and charged me for chain maintainance. Which I neither asked for, nor did I consent to when they asked about it over the phone. I do it own maintainance because of numbskulls like these, and having to resort to them was both a costly, and pain in the ass experience.
