Unpretentious, delicious food
by Izatur
We had ?stumbled? at Carolina Kitchen by accident, and immediately decided to add it to a list of our most favorite places on the Eastside. Food was earthly, unpretentiously delicious: fresh, fragrant and beautifully spicy. Person serving this food was so attentive and easygoing; it felt like we dropped for dinner by a friend house. We ordered fried green tomatoes, shrimp jambalaya, jalape?o hush puppies, BBQ pulled pork, collard greens, Mom?s coleslaw, cornbread and beef brisket, and liked it all to the last drop and crumble. Jalape?o hush puppies and cornbread served with honey butter were just a haven. Also: good selection of beer (so did my husband comment).
Pros: authentic
Cons: hard to find

Great ribs and service
by Ken C
The bar-b-q is authentic, tastes great. The ribs are meaty, and the sauce (red) makes the enseble irreistable. The people always make you feel special and they take care of your needs. I only get it to go. The meat has a nice smoke ring and the portions are enough to feed a person. Way to go carolina.
Pros: Good food
Cons: Don't know any

Very good and reasonable prices, big portions
by DasCoug
I checked this barbecue restaurant out the other night. I really liked it. I was really full when I left and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. The mustard sauce was very good as well as the regular bbq sauce. Nice selection of beer. Not a huge selection but good beers! Good service too. Very attentive and explained what certain items on the menu were since I was not aware of them.
Pros: BBQ and micro brew

YUUUUUMMMMMYYYYY!
by WallaWallaSweet
Great food at reasonable prices. We ordered the shrimp and grits and were disappointed to find that they were sold out of them. Baby back ribs with mustard sauce were outstanding! My son had chicken strips and said they were really good (they were the plain old strips that most kids like, not all spiced up). My daughter and husband both liked there meals. It would be nice if the servers asked if you were familiar with the food so that they could explain it for those who are unfamiliar.
Pros: Friendly atmosphere, great food
Cons: Not too many tables.

Good BBQ
by CurtNelson
The pulled pork sandwich was very good and seasoned just right. It was the best BBQ I've had in awhile. The fried okra and cole slaw were just ok. The okra was too greasy for my taste.
Pros: Meats
Cons: sides are just average

Funky Good Ribs
by ruddlin
This place is a little dive B-B-Q tucked in a tiny shopping area. Theres a bar a few tables and a very friendly guy behind the counter serving up great ribs. The chickens good too, but the beans, creamed corn and balck eyed peas must have come out of a can. I also tried the corn bread and have had better just about anywhere. Servings are a little small so order lots of extra if your hungry. We ordered a small amount for three adults and the bill came to $55. Still, those ribs are worth getting.
Pros: B-B-Q
Cons: Sides
