I am a parent of a child at Higher Learning Academy. I absolutely love this preschool. The way the teachers interact with the children is great. My daughter looks forward to going. i love the fact that they cook healthy meals for the children. Also the kids are just learning so much. My daughter always comes home happy and singing new songs, she also knows her months and days of the week, and shes only 2 years old this place is great and i highly recommend it.

The Higher Learning Academy is the BEST thing that has ever happened to us. I am a divorced single mother of a beautiful 2 year old. I work full time and attend school online also full time in a graduate program. It literally took me over a year to find the BEST, most suitable place for my daughter. I reviewed files, screened, researched, interviewed, checked references and asked neighbors about over 60 different establishments.

I was very lucky to have mom to help but I found that as baby grew into a toddler, she was bored and ready to be socialized, be in an environment of focused development and curriculum by certified and credentialed teachers and staff members who strive to provide the BEST care possible in the industry.

As a meticulous person and very overprotective parent (Capricorn), I can honestly tell you, since my daughter has been attending school at the Higher Learning Academy, the experience has been extremely pleasant. They even put together a health and safety fair for the parents and kids, the community and the families in the neighborhood as they are focused on education and awareness and they go above and beyond in the quality of care they provide to their future and junior leaders.

Since beginning the program, my little girl speaks clearly, she is polite and has learned manners (says "please" and "thank you") and has learned to brush her teeth, use the potty and wash her hands by herself. She waits her turn at the playground and she can name over 15 different animals and recite what sounds they make. She can identify colors and shapes. She dances and sings, overall she is a very happy child. For a child of age 2, milestones are far exceeded. (Check for yourself at babycenter.com)

The development of my child at this critical stage in her growth, is my number one priority. I trust nobody else in the world in the complete care and education of my child. The staff has become her mother while I am away. I don't worry about her while I am at work as I am confident she is in the BEST care available and in a safe, clean, loving environment where the mission is based on providing the BEST care and BEST opportunities for learning for the children.

I was also surprised that although they have a structured cirruculim and provide the BEST care available, HLA offers very competitive and reasonable rates, less than you would expect compared to many other care providers.

The staff of Higher Learning Academy display admirable values and goals centered around the success of the children and these goals are based on traditional Christian values, morals and standards. They treat each child with respect and dignity and they have wonderful working relationships with each of the parents.

You'll know for certain they are doing everything right when you go to drop off your little one and they are so excited to go...and then when you go to pick them up, they are in no hurry to leave. They want to share with you what they have learned, they will say good morning to the teacher and the other kids in the morning and goodbye when they leave...you will be impressed, and happy. The staff teach the kids about cooking, cleaning, reading, counting, ABC's and how to treat others.

They instill values in these little ones', values that seem far and forgotten to many of us adults as we scramble and rush in our busy routines. It's so refreshing to pick her up from school and hold her after a long day and have her wrap her arms around me and say "I wuv you mommy." When I ask her what she learned that day, she always has a positive response, like the loud roar of a lion "Rahhhhhh" or describing a shape or a number, a story she learned during circle time or when a teacher sat with her to provide independent attention (they do both), a song, a dance...she brings home such beautiful and thoughtful artwork from the time she spent doing activities at school...on the 4th of July, she brought home an American flag she made with construction paper. She had glued every strip of stripe and each star in place and it was perfect. I have it proudly on display. I am not sure you can ever find this much love in any other structured learning environment.

The staff at HLA love the children as if they were their own. They treat others they way they would expect to be treated. I can't see my daughter simply as the child of a single parent any longer...she has grown and has multiple mothers...they all work at Higher Learning Academy. They are truly a blessing, they truly care and we are very blessed to have them.

As a young single parent it is very hard and frustrating finding the right people to watch your child. At higher learning , they make the kids an parents feel comfortable and they take there time to get to know each child indivisually. I love the way the techers interact with the children including mines and im thankful to have found an amazing Daycare. Keep up the good work.

As a parent with a child at Higher Learning Academy Preschool I would like to say that my child is extremely happy and progressing very well. He is reciting his alphabets and attempting to count from 1-15. He surprises me with something new every day and some days he doesn't want to leave. I take the time to speak to the staff and get to know them because at the end of the day they are "raising" our kids as they spend more time with them during the day. Therefore, it is very important that the childcare provider and parent share the same core values. I find the site to be very clean, tidy and organized. I was impressed when I first visited the site. I have never seen a bug and my child has NEVER came home to say he killed or played with a roach. The staff at this preschool take PRIDE in all that they do and teach the children about hygiene. I trust that they will continue to provide a clean and safe environment for my child and teach my son to become a LEADER. If you are looking for a preschool for your child visit the site and see for yourself. Brown Family
