We have been practicing for over 30 years and we do appreciate and love all of our patients. Its unfortunate to see 3 or 4 people that we couldn't meet their needs. We strive for excellence and quality. And we like to see everyone happy.

I had an accident and my front tooth was fractured. My pain was unbearable. I was devastated and a friend told me about Dossett Dental. My experience with Dossett Dental was the best from the beginning until the end. Well, there is no ending as I will use Dossett Dental in the future for my entire dental needs. Susana took my call when I called to make an appointment and she understood I wanted to be seen immediately. She provided me with great directions to the office and assured I would be in great hands. The cost for my extraction and bridge was no where close to what I feared it would be. I was so pleased to hear that I could actually do payment plans with Care Credit and that they accepted Care Credit as my method of payment. Fariba at Dossett Dental made me feel at ease as she explained the financial part to get my treatment. I want to thank each and every staff member at Dossett Dental. Words could not explain how much I appreciate you guys being there for me.

the number one priority of this office is money, your money. they are ridiculous....
Need to know that the office charges $75 to give you a copy of your own xray's... and that is only one of my specific complaints

I was referred to the Dallas office by a friend and was very pleased with the service. The staff was very friendly and Dr. Koo explained the procedures thoroughly. I've gotten 3 crowns done and they look beautiful!

Thank you for the great service! I would definitely refer this office to my friends.

My girlfriend went for cleaning and exam at Dossett Dental in 2011. The dentist, a Korean lady named Susan Koo said my girlfriend needed deep cleaning, a crown, and a bridge. She then sent my girlfriend out to talk with the office manager about the cost.

The office manager, a lady named Fariba Dadgostar, told her the deep cleaning would be $900. She then went on to tell her that she needed the deep cleaning because she had a gum infection and that her lower jaw would rot away if she did not get the deep cleaning. The dentist never mentioned she had a gum infection or anything about her lower jaw rotting away.

My girlfriend told her she just wanted the regular cleaning and exam and that was all; however, Fabia said they would only the deep cleaning for $900. This middle-eastern lady was not a dentist and here she was making medical evaluations. I asked to speak to the dentist and Fabia refused this request. We walked out of the place in disgust.

About a week later she went to another dentist and this dentist told her she did not need deep cleaning at all and that she did not have a gum infection. They did the regular cleaning and exam and everything was fine.

I was really angry about what we had experienced at Dossett Dental and filed a compliant with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. They are investigating the matter at the time of this posting.

I would recommend everyone to avoid Dossett Dental as I got the feeling they pull this kind of stuff on others. I spoke to my dentist about the deep cleaning and he said it was rarely needed.

I had a molar that had abscessed and needed to be extracted. Yet it was so easy; the day of my appointment I came into the dentist office at 4:30 and everything was done before 5:00. They are so excellent that the procedure was virtually painless. All the staff here is so kind and gentle. Kudos!!!!

Dossett Dental was the best experience I've ever had at a dental office. I am seeing a lot of reviews that are terrible and it makes me sad to see because all I want to do is sing it's praises!!!
I went to the Dallas office and met with the Office Manager there...she was a very pleasant woman. Her name was Fariba, I think...
I can't stress enough how helpful she and the entire staff were in my numerous visits.
My teeth were a very sore and embarrassing subject for me. I rarely smiled and when I did I would cover my mouth without even thinking about it (mostly out of habit).
I made the appointment for the free exam and xrays and Farina came in and was very honest about what needed to be done and all of my options.
I decided to get the veneers because it was something I had dreamed of for years.
She let me know of a program called Care Credit and much to my surprise I was approved. I made my appointment that day for the following week.
I was in and out in a matter of 3 hours with an new set of teeth!!! Granted they were the temporaries until I got my permanent veneers but I already couldn't stop staring at myself or SMILING!
I can't tell you how much my life changed. Fariba CHANGED my LIFE!!!
If she hadn't been so helpful and basically held my hand through each step I wouldn't be where I am today.
I can't thank DOSSETT DENTAL enough...
I have and will continue to refer all of my friends, family and even strangers to this office

As a busy professional, I was drawn to this office based on their Saturday hours. However, they made me wait over 45 minutes. After they saw me they recommended many procedures and tests that were a complete surprise to me based on my past dental visits. I have moved many times and therefore have seen many dentists, none of whom have recommended these type of treatments. Also, they did not recommend any alternative treatments. Sure many dentists think asymptomatic wisdom teeeth need to come out; however, there is a group that also say you can leave it alone until they are symptomatic. Because of this I had very little confidence that all the other treatments they were recommending were actually valid or necessary. They say on their forms that they are not part of any network; obviously they have a problem with charging fees considered acceptable to insurance companies. I basically left the office and will see another dentists, probably at a University or someone who is know for ethical decision making. They have a coupon on their website offering free exam and xrays; how many people are drawn in and scared into getting unnecessary procedures? Read the other reviews and decide for yourself before making an appointment.

Their billing process is a scam. Their staff is incompetent and no understanding whatsoever. They overcharge and bill the patient for what the insurance company has already paid. They do not honor their agreements. They try to persuade you to receive treatment that you do not need and are very overpriced. Of course, they are very nice. They want you to believe that they care and have your best interest in mind.

I went to the Mckinney office Doctor and staff where very nice, but office manager very money hungry, she kept trying to convince me with all the payment plans they had when I was very specific on doing my dental work step by step. She would leave and come back trying to give me a deal if I did all the work. She was very PUSHY AND RUDE.Owner needs to be aware of the type of person they have running their office as an "office manager". Don't recommend

Dossett Dental was by far the worst dental experience of my entire life.

After living in Dallas a short while, I began looking for a dentist for my bi-annual cleaning and check-up, and I also wanted to get a whitening done before my wedding last December.

One day I received a flier in the mail from Dossett Dental on Arapaho Road. I should accept part of the blame for not researching this company beyond their own website, because as I would find out later, there are MANY complaints about them online. The flier advertised something to the effect of: "99 dollars for x-rays and cleaning" and also had a great offer for whitening.

So I quickly scheduled an appointment. I show up, they take x-rays, and a lady comes in (not the dentist advertised on the brochure, Dossett himself) with a huuuuuge laundry list of things that she called "emergency dental work". I protested that I hadn't had any pain so I would hardly believe I had 10 or more cavities and 2 teeth in need of crowns! The dentist then went and got their "office manager'' who appears to be the "BIG MAN" in this office scheme. She had them get some sort of small video camera device that they put on my "horrible" tooth and showed something on a screen that looked horrible and black and gray, and said that I must get this fixed immediately or face the need for a root canal very soon. Looking back, I'm pretty sure the image on the screen was NOT my tooth.

Out of fear, I did authorize them to fix that ONE tooth.

They quickly placed the laughing gas mask on me, and it only, regrettably, continues to worsen from there. After being under the 'influence' of the gas mask, they brought in a huge stack of forms apparently authorizing them to do a ton of other work on my teeth... After horrible pain and sobering back up from the laughing gas, I began to realize that I needed to get out of there ASAP. I paid my due amount for that day, but did have to reschedule a follow-up for the placement of my permanent crown a few weeks later. As walking out the door, I felt woozy, and had to call my husband to come get me. Something also seemed fishy about their laughing gas. Drugging patients to sign up for more dentistry is NOT cool.

My husband ensured that I had paid the amount due to Dossett Dental, and we told them I would get a second opinion elsewhere.
I did have to go back to get the permanent crown, but I brought my assertive mother-in-law with me to back me up. I'm horrible and confrontations, and I'm glad I brought her because, sure enough, they tried to charge me 200 more dollars on top of the 1100 I had already paid them. We assured them we did NOT owe anything to them and have not heard from them since.

We have sent letters to the Better Business Bureau and would like to spread the word as far and wide as we can.

Bottom line, Dossett Dental said I needed 11 THOUSAND dollars worth of dental work. Come to find out at my second opinion, I only had ONE cavity, and probably didn't even need that crown they conned me into.

Beware.

I'm really surprised on how fast i could get an appointment at the dallas office on Arapaho rd.! I hesitated at first but decided to put my trust in them for my first visit at this office. I had my cleaning and didn't have any other concerns. I especially liked Dr. Spencer for taking the time and answering all the questions i had for him. I'm glad i decided to go to this dentist! i hesitated at first because i got used to my dentist i had for many many years, but he retired and i had to make the fist move...I would really recommend this office to anyone..

THIS PLACE IS A BILLING NIGHTMARE BECAUSE THEY ARE DISHONEST! Don??t believe me? Read other reviews of them online. It is the same tune written by many many others. God bless the Internet and the information it provides.

After getting one of their add fliers in the mail for a free cleaning, initial exam, etcetera I went to Dossett Dental with my oldest son after confirming they accepted our insurance. I told them I want them to know exactly what insurance covers because I do not want anything done (x-rays) that is not covered; we are just there for a cleaning. They confirmed they would not do that and the appointments proceeded without incident. Now, three months later I get a 'past-due' bill for my son's cleaning for $258!! Aside from the fact I made it very clear before the appointments that I wanted nothing done that insurance would not cover (they took my son in the same time I was sitting in the chair), and I verified the insurance that they cover 100% cleanings and even annual x-rays. Then on the bill they sent is a hand written note that ??If $87 is paid toward balance for the adult dental cleaning the rest of the balance will be adjusted?. Adult cleaning? Only two of us came in and I had a coupon ad that made one of our initial visit cleanings free! Makes me wonder, do they just send bills out knowing most people will simply pay them (months after the appointment) and then also charge insurance? Send coupons for free cleanings then charge the insurance (and patient too) after the fact? Something is fishy about any business that doesn??t send a bill for three months and then labels the bill they send as ??90 days past due?. After discussing the issue with Matt he said they don??t take the insurance my son has, even though I called and verified they accepted it before making the appointment and then again on the day of the appointment. Oh yea, and they apparently did more work than the coupon covered so THAT is not going to cover their charges either.

Aside from all that, I never had a cleaning done so quick and incomplete in my life. About 2 minutes was spent polishing ALL my teeth and there was almost no time spent working around my gums, the spots I don??t get very well. Anyways I normally leave the dentist feeling my teeth with my tongue because they are so smooth and clean, but I they didn??t feel that way when I left Dossett Dental.

This place really should be shut down all locations. I agree with the reviews that state this dental office must be hurting for money. I had teeth cleaning appt....while i'm in the chair the hygentist tells me i have to do your exrays...I didn't authorize this service...then after that she introduce me to see there new dentist and, I have extra charge because, I met the doctor cmon now!!!! I hate that a year ago they were an okay office NOW IT's FRAUD OF SERVICE towards all insurance companies and consumers who enter this place

I went to Dossett Dental to have a tooth removed that I knew needed to be for quite some time. My uncle is a dentist and Kansas City and suggested I just get it done here. They told me that I would need to pay 8000 after insurance and that I would need to do finanace. They were pressuring me into doing it. I made an appointment at a later date for an extraction, they rescheduled the appointment and had me come in another week. When I went in the dentist I saw wasn't the one who I initially talked to or one on their website. While I was there the lady kept saying "You need a thorough cleaning its only 50 dollars more you should do it." I told her No just the extraction and my insurance covers cleanings she claimed this one was different and that I really needed to do it. She then proceeded to bring it up to me FIVE more time until I caved and decided fine just do it. They ended up charging my insurance and they would only pay for part of that cleaning. So now I am getting a call saying I need to pay what my insurance didn't for the cleaning that I didn't want or think I needed in the first place. Also, the extraction I received was BRUTAL. I ran out of anesthesia and they kept digging in my gums for the tooth saying they were almost one and wouldn't give me another shot. I complained about pain a week later and they told me that was impossible. A few days after that a piece of TOOTH was poking out of my gum. They told me to come in for an x-ray and they would fix it. Instead, I made a trip to Kansas City to see my uncle. This place is absolutely ridiculous and overpriced. My uncle charges 500 for a root canal and they charge WAY more than that. Bottom line it was awful experience, everything it shouldn't be. I honestly believe practices like this are why people don't see dentists when they need to.

This is the most horrible dentist ever. Not only did I catch them padding the bill for my two daughters' wisdom teeth extraction by $3000, (it took me six months and the threat of a lawsuit to recover it!) but almost everything they have done has had to be fixed or repaired. A root canal for my daughter was done improperly, and she has to have another one. A simple $60 filling for me turned into a $1200 crown 2 years later because they failed to get all the decay out (there was no other hole in the tooth, so the dentist knew it had been improperly filled). They also told me it was ok to come only once a year for cleanings, since my gingivitis was 'under control' but when I came back, they claimed I needed a very expensive procedure that included 12 shots in my gums. I was told not to worry, insurance paid for it. If I had come in for the 6 mth, it wouldn't have been necessary I feel. They just wanted the extra money-I guess they don't make much on teeth cleanings.

I rarely end up in tears when going to a doctor, even if I am sick. I went to this dentist with one simple problem/question, and the next thing I knew, I was in some close-quartered backroom being pressured into a what was essentially an elaborate finance plan that totaled more than $13000. That's 13 followed by THREE zeros. They had me convinced that my teeth, which have never given me major problems or pain, were immanently doomed to fall out of my head. They literally drove me to tears right there in the office in the effort to extract money from me now and far into the future.

These folks are NOT concerned about your teeth. Save yourself some Dental and Mental health problems and avoid Dosset Dental at all cost, especially the one to your bank account.

Sincerely,
Maggie

Dr Dossett gave me my smile. I had dental surgery there, got veneers and have received dozens of compliments on my smile. No one guesses it's not natural. A very caring and precise staff. The dental hygienists come and go, but the quality of service remains the same. It's a no-pain office. Easy to get to and easy parking. Best of all -- when you call to make an appointment they get you in immediately -- no pushing you off for weeks or months (as I've heard from other places). Accept many forms of insurance.
