I've lived here over a year and actually love the physical apartment and the neighborhood, but if you need service you can forget about it. They are just awful. The afterhours service number has been completely useless as the place needs

The apartment units, amenities and grounds are very lovely (except for the so called movie rental collection). That's about it. After the new management took over this place is terrible. I think they may be taking assistance programs now

Thank you cbrook11. I am finally happy someone wrote about this place that speaks the truth. I live here and only been here for a little while. A/C went out during the hottest (record breaking) summers. This happen weeks after I moved in. I am very uncomfortable with the place. My daughter lives by me and I asked if I can move in with her because the complex is horrible. The individuals at the front office have the worst attitude. I've never experienced such horrible attitudes. I've lived in apartments off an on for 20 years because I travel a lot and they are very good about getting you signed up, not good about keeping you. I overheard one of the head managers talk horrible in front of me about a tenet. I'm not happy here and i have been told in the past that i'm very easy to get along with. Lots of bugs and cheaply made. My cabinet literally fell apart when i put a bowl on it.

Everything at first was real simple. I moved in where it was BRAND new.

Pros: The maintence guy is REALLY cool, fenced area for dogs to go free, front office tried to get activies together, gym is good if you only go once a week, curb side service for trash

Cons (pay attention):
-6 months brand new, AC broke. I was sleeping in 89 degree weather until days they fixed it. Had to call it in again (3 times) and took them longer to fix it because only one maintence guy. I knew he was busy because was always sweating and working his tail off.

-neighbor upstairs vandalized the building I lived in. Put matches and lighter fluid on my back porch and fire extinguisher on my front door. Did other things to other people's apt. Called cops twice. Asked front office if I can move to another location in the apartment for safety, they said no. From then on, I slept next to a loaded shotgun because I saw someone putting lighter fluid on my back porch and no assistance from the front office.

-Informed front office I will not being renewing lease because I bought a house. They said I had nothing left to do and everything was taken care of. A week before my lease was due, I got a call stating since I didn't have a formal notice of termination of the lease (which was in the contract but in super small letters), I will have to pay 60 days at the market value (meaning an extra 2k). I've never lived in an apartment, I asked them is there ANYTHING I need to do, Business Office Manager said "no. Everything is good to go". Make sure when you do anything with these people, get everything in writing. That was my fault to rely on the word from the business office manager and expect that they didn't want more.

-Got a notice of rattlesnakes being in the area

- Got a notice that my cooler can't be on the back porch (I just got back from a fishing trip that day).

-Got bite my spiders and had to go to ER twice

-Dog got bite by spiders, had to take her to the ER

I kept to myself. I didn't want to bother anyone and no one bothered me. But I know that apartments are a place a business. I tried not to make a big deal out of the AC but to be put in a position where I was scared to even go to my apartment because of the neighbors...don't they do back ground checks? I constantly smelt weed.

Overall, the apartments are in good condition, the front office, half of the staff was really nice willing to work with me. The two main people didn't help me at all in fact made it worse.

I ended up having to get my attorney involved. I wanted to move on so I paid my fee, and went on my way. Please get everything in writing and these people are not your friends, they are there to collect your rent.

I learned my lesson. Keep your lease contract nailed to your fridge. Would have saved me a lot of money if I did that.

My fiance and I have lived at City North for 2 years and just resigned our lease for another 18 months. The property is kept extremely nice. I live in the back area of the property and my sprinklers always work and my grass is green around my apartment building.
The pool is absolutely beautiful and we use it and the grills constantly in the summer. Not once have we been "policed" our removed from the pool. The pool rules are clearly stated, easy to follow and are no different from any other apartment complex. Children must have a parent with them (for obvious reasons). If you are a visitor to the property you must be with a resident, if not you are asked to leave and you are only allowed to have 2 guests at the pool. These rules make a lot of sense to me. If I am going to the pool I want to be able to use it and the chairs without it being crowded with people that don't live here. I am not 100% on this but I believe if you want to want to bring your entire family to bbq all you have to do is simply ask the management (who by the way are extremely friendly and personable).
As for the grills not working, as I said before we use them all the time (neither my fiance or myself have ever received second degree burns) , but they also have charcoal grills located on the property for those of you who are afraid of the gas ones!
On to the achohol issue, you are not allowed to have glass bottles and this is strictly enforced. If you are seen with other types of alcohol you are asked to remove it from the pool. The management is very diligent about keeping up with this and do not hide or run away from the issue! We also have an on site courtesy officer, that I observed just last night, monitoring the pool after hours. Drunk idiots do not run the pool, ever!
Dogs are not allowed in the pool due to health issues and I have NEVER seen any dogs swimming in the pool. Both adults and children use the pool furniture and when the kids stand on it and ruin it, in my opinion this is simply a result of bad parenting! This is why the children aren't allowed at the pool without their parents or a resident!!
The security gate works on a regular basis I observed it to be broken maybe 10 times in the past 2 years we have lived here! And I am not sure about anyone else but my apartment has never been broken into. And really lets be honest with each other if someone really wants to break into your apartment the security gate isn't going to stop them. I absolutely refuse to live in bad areas and I have not observed this to be a major crime area. Also along with the on-site courtesy officer I have noticed several other police vehicles parked around the property, which leads me to believe they live here as well. There is also a police station located right down the street! I feel very safe and secure on the property!
The management on the property is, as I stated before, extremely friendly and personable! I know several of them by name and they remember and recognize my fiance and I as well as everyone else living on the property. They know who lives here and who does not! They always ask me how work is going and how the wedding plans are coming and have recommended vendors that I might be able to use. Anytime I have had a problem or questions they have made time to talk to me. The maintenance guys are great and timely!
I have lived in many other apartment complexes and this is by far the best one and my absolute favorite. We hope to stay here for several more years until we purchase a house. I would recommend this property to anyone!!! If you don't move in here, its your loss!!

This property is nice I have good neighbors my a/c just went out yesterday and maintenance was there in minutes surprised me for sure didn't think they would be out so fast. The maintenance guys are polite and friendly they keep the pool looking nice grills look good to me I'm no maintenance professional but I have been able to cook my burgers if something does happen I am sure the people that live around here tend to have something to do with it. Although I do wish they would ban alcohol from the pool. Other than that cant complain wife and kids are happy about where they live so I am happy.

As for the grills every time I use them they work heck I even saw the supervisor cleaning those suckers good after 5pm ...how many supervisors are going to stay after hours so there property looks nice. One thing is for sure the 2 people who posted before me are probably angry that they didn't get treated like royalty ....there are rules you know. Over all a great place to live and I plan on staying longer

Don't even consider moving into these apartments. The only thing the management is interested in, is leasing apartments. Any problem or concerns the residents have are ignored and never taken seriously! For example the gas grills at the pool have been broken for over 5 months and when brought to management attention the resident was told they would be fixed next year and that is OVER 7 months away. So if the residents want to grill food they have to go to a park or risk getting second degree burns when using the broken apartment grills. You are not allowed to use your own grill anywhere on the apartment complex grounds. The pool rules state no alcohol or glass bottles in the pool area because of the family enviroment. But when the management observes people getting drunk, drinking alcohol in bottles at the pool area, with lots of kids swimming in the pool, they run away and dont deal with the situation. So the resident has to gather their kids up and leave the pool area and let the drunk idiots have the pool to themselves. This happens on a regular basis, which ends up in broken glass in the pool around the pool, and then the pool gets closed for all residents for days till they get their lazy asses up to clean things up. Everyday at the pool you can observe kids dragging the pool chairs into the pool and using them to stand on and jump off of. This leaves all the pool furniture broken, but if brought to management attention, they won't make the kids parents do anything to stop this from happening. When asked to replace this fruniture you get the usual response, "maybe next year". There are also no animals allowed at the pool either, but on several occasions there are dogs swimming in the pool and again the management will do nothing but tell the complaining resident that it is against the rules and then they hide in their office till the complaining resident leaves. On the new resident tour they point at the grills, they walk you around the pool and paint this picture of how nice things are just to lease an apartment and get your money, after that you are on your own, good luck! Another selling point is the security gates out front of the property. These gates are broken at least three days every week, and the exit gate is on purpose left open several hours every day. This leads to apartment break-ins on a regular basis, garage breakins and car loads of non residents flooding to the pool with cases of bottled beer to have their parties in front of the paying residents. The tour also takes you on areas of the complex where they use the sprinkler system, but not to the areas where they are not watering and just letting the grass die and turn to dirt! You are also told there is a resident Police Officer in the complex, but when you approach him with a problem he tells you the truth. That they don't give him a rent break and that he just happens to live in the complex, and then he tells you to call the Police yourself. A lot of good that does. When the Police do show up they inform you that the apartment complex is private property and there is nothing they can do to inforce the apartment management rules. The only thing the residents can count on is a $50 increase in rent every year and a drastic decrease in the complex's beauty and a drastic decrease in the features that bring the paying residents comfort and peace of mind for them and their kids! I would not even consider looking at this complex, much less consider moving here. There are way nicer Apt complexes in the area like Las Brisas Apts, and Tera Vista Apts. IF YOU READ THIS AND MOVE IN, YOU HAVE ONLY YOURSELF TO BLAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Move to Round Rock and was taken away with the pool at City North. Little did I know that they limited you to two guest at a time. I couldnt even bring my entire family over to the bbq area because they were policing everyone and asking which apt they lived in. they even told a 10 yr old little girl whos friend lived here but was in the bathroom that she couldnt stay inside the gate without her friend and made her get out of the pool. they also told us our unit was new and never lived in but the maintenance people corrected that. Dont like it here. Cant wait to move!!!!
