Garlic and more garlic, but its really good. This is a simple restaurant, no table clothes, nothing fancy. The food, though, is excellent, and the service is good as well. The chopped salad is great. Walking distance from LMU, this is the nicest Italian restaurant around.
Tucked away in a strip mall, next to a 7-11, is this little gem of an Italian restaurant. Seating is family style, with one long table running down the middle of the dining area and a few other tables surrounding it. Food is served quickly, but the wait to get in can be lengthy. You're also allowed to bring your own wine without a corkage fee. Food is heavy on the garlic!
Ever since Alejo's has changed cooks and staff ... the whole experienced has changed. It has gone downhill. We ordered food tonight and the spaghetti was overcooked and the spinach fettucinni alfredo.
My suggestion to the owner, hire back your old wait staff and cook and pay them the wage they deserve... considering the prices went up.
