Welcome to Molly's! Miss Molly was my third grade teacher. The cupcakes at our Chicago bakery were inspired by her. Whenever one of us had a birthday, Miss Molly would bake us cupcakes. She had her own special recipe for chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. Just about everyone who tries them thinks they're the best cupcakes ever. In honor of Molly and as a way to help our children, a portion of our profits is donated directly to schools in the Chicago community. Every time you eat a cupcake or sip a latte, you help our kids. So eat up.

Overpriced

by Jeff3883

The cupcake I had was a bit dry for my taste and it was nearly $4.00. Being a fan of the Ron and Fez show on XM radio, it was worth a visit.

Pros: Fun for kids

Cons: Too expensive

The Ron Bennington is the BEST!!

by MellyJo

I live in Cleveland, OH. My father went to Chicago on business and I made him bring me back some cupcakes. They were the best cupcakes I've ever had, especially the Ron Bennington. I am hoping to get back to Chicago soon to have some more.

Try the Ron Bennington

by happytypinggirl

Love Mollys, everything is hand made, and decorated and filled one at a time, by hand. The recipes and flavors are really unique and every filled cupcake tastes like a dessert in a 5 star restaurant (for only $4!). Try the Ron Bennington unless you hate Chocolate or Peanut Butter. I also love the plain cupcakes and the minis.

I think my favorite thing about mollys though is they're always creating and looking for new ways to offer things that blow away the competition and they usually succeed.

Stop in often, you never know when they'll be creating Italian sodas made the old fashioned way, or a new kind of ice cream, or scones, or a new blend of hot chocolate, or cinnebunnies!

Pros: everythings fresh, amazing recipes

Cons: fattening!

OMG!

by Mikei

This place is heaven on earth. I went there i few months ago and I can't stop going back. Every time I go in there the staff is SOOO friendly and helpful; even when the line is out the door.
The flavors change seasonally but like always I am infatuated with the Ron Bennington. Next in line is the ?clair cupcake.
There are games to play and SWINGS at the counter. That's where I like to sit with my Ron Bennington and the very best cappuccino ever.

Pros: Best staff ever

Cons: too delicious! I am going to gain 10lbs

I am obsessed with Molly's Cupcakes!!

by overthemoon

This place is the BEST! We love going here every time we're in Chicago. I'm from New York, and can tell you honestly that no place in NYC stands close to Molly's. It's perfect: you can pick your own frosting (and cake) to create your idea of perfect. The red velvet (my fave) is super moist and yummy. I love the atmosphere, it's fun and happy and always bustling with friendly staff and customers. We love the games, too! Can't wait to go back!

Pros: The BEST red velvet cupcake I have ever had! By Far!

Cons: n/a

Feel like a kid again!

by chidiner99

Molly's cupcakes are absolutely delicious, but to really enjoy them do not take them to go. We had so much fun sitting on swings at the bar, and there are cute comfy tables and booths as well. I felt like a kid again and my sweet tooth was very, very pleased. I am ordering several dozen for my party this weekend! My favorite- the red velvet, but my companions went the chocolate peanut butter cup and carrot cake route.

Pros: Swings?!

Cons: They're absolutely addictive

Amazing.

by Ginabina

Molly's is amazing. The cookie monster cupcake? People have to hold me back. And the staff is always having a good time--they're polite and friendly, and the music is great! To all the chicagoans who think the best food is downtown, think again! This shop in Lincoln Park has it all.

Pros: the most delicious cupcakes i've ever tasted

Cons: i'm slowly but surely gaining weight.

Creamy and Moist is RIGHT!

by KarinTOB

My hubby bought a sampling of six different cupcakes for my birthday - they were ALL delicious, moist and creamy. The buttercream was fabulous, and I'm not usually a fan. The favorite I think was the Boston Cream Pie cupcake....it practically melted in my mouth! I will definitely be going there again!

Yummy cupcakes, great atmosphere and board games to boot!

by DawnCandace

I love Molly's. I have been there twice and am going there again this afternoon. Their cupcakes are delicious, especially the filled cupcakes. Try the Chocolate Decadence, Strawberry and Lemon varieties. They also have mini-pies and cheesecakes. Molly's serves coffee and ice cream as well. The store is very cute and friendly filled with childhood keepsakes like metal lunchboxes, swing seats at the icecream bar, Rock'em Sock'em Robots, Jenga, Scrabble and Connect Four games. Even the bathrooms are cute with entrances made to look like elementary school classroom doors.

Wonderful place!

Cute, fun, and delicious!

by byebyemissamericanpie

Just opened recently and it's a great place to drop in for a sweet treat or two. Decor is whimsical, free parlor games (e.g. connect four, scrabble) to entertain you or the kids, and that's not even the best part! I love that you can build your own (choose cupcake flavor, frosting/buttercream, toppings). The vanilla cupcake I had was moist and flavorful. They also had a vegan cupcake, mini cupcakes, cookies, Intelligentsia coffee, muffins, homemade ice cream, pretty much anything to satisfy that sweet tooth. And try the raspberry hot chocolate - it's delish, and presented so nicely!
