I have used them twice. irst tIme because I had tree roots in a sewer drain line. they cut the roots and made sure everything was draining fine. I used them because one of their plumbers was at Crumps and he was so nice and helped me

Needed a quick stem valve replacement on rental property that was streaming water. Called Johnny Rooter, 3 hours later and for a extremely reasonable amount, fixed the problem!

Last night my water main to my house burst flooding my back yard. Could be worse, it could have flooded the inside of the house. \n\nI called Johnny Rooter. They let me know what the overtime rate would be if they sent someone out immediately (it was 7:30pm). Then they let me know what the rate would be if I could wait until morning. It was significantly cheaper. I chose the morning option and they guided me, over the phone, instructing me how to shut off the water to the house so the spraying water would stop. Before hanging up they said they would call me in the morning. \n\n\n8:14am this morning they called! (This is the most miraculous thing, right? How often to businesses say they will call you but never do?)\n\nI told them I was here and ready for the plumbers to come fix my problem, and she said they would be right over. 20 minutes later 2 friendly plumbers showed up. They again explained their rates, they explained what they would do. They said they would not charge time for when they went to buy the parts they needed to fix the pipe. They were very communicative, explaining things very clearly, I never had to wonder what they were doing. They even told me that I could find a coupon in the back of my phone book or on the Johnny Rooter website and save $10. \n\nThey went down the street to get parts (only took about 10 minutes). \nThe whole fix only took an hour and a half. \n\nI highly recommend this company to anyone in the Austin area who needs plumbing service. \n

Pros: Reliable, Fast, easy to work with, good communication

Two guys came over and fixed a leaky sink and clog for under $300 and were quick, efficient and professional. This same job was quoted to us by ARS to end up being around $800. Glad we got a second opinion.

My bathtub had low pressure and they spent two hours trying to fix at the end the only solution was to break the wall, for me it wasn't a solution . I was charged 200 dollars for no fixing it and the worst part is now the bathtub is not working at all. It has no pressure... I called to complain and the owner was really rude to me. He said because I didn't agree in breaking the wall there was no way to put it back the way it was before...So beware they can rip you off and leave your plumbing in worse condition.

Cons: Damage no repair at all, I was treated unfairly

Dave, Rico and Dennis arrived on time and did a exceptionally professional job in repairing the broken sewer line in our yard.\n\nThey were efficient, knowledgeable and completed their work quickly. When they finished the lawn in the digging/work area looked nearly as good as it did before they started, more than surpassing my expectations.\n\nI congratulate them on having a great staff. I highly recommend Johnny Rooter!\n

My mother had a foundation leak. Before the agent looked at the foundation he collected the fee. She lifted the carpet and moved the furniture for the agent! Diagnoses was that it was a copper pipe leak. She was informed that he could not write the report and that she would have to wait until his mgr came back to give the final inspection. I decided to call them myself. The rep was rude. I was told that the mgr was not in town and wouldn't be back until the following week. I asked to have the mgr call me directly once he arrived. Never got that call. Today my mother informed me that the mgr reported to her insurance rep that the pipe was under the foundation. HOW HE COULD DETERMINE THAT WITHOUT EVER COMING TO HER HOME IS MIND BOGGLING! Overall disappointing experience...

Cons: unprofessional & rude, poor CE and service, no follow through

Besides speeding through Crestview, I had a mixed experience with Johnny Rooter with a kitchen sink install. Pro: plumber gave me the parts needed and I went to Crumps and bought them myself. Cons: Sink installed sloppily. Lack of attention to detail. Unprofessional (smelly) but friendly (didn't mind my son bugging him). Sink leaked a day later and had to call them back to fix it right.\n\n

It is Labor Day weekend. I have just returned from a business trip. My homecoming was a leak in my water well system and my garage soaked! I didn't know who to call and chose Johnny Rooter because I found them on Citysearch and because I had heard a recommendation from a radio commercial. I was sure no one would be able to get to my repair for the holiday! I called at 10:30 PM and got a person! She scheduled a call for the service repairman and he called immediately! Althought he was unable to repair the leak that night, I received another call the next morning to confirm I still needed a repair and in less than 30 minutes the repair guy was at my house. I am very pleased and will always recommend them to others. Thanks guys!
