Money saving ideas from home energy audit

We recently had Kirk from Austin ProEnergy come run an energy profile on our home, which was build in 1999 & was supposed to be energy efficient for that time. However Kirk was able to use newer technology (infrared gun, air-flow test) to show us several areas where we could improve. Kirk was very professional throughout the process & spent plenty of time with us to explain the results.
We subsequently installed radiant barrier foil, more blown-in insulation, duct seal, & some weatherstripping. I can tell a difference already. Our home office, which houses a PC, monitor, & 2 printers was always warm. I always attributed that to the equipment; however, after making the adjustments above our home office is noticeably cooler. The attic seems cooler too, but we haven't had a real scorcher yet.

great way to reduce energy bills

Kirk has been very detail oriented and performed a thorough audit of the whole house to see where the energy is being wasted. He also provided a report after the audit has been done with simple fixes that could save money.
I would recommend Kirk to homeowners who are looking for ways to save some money on their energy bills!!

Great way find where you are wasting money

We had Kirk from ProEnergy come in to do an energy audit at our home in Round Rock in the middle of summer. We had been paying approx. $350 for our electric bill each of the summer months. Always thought that is normal for the central texas area.
Kirk did the set up and started the audit, and within 30 mins found some problem areas which have easy fixes which saves on energy usage and money. He was extremely professional and explained with a detailed report on all the areas of potential savings.
Would highly recommend this to any homeowner who is paying over $300 for a standard size home.

State of the Art Home Energy Audit

We recently had Kirk with Pro Energy Consultants do a Home Energy Audit on our house and we were surprised by the results, not what we were expecting. Most of the places we were losing energy are easy to fix and will not cost a lot of money. Kirk was very professional, explained the whole process, and showed us during the walk thru the places where we had issues.
I highly recommend Kirk with Pro Energy if you are interested in having a home energy audit done on your home!!
