Caravelle Resort is Not a Place For Us

by Janet M. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 55

Was there at the beginning of Sept. and will not stay there again. Had to change from our first room which never should have been given to us. The bathroom was filthy and felt the whole room was dusty. Aside from not being clean, the size of the bathroom was a joke and pathetic. Changed to large quarters since they were not full and that needed to have it deodorized. The outdoor eatting facility is not well maintained. There was garbage around and flies all over the place where you were unable to actually eat there. Plenty of other places to chose from; would never go back to this one.

OK

by Laura T. | insider Insider | Rank: 17,793

We booked this Hotel through Hotels.com and the room was falling apart. The door to the other room would not shut, the ceiling was sloping do to water damage and as so the bathroom. It really upset me and Caravelle said they could not do anything because we booked through another company. We only got a $20 certificate but all I was asking for was another room which they would not give me.

newly renovated

by Chris V. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,084

I normally like to stay in Cherry Grove but if I stay in MB, this is the place to be. With the millions of dollars spent on renovations mahogany woods, flat screen tv's, great views! In the heart of MB. The staff is very accomodating!

I love this resort

by Brianne A. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,381

This group of hotels is wonderful. They have a few different buildings that range in price and size and location. The rooms directly on the beach are better for smaller families. The hotesl a block away are much bigger condos w/3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Theya re beautiful, clean and spacious. The pools are great - indoors, outdoors, lazy river, etc... Also little pool bars w/drinks, food, snacks. A perfect place to relax!

Very Enjoyable

by kathy s. | insider Insider | Rank: 29,099

Have stayed in both the St Clemens and the Sea Mark Towers. The St Clemens was great because it was directly on the beach, however the Sea mark which was 1 block away but the rooms were much larger and offered so much more for a larger family. Having these nice accommodations has help make some very happy memories for my family
