Gianni and Gaitano Cinelli, two of the indefatigable Cinelli brothers own numerous Italian restaurants in the area, have opened 8311 North Italian Chophouse. The entire restaurant is a single Italian chophouse, a new lounge and live music on Thursday to Saturday nights. The wine cellar is stocked with more than 100 wines, and promises more to come. Chef Robert Sumber, has years experience in similar restaurants on Long Island, to create a classic chophouse menu centered on hand-cut certified Angus steaks. They have a varied assortments of entrees & pasta dishes, with options ranging from classic lasagna to lobster ravioli, veal parmigiana to pork chop with banana rum glaze. Sunday brunch buffet includes made-to-order omelets and oysters on the half shell. The Kidsville area offers diversions for children, including a magician on weekends. Kids can also assemble their own pizzas.

I thouhgt I would try a new restaurant, what a great find the establishment supposedly changed over from a casual italian eatery, to an upscale restaurant with moderate prices. Tried the shrimp wrapped bacon over polenta, wow was it delicous. Wife got crabcake appetizer, hands down by far the best crabcake in Raleigh, not making it up. Wife got Tortelacci a homemade ravioli stuffed with veal/beaf ravioli in a mushroom sauce with truffle, amazing, I of course got a 24 0z bone in cowboy that just melted in my mouth one of the best steaks i ever had. I am thrilled to death a place of this caliber has finally arrived to Raleigh . Than k you. They have great looking bar with couches need to come back and experience the lounge
Pros: bar, private rooms, menu, great place for dates
