If you need ANYTHING for paddle sports, mountain biking, backpacking, hiking, or just chillin' outside, this is the place to go. Located right on the Nantahala river, they have canoe, kayak, raft, and bike rentals. This is one of the first main stops for thru hikers of the Appalachian Trail. There's a couple restaurants, places to picnic, view the river, and a train stop right here.

We used these people to set us up for rafting down the river. They did a great job and the equipment was top notch. The staff was very helpful and we all had a good time.

What a blast we have had rafting several times the last few years on the Nantahala River! Loads of fun. We have gone both follow-a-guide and fully guided. Wildwater Ltd. is a class act. We look forward to going again summer 2009!

If you're looking for a good time, the Nantahala Outdoor Center is a great place to go. They have guided and unguided trips down the Nantahala in large rafts and smaller "duckies". Everyone is sure to have a good time.
