I wish I could give them no stars! They do not even deserve one!!!!

My family and I moved in a few days ago and it's been a complete hell! Spiders are all over the place, dog hair and dust was in the vents, in the kitchen and on the floor, spider webs are in the windows and under the cabinets! It does NOT look like the apt was cleaned at all before renting it out again! The doors are mismatched! On one side of the door, the door knob is a completely different style than the other side! The kitchen cabinets are lopsided. Some close completely and others have cracks. It's a complete mess under the cabinets. Some are spray painted white and others are the original wood. There's a crack beside the door to my yard which will allow even more bugs to come in!

I called the leasing office about the spiders and was told that its the tenant's responsibility (which is silly because why would it be the tenant's responsibility when they are just renting and this is your property!) and that the lease says so. I read the lease and it did not state that it's the tenant's responsibility! It does state that tenants had should call the leasing office to inform them of any pest or vermin (which is what I did!) and that the landlord will take care of any pest! Armed with this new info, I called the leasing office back and asked Jennifer where it states in the lease that its the tenant's responsibility. She grabs a lease and tells me that I should take it up with the property manager because she has done all she can do! Umm, what?!?! I ask her again to just tell me where it states in the lease that its the tenant's0 responsibility and she just repeats her previous statement! Sooo, it's not in the lease and she is just lying!! After going back and forward with her about where it is stated in the lease, she puts me on hold and has someone else tell me that I'm being transferred to the property manager's voicemail. Rude and unprofessional!!!

I wait an hour or so to calm down because I am really upset! I have two babies! I can't have spiders running around when my baby is always playing around! I call back and ask to speak to the property manager, Kelly. She tells me that it's not stated in the lease (so Jennifer did lie), they tell future tenants that it's their responsibility verbally (which Jennifer didn't do) and that she emailed her regional manager to see if they will pay for it or if I will have to! Why would you have to ask for permission when your lease says that it will be taken care of!!! I didn't bring the spiders with me soo why would I have to pay for it? I also tell her about the dog hair that's all over the place! She tells me that they sent someone to clean the vents (and the sweet lady did clean them). I inform her about the dog hair that's under the kitchen counters and the spider webs in the window! She tells me that it was not mentioned in our walkthrough, thus, it has to be our fault! Who looks under the counters to check for dog hair?!?!? We do NOT have a dog. Never had a dog so I don't know how we can get dog hair all over the place without ever owning a dog. As for the spider webs, she also states that we didn't mention that in the walkthrough, so that just happened with us being in the apt for less than a few days. The spider webs has dust in them! That only happens with time not a few days. I should have checked the windows for spider webs too, right? Who does that? I shouldn't have to check stuff like that when the apartment is supposed to be cleaned before it's rented out! Instead of showing any kind of sympathy or compassion, Kelly rudely tells me that she is not going to argue with me. I wasn't trying to argue, just wanted to tell her about the horrible conditions that we moved into. I decide to end the convo there because obviously she doesn't care.

Did I fail to mention that I found a false nail in the hallway closet upstairs? Just more evidence that they didn't clean the apartment at all!

Anddd my husband has already been bitten by a spider! I also informed them of this and they still didn't care!

Just stay away from these apartments! They are overpriced like everything else is around here! Not worth the price or headaches at all!

this has one star because it wont let me give less. my husband moved in when it was still army housing in 2002. united reality took over and didnt do a walkthrough but still charged a security deposit. there has been nothing but problems since such as; electical shorts, loose outlets, insufficent breaker box, rotted out ceiling due to an apt above that flooded one day, doors falling off of hinges and out of the wall, belongings that were stolen by maintenance, dishwasher falling out of counter due to rotted wood and many things on top all of that. when we did actually get a response to a work order we put in it was not taken care of in a timely manner and responded by with rudeness and lies by the staff in the front office. long story short, despite our constant patience and clockwork like rent payments (on time by the way) we were treated badly and were refused a lease renewal and an explanantion. this has put us in debt and in a tight spot knowing that we will get charged for the things that they never fixed. long story short, these people arent worthy to lick the mud off my boot.

One word to describe our experience there- HORRIBLE. Our apartment flooded twice, the management took our garbage bins when we left them out for a day, the heat was never above 54 degrees F in the winter, even with the heat cranked all the way up, and our power bill was $250. But I was willing to put that aside because we liked the apartment itself, and the ladies in the office were very nice. But when we moved out, we got a bill for $3,600 because we stained the already-old carpet and broke a couple blinds!!! There was a $300 cleaning fee, after I spent two days cleaning it, and a $250 garbage removal fee because we left a couple of bags of trash in the garage (we left a few days after trash day). They told us we didn't need to show them my husband's orders to get out of the lease, then charged us for two extra months when we didn't! Horrible place. I guess it would be okay if you never put a single mark on the place the entire time you stayed there and you somehow got your orders a month ahead of time. But other than that, BEWARE!
