I cannot find enough words of praise for how professional, efficient, effective, persistent and all-around wonderful is was to work with the guys from Ron the Sewer Rat. They successfully unclogged the "mother of all clogs" that was causing my bathroom drains to back-up and for a very reasonable price. I now have peace of mind and sinks that drain, thanks to them. 5-STAR RATING, absolutely.
We needed help with our bathtub drain and, based on the review here at insiderpages, we called this strange company called Ron the Sewer Rat. Lee was our "Ron" and he was absolutely fantastic!
He explained that we had a "drum trap" that needed to be removed -- which required him to do one of two things: knock a whole in our wall to make quick work OR contort himself and take a longer time. He recommended the contortion.
Then my wife added three other minor fixes around the house involving our sinks and drains. He took them all on without batting an eye or charging us an arm and a leg. In fact, the cost was negotiated before the work started and was VERY competitive.
Finally, we had to leave the house before he could finish. He gave us the option to discontinue work until we returned OR keep working. Based on his truthfulness and steady personality, we immediately trusted him to stay while we left him a key.
When we returned a few hours later, the work areas had been cleaned up, the invoice was on the piano and he had locked the door and slipped the key through the mail slot.
Does it get any better? I HAVE NEVER HAD BETTER SERVICE. I am in awe. Thank you, Ron the Sewer Rat!
I recently had a clogged main sewer line and needed help ASAP. I called Ron The Sewer Rat because of the positive reviews I saw, and their representative Ben Pullis was at the house in a few hours. He did a great job (with alot of roots in the sewer) and the price was more than fair. They have it all...good, fast service; professional representatives; and a fair price. I highly recommend them!
I thought I had a clogged main drain and called around to different plumbers in my area. Ron the Sewer Rat (one of the better business names around) gave me an over the phone quote (which was maddeningly hard to find anywhere else) and showed up within the hour (faster than anyone else could do). The plumber, Ben, figured out the real problem was not the main drain and was able to fix it for less than I had been quoted over the phone. I appreciated the honesty and quick, professional work and the fact that it was less expensive than anyone else I checked out.
Referred to by neighbors - called "The Rat" and Chris was at my house within the hour. As a new homeowner, there is much I don't know. Chris explained a lot to me about my house's plumbing while we looked for my main drain. He was friendly, helpful, efficient, and completely reasonable. To find the right people to work with, who do a great job and you don't feel worse about paying them than you did about your original problem - that's worth a heck of a lot. I recommend you call these guys.
Fast service, very reasonable rates, super friendly. What more can you ask for? My plumbers name was John. He was not related to the owner but it is true that they hand pick only the best team members. John was friendly and knowledgable. He got there, asked what the problem was, snaked the drains and it was done in less than an hour. I'll be calling Ron the Sewer Rat for all my plumbing problems in the future.
Just had Ron the Sewer Rat out to unclog a backed up main drain in basement and they did a great job. Showed up on time, kept me in the loop as to what they were doing, and even mopped up floor after he finished which I wasn't expecting. Rates seemed reasonable too (first time I had to call a plumber).
We've had them out a couple times now. They seem to charge a reasonable rate even on Saturdays. Maybe not quite as fancy and professional as the rest of them (no suit or tie to speak of) but what the hey --- with a name like Ron The Sewer Rat you can't expect the world. If you need to save a buck and get the job done - they certainly seem up to it.
