JR's Steakhouse in Colleyville is one of DFW's finest dining establishments. Known for their exceptional steaks, seafood and specialty dishes, JR's Steakhouse in Colleyville is able to accommodate corporate and special events, a romantic evening of fine dining, and features a world class wine list. Champagne Brie Soup, NY Porterhouse, Rack of Lamb, Lobster Tails, to mention a few, all prepared meticulously by Executive Chef Todd Phillips. Martini list fit for a King!
From the service, to the food, to the atmosphere, everything at J.R.?s was just amazing. Our steaks were perfectly cooked, and everyone from the hostess to our server to the busboy, and even the manager who came by to say hello were so friendly and eager to enhance our experience in any way they could. We dined on a Thursday, so we also had the privilege of moving into the lounge after our meal to enjoy some of their signature after-dinner drinks (which were delicious!) and the live jazz band that was playing. So if you?re just looking for an all-around great fine-dining experience where you can just relax and be confident in the quality of the food and service, then this would be my top recommendation. We are picky frequent diners and I can honestly say that we have never had such an incredible first experience at a new restaurant as we did at J.R.?s. We will definitely be returning.
Pros: Amazing food and equally good service
Cons: No complaints...

I've eaten at JR's several times and have always had a great time. The lounge is relaxing and entertaining with the live jazz band. I was amazed by the tenderness of my steak, and my girlfriend?s fish feature was delicious. As for the service? TOP NOTCH! You won?t find better calamari anywhere else! We?ll definitely be back!
Pros: great music!
Cons: be back soon

My wife and I visited JR's on a high volume night and the service was still excellent. We had their phenomenal calamari as an appetizer and the Date special with their macaroni side dish. Ben was very attentive and knowledgeable. He recommended 'the laughing magpie' syrah viognier blend and it was great. We will be back
Pros: service
Cons: dimly lit

My wife and I recently visited JR's steakhouse and had a wonderful experience. Our server, Rendal, was fantastic he made all the right reccomendations. You should ask for him when you make your reservation. We had the New York strip and the pepper filet. Best steak I have ever had! Both managers were very helpful in selecting our wine. We will definetly be going back
Pros: Great Service

The food is hard to beat here. They have some of the best steaks in town. The service is great also. It's casual but professional, not all stuck up and stuffy. They have the best dessert in the world. It's better than your mom's homemade apple pie. This soon to be world renowned dessert is their spice pumkin waffle, um um good.
Pros: food
Cons: location

I was at JR's last week for the first time and I could not have been more impressed!! We were greeted at the front door with a smile and it continued into the bar. The bartender Adam was funny and shook our hands and introduced himself immediately. The filet is the way to go it is so tender and juicy it literally melts in your mouth. The service was great, Will was our server and he anticipated all our needs. We will be returning back very soon.
Pros: Service, wine list, mouthwatering steaks

This evening my wife and I dined at JR's Steakhouse. The subdued lighting and soft music set a nice tone for our experience. I had the steak and lobster feature, one word, sumptious! My wife had the Ahi Tuna, delish. The wine list left nothing to be desired, but above all they hit all the little things, hot coffee hot, and a freshly folded napkin on the table upon return from the restroom. From a smile at the front door to the world class service from Daniel at the table, we were impressed. We will be back.
Pros: Wine list, Lobster, mouthwatering steak
Cons: cigars in the bar

Angela is one of the managers and she is the best! The food is incredible.....got to try the cheese macaroni - bacon and a touch a blue cheese! wow! The steaks melt in your mouth...cooked to perfection! The martini menu is great...not on the menu but ask for Angela's Top Secret Martini...it is fabulous! We have been to this restaurant four times and received excellent service everytime. We do not eat out often but everytime we have since we found this place, we go no where else!
Pros: Best steaks in town!

My Boyfriend and I just recently came into J.R.'s for after dinner drinks and dessert on a Monday Night. The lounge area is elegant and relaxing. Our server was very attentive to all of our needs. We very much enjoyed the Spiced Pumpkin Waffle and a J.R.'s coffee. Everything was so delicious... We'll definitely be back!!!

My wife and I love going to J.R.'s for our monthly date night. The bartender makes a killer martini for my wife called the Sexy Devil. I always get the Pepper Filet and my wife loves the Salmon. For dessert we always get the Spiced Pumpkin Waffle it's excellent.

I recently dined at J.R's Steakhouse. We sat at the bar, and Josh took care of us. Josh was helpful and knowledgable. Angela, one of the managers, was very knowledable with the menu and the extensive wine list. She helped us pick out a wine that paired well with our dinner. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding. We will definately be back.

I came into J.R.'s Steakhouse last Friday night with my mother for her birthday and I was so impressed with this restaurant. The service was second to none from their attention to detail and all around cleanliness of the table. Our drinks were always full and we never had to ask. Our server's name was Mike and he took incredible care of us. The food was all great. My mother had their seabass dish and I ate the New York Strip steak which we both enjoyed thoroughly. We will recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you to everyone at J.R.'s for making this occasion special.
Pros: best service and food anywhere
Cons: none

Likes it - Recently my wife and I had a chance to dine at J.R.s Steak House. Our experience was truly memorable. From the food and ambiance, to the service everything was incredible! Our evening started with smiles and a warm greetiing at the Hostess stand. We were promptly sat and greeted by our server, Adam. He seemed not only happy to see us, but also very knowlegable. Adam made several recomendations thru out the evening, the first of which being the bacon wrapped bbq lobster. I have to say it was truly amazing! My wife and I then had the Date Special, which included two steaks, mashed potatoes, and we chose asparagus as our side item. The meal was not only tasty but filling and affordable. our meal was made even better when we had dessert in the lounge. We were treated to great live music and great bartenders! Overall our evening was perfect and we will definatly go back to J.R.s!
Pros: BBQ Lobster, Steaks, Fun!

My friend and I decided to go to J.R.'s for my birthday. We sat in the bar felt very welcome. The bartender Kevin was very friendly and attentive. I had the pepper-crusted filet and it was cooked to perfection. The bbq bacon wrapped lobster over grits started us off nicely and the in house sommelier paired a wonderful glass of cabernet to enjoy with my steak. Overall we had a great and personable experience. We will be back!

I visited this place recent;ly for the first time and I was surprised to find an elegant but relaxed atmosphere. My group started out with the best calamari that I have ever eaten. Then I had a great salad with walnuts, pears, and a lemon dressing. For my entree I had a bone-in ribeye which was the best steak I have ever had. the service was great and the food was excellent. I am sure to be returning to this place soon.

I visited J.R.'s Steakhouse last week with a couple of friends & my fiance. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful! We had a wonderful time having cocktails in the (very large) lounge/bar area which featured a live jazz band. After cocktails, we had dinner in the main dining room and everyone in our party was so impressed by the EXCEPTIONAL service from the waitstaff as well as by the food...the food was incredible! We started with the Seafood Sampler (Shrimp Cocktail, Crab Cakes, Bacon Wrapped BBQ Lobster & the best Fried Calamari I have ever had). My entree, the Pepper Crusted Filet was to die for.
I was also very impressed with how both of the managers and the owner, Johnny Ragland, spent much of their time visiting the tables to make sure their guests were having a great time.
I would reccomend J.R.'s Steakhouse to anyone! We had a truly wonderful experience.
Pros: The food, service & wine list are truly exceptional.
Cons: I can't go often enough!

I recently visited JR's and couldn't have been happier. We sat in the lounge, which has a nice, spacious bar and a classy yet relaxed setting. The food was even more impressive than the ambience. Highlights included a bone-in ribeye, the lobster tail and an exceptional wine list. Needless to say, we will be back as often as possible.
Pros: knowledegable, friendly staff

Went to J.R.'s Thursday night with some co-workers and had a great time. I had bacon wrapped lobster for an appetizer and Seabass for dinner. The food was amazing, and the service top notch! Nobody in my group left unsatisfied. Great place to impress clients.
Pros: service, food, atmosphere

My wife and I went to JR?s Steakhouse last Thursday with some friends of ours. We received flawless service which seems to be getting harder and harder to come by these days. We live in Ft. Worth and often go to Pappas and Del Frisco?s, but at our friends request made the trip to Colleyville. The pepper filet way amazing, and the calamari appetizer cannot be beat. We will definitely be making the trip to JR?s again real soon.
Pros: Fine dining at its finest.
