I have used Ridgewood office for over twenty years, and they are generally quite helpful. Their prices are higher than other stores, but generally their quality is good. I do recall some frustrating interactions with them. On one such occasion, I bought supplies as well as paying for a number of art classes. The total was in the hundreds of dollars. One of the items I purchased was a a printer ink cartridge for which I willingly paid more, to help keep a neighborhood business solvent. Unfortunately, the cartridge was dried out. When I brought it back, they refused to refund the money, but insisted that they would only return the cost after they were reimbursed by their supplier, a week or so later. I had never heard of a store refusing to issue a refund for a defective product, and decided that perhaps for these supplies I might be better off with a store which stands behind their products. Ever since then, I have hesitated to shop with them.

The first and only review sounds exactly like someone from the store wrote it and not a real customer. Maybe you should go back and revise it to make it more credible sounding? I have shopped at this store and I have to say they are very helpful and do carry almost anything you need, however they are more expensive comapred to other stores. Still, when I can't find something I need elsewhere, I know I can probably get it at Ridgewood.

One thing that puts me over the edge is when I go into one of these very large office supply stores and I ask for help on a specific item and it is more of a task to find an employee who is willing to spare you about two minutes of their time than actually finding the item itself. I almost feel like I am an annoyance to them. In the past at the start of every new school semester I would cringe at the thought of having to go and buy my supplies at one of these large stores. At the start of my current semester I was complaining to one of my teachers about the nuisance it is to go and buy all my school supplies when she told me about Ridgewood Office Products Center and how the customer service is so pleasant and helpful that even though it is out of her way she makes a special trip there anytime she has to buy office supplies. So I decided to give it a try. I went there with my list of school supplies and for the first time ever I felt welcomed and not like an annoyance. The salesgirl took my list and walked around the store with me giving me feedback on what items are most popular and why. I actually enjoyed my shopping experience. Instead of having to roam a big store by myself, very confused and frustrated, I was personally walked around and I spent about one hour with the salesgirl not feeling rushed and getting the feedback and information that I needed. When I went home I felt relaxed and not frazzled like I have in the past when I would go to a larger office supply store. Now I am a loyal customer of Ridgewood Office Products Center and vow to never shop in a large office supply store ever again.
