"They lack the most basic element of humanity. These are fundamentally flawed people who are rotten to the core."

These are the words that I use to describe Hinton Heights manangement and staff!

My family and I have been out of this complex for two years now and I still have nighmares about the time we spent living there. I can honestly say that making the decision to live there was and will be the worst decision I have ever made!

When we moved to Hinton Heights we had no idea that there were reviews available on line, had I known I would have researched more. so so many people over the years have had the same complaints over and over, and due to my experience they are true, the negative ones anyway.

I won't go into the details of our nightmare, just BEWARE that the current property manager and staff are ruthless to the very core, they care nothing about their tenants, they will charge you for late charges that are non-existent, they lie, and just overall make the tenants lives a living HELL!

Check them out carefully before you sign a lease, and read the fine print very carefully.

And be prepared to pay more for living in Hinton Heights than you would ever pay renting a home, utilities alone are double what I am paying now in a private residence,

First of all a word of advice, when you pay your rent get a receipt, the property manager will claim that your cashed check is your receipt,do NOT believe this, insist on a receipt, it will come back and haunt you over and over if you do not have the proper documentation, and even with it, expect to have to fight to have bogus late fees removed from your account. They will twist and turn every situation to make themselves look majestic, and the tenant look like an idiot, read the complaint against them with the BBB, I believe the tenant 100%, as I have seen the property manager up close and personal attack tenants when they have complained. Beware that the tenant is responsible for ALL utilities, my last utility bill was over $110.00 and that did not include electric which was another $50.00. Do not expect to get out of your garage when it snows without having to shovel your way out The plowing and snow removal is a joke. They plow down the middle of the parking lot and put all excess snow in front of the garage doors, so in order to get out or in, shoveling is required, that is unless your the property managers mother, her sidewalk and parking area are always shoveled and salted. They claim it is a pet friendly complex, if you love your animals do not sign here! I have talked to numerous tenants that have been told to get rid of their animals or be evicted. She, however, parades around the complex with her dog and even brings it to work with her, I have witnessed the dog in her office during business hours on many occasions! The current property manager also is allowed to bring her young children to work with her during school breaks. How can anyone be providing adequate care to her children when she is supposedly running a complex, and caring for her dog? Noise level, not bad if you do not mind hearing every move your upstairs neighbor makes. Theft is a major part of living in this complex. I have had items stolen out of the garage (you share it with 3 other tenants and of course everyone that works there has a master key). Patio furniture was vandalized to the point that I had to remove it. Privacy, there is NONE! My next door neighbor decided to not use the community sidewalks and use my patio as a walking path to the garbage dumpster, if that was not bad enough he would stop and look in the windows and wave to us while we were sitting in the living room. We have had children press their faces up against the living room window and look in on more occasions then I could count, we had to revert to keeping the blinds closed at all times just to have an ounce of privacy. Do not expect to get things fixed on a timely basis. In the two years that I have lived in Hinton Heights ALL appliances have broken down! The refrigerator was not replaced until I lost hundreds of dollars of food in the refrigerator and freezer. I went 10 days without a stove or oven, because they had to order a part to fix it. The dishwasher sparked and smelled of burning rubber, and it took 7 days to get a new one. And the dryer, it was looked at and supposedly repaired a number of times, but to this day it still takes 3 cycles to dry a small load of clothes, I have had 4 leaks from the apartment above me, according to the internet if dry wall is saturated it must be replaced, not once was the drywall replaced, it was painted over, which opened up that area to mold. The pool is closed more than it is open, and when it is open, there are so many unsupervised children, that swimming is out of the question! I could go on and on and on, about how horrible it is to live in this complex, and I have just scratched the surface! I will NOT be renewing my lease, and have talked to several other tenants who have the same complaints that I have. Do NOT believe the positive reviews on their different web sites, I am positive that they are written by the current property manager and her employees, they are way to over the top nice to be accurate!

what a crap hole!! I've lived in Hinton Heights for 3 years and have just given my 60 day notice on monday the 2nd, only to be told it wasnt excepted because I can only give notice on the last day or first day of the month. I would think that the first business day of the month would work just fine... Either way I cant wait to be out of here. Bridget is the spawn of satin and has NO people skills. What were the "higher ups" thinking when they hired her. If they were looking for a cold hearted, unprofessional bull dog they made a good choice. The only problem with that is, if you want to find good people to rent your townhomes and stay, you cant have a person like her working for you. A year ago the unit above me had a water leak and it caused the wall to mold in my bathroom. I told maintenance and aranged for them to be here. It took them 3 weeks to start fixing the problem. 6 weeks to get things to the point that they could repaint the wall, Now a year later the wall is still waiting to be painted and i've set up 3 work orders to try to make that happen. The first winter I lived here the roof leaked because of ice dams. They came and cleared the snow from the roof but never repainted where the water damage happened inside. When I first moved in my car was broke in to while it was in the garage I have to share with 3 other renters. Bridgets children are constantly harassing my son and making racial comments toward a friend of his who is black. I've been told that if my dog is seen off the leash I will be kicked out or have to get rid of my dog, daily I see dogs off leash craping everywhere and not being cleaned up after. I'm guessing perhaps these people werent told the same as i was. I've had to call the cops on the person living above me because of noise and her dog barking nonstop at 3am. I'm so happy to be leaving this place and strongly urge anybody whos looking for a place to rent to stay as far away from this place as you can.

I wouldn't give it any stars if I had a choice.
I lived here for a year and a half. I have NEVER dealt with such unorganized, lying people as this Bridget person who runs the office. I don't even know where to begin...I guess first I am very suspicious of any good reviews..pretty sure they wrote them in the office, while they should have been keeping paperwork up to date. The owners of the property would be well served to get rid of the entire office staff and replace them with people who actually know how to run a place of business professionally. They have to be related to someone to have kept their jobs.
Our apartment was entered by someone with a key and they used my child's xbox..there is a record on it of what has been done..the place was locked and we were out of town. There were police with dogs searching outside the door on more than one occasion when my teenagers were home alone...it scared them. My daughter was harassed by the 'men' who live there when she walked to get the mail. Someone broke the screen to a bedroom window trying to break in. The neighbors we shared the garage with came out to yell if you left the door open longer than they deemed necessary. (maybe I was waiting for someone to come out to get in the car?!) The plowing is bad, the maintenance is bad - they 'fixed' a sink handle multiple times when I asked them to please just replace it. The' 'fixed' the shelves in a kitchen cabinet multiple times until I just stopped using it because I got tired of asking. The electrical outlets are worn and plugs just fall out of the wall...they didn't see the problem with that. The pool was closed half the time, the playground full of teenagers who were up to no good. We witnessed multiple drug deals, the kids in the complex can point out the dealers' apartments, if you are into that, I guess it's the perfect place to be. My kids lost two bikes to theft, and knew of many friends whose bikes were stolen. A flower planter was taken from our patio. The neighbor's unattended little kids would wander over regularly and look right in our windows. I could go on and on....but the major issues are with fabricated late fees and late rent that wasn't late..then you think there has been a resolution and voila! a note left .on your door...for something that isn't correct. It stressed my kids, it stressed me... I hated opening my door! I was late with rent once but we had a verbal agreement (don't trust them!!!!!) that bridget couldn't seem to remember, the nasty phone calls and childish notes were so unprofessional. Now they are saying that I owe money months after I have left and have damaged my credit. I have to pay an attorney to get rid of these crazy people.
Bottom line, there are other places, if you value your sanity, your credit, your safety, find something else. We found a house to rent and for $100 more a month, it is amazing...the peace.
