I've been to the Pitman restaurant four times. The first three visits were very good. The fourth was pretty bad. The service varies from very good to poor. We have had disappearing waitresses twice. The food has been very tasty and well cooked, but I have had stomach problems the last two visits. It may be that there is too much grease/butter in the food. The first visit I had blue cheese dressing then was told that they never served bc?!?! I hope the owners make some adjustments to the cooking and service.

My wife and I dine out several times a week. We frequent many of the restaurants in the Pitman area regularly. We have dined at least 6 times at Guillermo's within the last year. Each dining experience has been good. The atmophere is pleasant and clean. Each server was attentive and we rarely waited a prolonged time for anything. The food is very good based on the pricing. I imagine some of the negative comments passed were from people who did not have a handle on the correct expectations for a low priced Italian Restaurant. Or they had a axe to grind. This review is based on 6 visits to G on Broadway and matching those experiences with 100 dining experiences a year. I recommend Guillermo's as a Very Good dining experience.

Service was pleasent and subtle. Waitress was not in your face but was there when we needed her. Food was delicious and portions were large enough for my wife and I to both bring home leftovers. Liked it so much, we even booked a 20 person party before we left. Can't wait to go back. Don't forget BYOB.

I read a couple of reviews about Guillermo's that were negative. We have Never had a bad expierence there. It says on the menu soup & salad are included & the waiter/waitress tells you what the soup is & the salad dressing is, and the bread is Always crispy! Some psople are not happy unless they are complaining! We have had dinner for 2, dinner for six and even a special event dinner with about 20 people, and every time ist was wonderful. The price is always great for what you get!!

My family has been going to Guillermo's for a few years. We are never dissapointed. As a matter of fact we had a special event dinner there and everyone raved about the food & service. As for a couple of the reviews I read....when the waiter or waitress come to your table they tell you what the soup of the day is, and what the dressing is on the salad, at that time you can say your do not want it. Also it says on the menue that soup & salad are included with the meal. The garlic bread has Never been soggy. This is one of our Favorate places to go. The food & service are always great and the Price is always Right!

I'm not sure about this review site, after reading what Kelly S. wrote. I think some of these reviews are planted fakes. I eat at both of Guillermo's restaurants. I always like the meals. If you DON'T want a salad or soup, SAY so ... ?? How many times do you eat at a place and eat something you don't want ? (one reason other posts are suspiciously fake )

The other reason Kelly's post is suspiciously fake is because the owner does not have a business partner and the owner built the restaurant first hand. At BOTH places..

I suggest before you actually listen to anonymous reviews, try it yourself.

My husband and I wanted to try this restaurant and give it a shot but truthfully we both were very very disappointed. The theme is subtle and it is a relaxing atmosphere but the service could be much better especially since there wasn't really that many customers in there at the time.We were automatically started off with a soup and salad which is their choice and not yours and garlic bread. Now before we could even finish our soup the young man seated 2 tables behind us approached our table and introduced himself as a business partner of the restaurant/owner. He informed us that he built the whole restaurant and was wondering if we liked it. We thought it was odd but somewhat innocent enough at first but then he started asking us if we needed any work or renovations done on our home and it was at that point my husband told him we were trying to enjoy our meal and asked him to please leave. He did apologize and leave but immediately went to another table which was 2 tables diagonal from us and started it all over again with another couple who also seemed to be wanted left alone. That was awkward but we let it be at that. We continued our meal now laughing to ourselves how a fine eating establishment would let someone walk around asking for work...lol. So we started eating the garlic bread and was astonished how soggy it was and if you picked up the bread and squeezed it you can literally squirt butter/grease and have it drip onto your plate. I understand that everyone has different likings but this was outrageous and I wondered if the owner actually eats this food or if they turn a blind eye to how it is prepared.. As for our meals my husband tried the Crabcakes and did like the size of them but felt they were a little too overcooked and dried out. The sauce was zesty and helped out with the crabcake being to dry. I chose the steamed mussels over linguini with a red sauce and again I found them to be overcooked and rubbery and the sauce was very thin and watery not like the thick chunky sauce I hoped for. I mentioned to our server that the food seemed bland and that the mussels were overcooked and was told a few minutes later that the cook said they were done perfectly. We felt like we could have been treated better and could have eaten a much better meal but with the service we had and the younger guy looking for sidejobs I've realized the Guillermo's will never be a place we will visit again.

Received a gift certificate and were excited to try this restaurant. Frankly what a disappointment! Just as someone mentioned above, the waitress never mentioned that soup and salad came with the meal, she paid very little attention to us and our food was lousy. We started with a tomato, spinach bowtie soup that was sloppy and tasteless. We were served bread that was dripping with grease and looked like day old hamburger rolls. Our salads were at least on cold plates but large chunks of lettuce which could have been chopped smaller. But the entrees were awful. My husband got the Broiled Flounder with Red sauce which was more like red juice - tasteless, unseasoned and a side of ziti in a spicy sauce. I got the Chicken Harrington and could not eat the 7-8 scallops because they were not done - believe me when I tell you I've cooked scallops many times and these were not cooked. The chcken chunks underneath were bland and tasteless. The cream sauce was heavy with no garlic as advertised the asparagus was raw and hard. When I told the waitress that the scallops were not done she took them back to the kitchen and came back to tell me that the cook said they were done. I'm sorry but i don't think you should ever argue with the customer. I hope the cook ate the scallops. Thankfully the waitress deducted my entree from the bill. We won't bother eating there again.

Two great dinners at Guillermos over the past month - both excellent. The sunset menu is a tremendous value - generous portions and I think the entrees were like 11.99, pretty amazing! Love the BYOB aspect of it too. The menu, service and location are wonderful. We feel lucky to have a favorite spot so close to home.

This is 2 reviews in 1, first time was at the Pitman location and the second time in Washington Township this Sunday.

My wife and I eat out at least once a week. We decided to try Guillermo's on Broadway. We called and made what the hostess on phone said was a "call ahead seating." We showed up at 6:30, to a packed house. While standing there we found it was a "show-night." It was extremely busy, we thought about leaving but were assured, but the owner Mindy, our table would be ready in 10-15 minutes. We are so happy we waited. This was some of the best servers we have ever seen. We were lucky to have Todd. My wife counted and thought he was waiting on 10-11 tables while we were there, but the service felt like we were his only table. He was extremely thorough, filling our water when it was half empty, taking away empty plates, and giving us history of the restaurant, the owners, and other servers. He knew the menu extremely well and helped us make 2 excellent choices. I had the Chicken Guillermo, this was chicken topped with krabmeat and mozzarella cheese with brocoli, mushrooms and pasta on the side. My wife had the Mindy's Crabcakes, these were 2 cup sized krabcakes with angel hair pasta and a blush sauce. Both were out of this world. Both of dinners came with soup, salad, and bread.

Sunday we decided to try Guillermos in Washington Township. We remembered talking to Todd, that the Washington Township location was a little quiter, darker, and right next to a liquor store. We wanted a relaxing dinner. We walked in and were surprised to see how busy they were for a Sunday night. We were sat in the corner and were very happy to have Todd come to our table. We could not make up our minds, so we decided to try and few extra items this time. For appitizers we had Brocoli Rabe, which included sausage and chick peas, Mussels in a white sauce, and Clams Casino. All were excellent, I think there were 2 dozen mussels in the bowl. Next we had the Escarole soup, excellent. The salads came next, again good, but not the best course. On to the dinner - I had Chicken Cianci, but added some scallops...this was out of this world. It was breaded eggplant, with chicken, roasted red peppers, and melted mozzarella, with my addition of scallops. My wife had the Penne with Crabmeat in a read sauce, again excellent and another huge portion. We decided to try the dessert. I had the tiermasu and she had the peanut butter mouse cake. Both very good.

All in all, this place is excellent. The food is fantastic with large portions and the service is the best we have seen. Make sure to request Todd. Thanks to the owners and Todd for another wonderful time!

HORRIBLE experience! Sad! We live nearby and have tried a few of the restaurants on Broadway, in Pitman. Our favorite so far is Barcelona. They could give Giullermo's a few lessons in how to treat your customers, not to mention the food. We sat there for a while watching our waitress, Carol, passing us by without an acknowledgement or a glance, even though she was 1 foot from seat. I finally had to get the hostess to get her to come to our table. No apology from her at all. The chicken barley soup was very good, wish I could say the same about the rest of the meal. I had the Debbie's special salmon. The salmon was fresh, but the bread crumbs made it so dry I almost choked and the cheese topping, well, let's just leave it there. I asked for vegetables instead of the pasta and they charged an extra $2.00, even though I replaced one item for another. My husband had the veal parm. He was not very happy. It was just OK for him. Carol forgot to give him his coffee he requested, also. I forgot that we also had to ask another employee for the bread. Wanted to love this place so much. Sad. Then when we brought home the food we did not eat, (for the dogs) we were more insulted when we opened the food and saw they did not care how they packed it. Half of my meal was thrown on my husbands veal, and half of his meal was thrown in with my salmon. The rudeness and disregard for paying customers is a disgrace. We truly wanted to love this place, but I don't think we would even give it a second chance. Bacelona should expand their business so we could enjoy good food, and treatment in an adorable town. Oh, by the way, the place was only half full last night, Friday, around 7:30 PM, so there was no excuse for not acknowledging your customers in a respectfull and timely manner.

my husband and i have eaten at the township Guillermo's and have now been going to the one in Pitman because it is closer to us. We have never and i mean never had a bad meal there. Their service is excellent, food delicious and price can't be beaten. If you have a concern the owner is always there to listen. If you weren't satisfied at Guillermo's, you probably wouldn't be satisfied anywhere else.

The food was deliciious- My wife ordered Chicken Parmigiana and fortunately, she allowed me to savor a few bites - It was sumptuous! I ordered Stuffed Flounder and it too was DELICIOUS! - Large servings with lots to take home for another taste of Guillermo's.

Overall food was fantastic!

The dining area itself was not as quaint as Guillermo's in Washington Township & though there seemed to be plenty of personnel on hand, I think they could have used a few extra waitresses as the restaurant was nearly full with patrons.

The food quality is deifinitely 5 STARS - Ambience 3 STARS - I'm sure they'll be able to improve that over time.

Ladies night out, we found ourselves in this quant "not so little" restaurant, (bigger inside
then we expected). Our server was very pleasant. We opted for the dinner special
which was scallops, crabmeat, asparagus with penne pasta. The cost was $17.95
and included soup, salad, bread and main course. Very good value.
We were pleasantly surprised at the great flavor of the soup and main course.
The portion size is plentiful...you will not leave hungry. As the holiday season is upon us,
this is a perfect time to consider a nice dinner at this perfect little restaurant
that promotes the warmth you want to share with your special friends and loved ones.
Five stars!

My children took me to Guillermo's on Broadway tonight for my birthday dinner. The three of us ordered different pasta/chicken entrees and each of us felt that the food was very good. (the pastina would have been better with a little less pepper but it was still good) The service was also good. Fees charged were not excessive. Thank you to the staff of Guillermo's on Broadway for unknowingly helping me to enjoy my birthday.

Went with my family to Guillermo's last night. We've been to the one in Sewell before so we were anxious to experience the new one. It definitely exceeded our expectations. The wait staff is learning the ropes, but we were blessed with a great server who was clearly knowledgeable about the menu for my husband's dietary restrictions. The food was great. The ambiance was very nice and this restaurant should be a great boost for downtown Pitman. Thank you to the owner and Mayor Batten for making this happen :)

Thank you to the owner and Mayor Batten for making this happen :)

probably one of the worst dinners ever! the wait staff was FAR from attentive - we sat at our table for a good 15 minutes before anyone even came over to greet us. no water was given, and they disappeared with our bottle of wine for another 10 minutes after that. the place seemed to be horribly managed...poor organization...it seemed like there were 6 servers and no one actual being responsible for anything...chaotic, really.

when we placed our order we were not informed that we would be getting soup and salad with our meal, so we ordered an appetizer. the calamari was basically inedible. rubbery, fishy, and probably frozen. soup was decent, though unflavorful, and salad seemed unwashed, gritty with bits of dirt.
for entrees we ordered the veal saltimboca and the chicken piccante. both arrived literally submerged and swimming in sauce. the chicken dish basically looked like soup with an inordinate amount of halved button mushrooms on top, and although it was advertised as a lemon chicken, had no hint of a lemon flavor whatsoever. the chicken, once fished out from the goop was flavorless and under seasoned. the veal dish was tough and seemed to be covered in frozen chopped spinach.
i can't say that we had high expectations walking into this restaurant...we had a feeling the meal would be average, at best... but between the bad food and worse service, we were extremely disappointed.

it's a shame, because we were hoping for a quaint, homey, down the street place we could frequent - but we will never come back again. this place needs some serious work.

My husband and I ate at Guillermo's on Broadway in Pitman last night. We have been to their other location in Washington Township.

The food is good. There is a large selection. They offer the Sunset Menu which gives you soup, salad, entree, and beverage. This is a great value especially since the entree portions are so large.

I had the Chicken Aurora which is sliced chicken breast with spinach and penne in a blush sauce.
At least half of the meal came home. I am starving just thinking about it.

My husband had the salmon special which was included on the Sunset Menu. It was so good, it barely saw the light of day.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and you have cloth napkins and tablecloths, my friend Al's criteria for a first class restaurant.

The service cannot be beat. Chris did a super job!
Plan on enjoying dinner here before theatre night at the Broadway next door.
