I'm not the one to write reviews but in this case I feel I have to,and I can only hope that it reaches other parents.
My daughter was at this daycare for about 6 months.

1.This place is small and messy.
Sometimes when I went to pick her up, she either lost one sock or was barefoot totally. Sometimes socks or shoes were found under/on/near the couch. Sometimes sock(s) was never found. In this case (which happened quite often), Eman usually said, she was sorry and she had no idea where the sock was. Maybe the clean lady would find it when she came to clean the place during the weekend.

2. This place is disorganized.
I kept a couple of shirts/pairs of pants at daycare for emergency. Eman always always messed them up with other kids' clothes. After we left this daycare, I went back to pick up my kid's stuff. She took out a box of clothes and asked me which ones were my daughter's, which did not surprise me at all. What SURPRISED AND SICKENED me the MOST was that she also showed me 3 toothbrushes (each one was dirty and full of dry toothpaste) and asked me which one was my daughter's .... REALLY?! So all this time, the kids were sharing toothbrushes?! and all these toothbrushes were never been washed?!

3.Carelessness
One day my daughter got scratches all over her face (cheek, forehead and chin) at the daycare (I took a picture of her but dont want to show her face on a public website). First, Eman said she ran and bumped her face into a pillow case zipper. The sharp edge of a zipper left scratches on her face. I was not satisfied with her answer. How can a zipper give her scratches all over the face?! So later that night, I texted her and asked again why so many scratches on my daughter's cheek, forehead and chin. Eman texted back with a different story and complaint that it was all my daughter's fault (she hit other kids, ran and jumped too much). See screenshot of texts I attached on yelp.
During the winter time, my daughter always had dry mucus around her nose when I picked her up.

4. Impatience
My daughter is very energetic and active. She likes to run and climb. She was only 14-20 months old when she was at this daycare. As I mentioned earlier, this place is very small and lack of toys, activities and games. All she can do was jumping up and down on the couch (and yes, my daughter can jump when she was only one). Eman called her a "hyper". She complaint that my daughter did not listen or follow her instructions and constantly disturbed other kids' activities (and yes, my daughter was only one and Eman expected a one year old to listen to her and follow her instructions). So what did Eman do to discipline my one year old daughter? She LOCKED MY DAUGHTER ON A HIGHCHAIR MOST OF THE TIME. Eman said because my daughter constantly disturbed other kids, she had no choices but kept her on a highchair and kept her away from the group. My poor baby, when other kids were playing by the table and having fun, she was kept far and high on a highchair watching them. So did my daughter cry when being kept on a highchair? Eman said, yes she cried and she also kicked the highchair with her feet hard and loud, even the neighbor next door complaint about the noise by knocking on the wall.
When other kids were napping and my daughter did not want to nap, what did Eman do to keep her quiet? Eman said, because my daughter did not want to sleep, she had no choice but KEPT HER ON A HIGHCHAIR. Then my daughter would fall asleep ON A HIGHCHAIR.

5. Food
Eman provided 3 meals for kids. The last meal serviced at 4-4:30pm. I picked her up around 5:15pm. By the time she got home, she always seemed hungry. So I asked Eman if we can take some food home and we'd like to pay for extra food. She agreed and charged $2.5 for extra food. Other reviews mentioned that Eman packed extra food for them to take home. It didn't happen to us until we paid for it. $2.5 is a not big deal. We then knew what she ate by taking extra food home. So how was the food? Well, let me put it in this way, based on the experience from Nellie's daycare, we chose a new daycare that does NOT provide breakfast, lunch or dinner, because we want our baby to eat healthy, fresh and nutritious food everyday. To be fair, every family eats differently. You may find her food delicious, healthy and fresh.

We are new parents. Eman claimed she had over 18 years experience in child care. And she did seem nice, warm and caring when we first met. Although the place itself is tiny and lack of toys or books, we decided to give it a try because we thought a caring teacher is more important than a fancy environment. We made a bad decision. I really regret that we did not leave Nellie's daycare sooner!
Our daughter has been at a new daycare for 4 months. She listens and follows instructions very well. She likes group activities and plays with other kids. She is very clean and dresses well when I pick her up everyday. A BIG DIFFERENCE!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Nellie's Daycare!!

Eman, the lady at this home-based daycare is absolutely amazing. She came highly recommended by a friend and we fell in love with her instantly. She is loving, gentle, kind, and oh so patient!! You know it takes a lot of patience to take care of children all day long. The really wonderful thing is that she genuinely LOVES the kids. My son has been going there since 11 mo and he adores her. He doesn't cry when I drop him off, but he cries at pickup time, that tells you how much he enjoys himself there.

Eman is also very health-conscious and cooks yummy and nutritious meals for the kids. She managed to get my son to try many foods that he hasn't had before. Moreover, she packs foods into containers to give to the parents everyday. She would say, "Oh, Caleb likes the pasta that I made today, so I'm giving you a bigger container today." Yes, many nights my husband and I would just eat whatever we bring him from the daycare. She completely understands how little time we working parents have. She is THAT good!

The daycare is in a home, so it's very comfortable and has plenty of toys for the kids. There is also an outside area with slides and many outdoor things for the kids to do on sunny days. Eman also teaches them colors, numbers, alphabets,...etc. She keeps her home clean and washes the toys/sheets regularly. We have been so happy with her. She is more than a daycare giver, she is like a family to us now!

We HIGHLY recommend her to our friends and family!!
