I have pet dogs and cats. My husband and I also do Boston Terrier rescue work.
We take all our pets and foster dogs to the Quakertown Vet Clinic. We have received exceptional care for our animals by the Vets and the support staff.
1. The clinic has many Vets on staff, if you dont connect with one then ask to have you next appt with a different Vet. The clinic is open 24-7, how many Vets can you get 24-7 in the area, only Quakertown Vet Clinic.
2. Adel is a patient advocate. If you have any issues with the quality of care or cost, call Adel and she will help you navigate through your issue.
3. The cost of an appt is the same or slightly more, about $5.00 or less than other Vets in the area. Many times the follow up appt was done at no charge. Just like with all things in life you get what you pay for.
4. If you are a client at Quakertown Vet Clinic, any ER appt that you many require, fee is the same as a normal office visit. This is a benefit extended to regular clients. How can you beat that? $38.00 vs $75.00.
5. Any and all procedures are explained in detail as well as the cost. The Vets will offer their recommendation as well as the least expensive treatment to remedy the issue. Dr. Geller always will state the best case scenario and the worst and give the cost of both. It then becomes my decision as to how far and to what expense I want to pursue. IT IS MY DECISION.
6. Dr. Geller for our rescue dogs has given our group a non profit discount to help defray the costs to abused and abandoned Boston Terriers. No other Vet in the area will do the same.
7. My first dog Duke, at age 16yrs was critically ill from tumors rupturing in his vital organs. The staff at Quakertown Vet Clinic demonstrated compassion from Vet to front desk. I was able to spend as much time with him in the hospital area of the clinic as I wanted until I could feel comfortable with having him pts. I was allowed to stay with him even after he passed away, as much time as I needed.
We have tried other Veterinarians in the Quakertown area and have always returned to Quakertown Vet Clinic. Milford, I had a sick dog that I was told I could drop off and they would examine, she died before staff looked at her. And try to get an appt at Milford, weeks if not Months before you can get one. The smell at Milford is enough to knock a buzzard off of you know what kind of wagon. Alpha in Sellersville, talk about bad bedside manner, and they only have two Vets. Pleasant Valley, again rough demeanor and more costly, difficult to get an appt within a week. None of the Vets listed in this paragraph will let you behind the exam room. Who knows what the conditions are there?
In conclusion, if I were a pet Id want to go to Quakertown Vet Clinic!

Our show dogs and pets have been patient's at QVC for about 18 years now. This is by far the finest Veterinary Hospital around. We have gotten the best care for our dogs (show and pet). Yes, they have added on and gotten much bigger and more expensive, BUT even though I cannot always get to see my favorite vets, I must admit that the new ones have been wonderful. I drive one hour from Collegeville, PA to get to my vets.........in an emergency I can make it in 30 minutes. Thank you to Sam Geller for always being there for us and coming to the phone at a moment's notice. Thank you Joseph Consigli for explaining to us everything that worried us so much on lab work, tests, and for your gentle hands (Lacey thanks you too). Thank you Rosemary Newton for saving our Bebe's life at 3am with a bowel obstruction and leaving the tiniest of scars. Thank you to all the vets who have attended to our dogs and to the techs who work so hard and the receptionists who squeeze us in at a moment's notice (and my puppy people too!)
Thank you to Dr. Dan Burnside for building a legacy and leaving that Legacy in the hands of the very capable Dr. Samuel Geller, VMD and staff. We are very grateful clients.

This clinic mis-diagnosed cancer in my dog, He will either have to have his leg removed or be put down within the next week because of the neglect of this clinic. Never returning calls, Vet made appt & then never showed up, they kept renewing pain pills even when I said my 1 year old pup was getting worse. Bad choice, They will charge you over $200 a visit and toss your dog aside. Fort Washington Vet is trying to save him...go there!

Dr Erin Miller is a wonderful, loving and caring animal doctor. She recently helped me with the most difficult situation of having my loyal and most loving friend put down after 16 1/2 yrs. I appreciate the time and care she took with us during this most difficult situation and thank her dearly.

The staff of doctors is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have worked at the clinic for a very long time. Excellent boarding facilities and groomers too! Very clean.

While I will agree that the prices are somewhat steeper, I have not had the same negative experiences as others. We have lost two animals over the past year (due to advanced old age), but still drive an hour each way from NJ for care for our 2 dogs and 3 cats.
Emergency care is traumatic and expensive, but I've always found that they are very up front about the estimates, and I've never felt they ignore any of the animals. When I've been there during an emergency (my own and others) I have always seen a great deal of attention to the critical cases.
Dr. Geller's arthritis treatment and Dr. DiNardo's ACL surgery made my lab's quality of life do a complete 180 for the last two years of his life.
There are a couple of doctors there who could use better bedside manner, but they've always been available, responsive, and attentive to us both for routine matters, life-threatening emergencies, and during the painful process of putting a loved pet down.

Because of some really BAD experiences at less expensive veterinarians, I've taken my pets (and I have several) to Quakertown Veterinary Clinic for years. Our experiences bring us back. I agree that doing the right thing for your pets can be costly. Also, "life happens" when even the best is intended.

i took my dog there and spent a boat load of money for a dead dog!!!! After lots of test and unnesseary pain, they said my dog had pancreatitis and had to spend the night. when i went to visit my dog to say goodbye there were alot of animals in the hospital with only what i saw was three people there to take care of all those animals. i later found out that my dog died alone in a cage with no one around!!!! what kind of place is this!!!! my dogs last few moments of life were spent alone while these people were doing god know what!!! do not go here go to valley central emergency hospital!!!

Today I came home from work and my kitten seemed to be gagging on something and it made this weird grinding sound. I couldnt figure out what it was. The vet I take my other cat too was closed so this was my next best bet. I called qtown vet clinic and explained that I was really worried and he needed to be checked out. When i was getting ready to leave I notice he was fine and maybe a hairball. So I called them back and told them that he was okay. They insisted he comes to the vet anyway so i just went. I was in the exam room for 15 min. They checked his heart and temp. They said he was perfectly fine and wut he might have been choking on he swallowed. I thought... well duh thats why I called you back! So I go to check out and had to pay 74 dollars for NOTHING. WOW.. Anyways I suggest Milford Vet Clinic. Kathy knows what she is doing and is very great with prices!

I just moved from Los Angeles to Philadelphia and boarded my dog, Cory, who fell ill and the boarding place recommended Quakertown Veterinary Clinic because, as they say "it was the closest." My mother and I ran Cory to this place they call a clinic and the veterinarian "Dr. Rodawold" couldn't have been less caring or compassionate. The dog could not move and had to be brought it on a stretcher, panting very hard, and Dr. Rodawold took her time coming in and acted like it was all too much trouble for her. They took the dog into the hospital and that night told me that the dog was fine, stable and was being taken out for a walk. The next morning Dr. Rodawold called to tell us that the dog needed extensive treatment (trying to get even more money) and when we said we were taking our dog out of there she argued and argued with my mother and told us we need to keep that dog there, that the dog could not travel. When we told her we were picking up Cory she was very angry said that Cory should be put to sleep. This horrible Doctor called us an hour later to say that Cory was dead. Really strange. What did she do to Cory? They then called me today to say that we needed to pay an extra $278.00 after already giving them a deposit of $200.00, Please don't take your wonderful pet to this place, they have broken our hearts. Please tell your family and friends.

No matter what we go there for, it costs an arm & a leg. They make it impossible to try and keep your pets healthy unless your rich or willing to make payments on your credit card or take out a loan. We've been going there for years but like the last review, since they built the new complex the prices are outragous! $325-$350 to get a yorkies teeth cleaned?????? Give me a break!!!!

Well, they built the Taj Mahal of vet offices, and now we have to pay for it. This place is way overpriced, and we don't go there anymore because they messed up when we took our 15 year old sheltie to go to her final resting place there. They put her through a lot of unnecessary pain and trauma, and were emotionless.

Incompetent vets, nickle and dime you for everything! complete rip off and they let our dog die in a cage there and screwed up my other dog's surgery and charged me to redo it!!!!! They left my dog sit in a cage for 4 days until they could get around to operate on her!!!!!!!! while she had a severely dislocated back leg!!!!! will NEVER go there again!!1 then they tried to charge me to take my xrays to my new vet, which i paid for in the 1st place!!!!
Pros: None
Cons: Everything
