Amoskeag Urgent Dental Care

My wisdom teeth have been giving me horrible pain on and off again for the past 6 or 7 years, at which time I've asked dozens of people and have done countless internet searches regarding the removal of wisdom teeth (I'm a research kind of person). That leads me to WHY I waited so long- the stories I've heard of wisdom teeth removal were nothing short of a horror movie. Because of this, and my busy schedule, I have been putting off even SEEING a dentist, thinking that I would have to be stuck in my house, unable to do anything for work or pleasure, for AT LEAST a week.

Well, finally, I had had enough. I was out doing a photo shoot (I'm a photographer) the morning of 10/28 and literally couldn't take the nagging pain anymore. At around 10am, I gave the office a call. The receptionist was very pleasant and told me to come in at 2pm.

I arrived at 2:00pm and was seen promptly. Everyone there was very courteous and friendly. I had a few quick x-rays done, and was then seen by Dr. Salem, who removed my top and bottom wisdom teeth on the left side of my mouth. He was VERY friendly and personable. By 2:20pm, I was already out of the office and on my way home. I was in shock- it was so quick and painless (I actually said to everyone "I can't believe I waited this long to have my wisdom teeth removed!!!"). The painkillers I was prescribed were not needed at all, as I NEVER felt any discomfort or pain during or after the removal of my teeth. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and efficient. My co-workers were astonished at how good I looked after my teeth were extracted- no swelling or pain whatsoever.

It's only been a week, and I've already recommended Amoskeag Urgent Dental Care to a bunch of my friends. Thanks for the great experience!

i had to go in for a root canal. Ive never had one before, and was very nervous. Dr Salem came in right away and i didnt feel a thing. i was out the door in 45 minutes! the staff was very nice and helped me relax as best i could. i will be back! thank you. F. Johnson

I had a not so good experience at Amoskeag Urgent Dental Care. First off, the only reason I went to their office was purely out of necessity. I had a horribly painful fractured tooth that needed to be removed asap and they were the only ones I could find that would take same day appointments. When I entered the office, and several times before I was seen I asked for a drink of water as my stomach was upset with all the pain medicines I had taken earlier that day. I never did get the water I wanted. As it turned out, I needed to have the tooth removed, which I was told would be a virtually painless experience. No pain....only pressure. That's what I was told. After three times of explaining that was I was feeling during the procedure was clearly pain and not pressure, I was finally given more Novocaine. By this time I was in tears and praying for it to be over. The extra Novocaine that was given to me was in no way helpful and my complaints about pain were ignored.
Bottom line....I wouldn't go back even under the most horrible circumstances. I would rather wait to get an appointment somewhere else even if it meant being in excruciating pain for several more days.

One of my teeth had broken on Friday night and by Monday morning they had called me and i had an appointment by Monday afternoon. I had expected it to be horrible and painful and it was virtually painless.... They were very nice and understanding. I had seen DR. Salem and he was great at explaining things to me so i understood them without confusion. I had two wisdom teeth pulled and feel weird to say i am actually looking forward to them pulling the other two. I would recommend DR. Salem to anyone with tooth problems and even for regular care. Thank you so much...

When one of my teeth started hurting badly, I tried to ignore it because I hate going to the dentist so much! When a piece of it fell off, I knew I had to do something right away. I went to Dr. Salem and felt so ridiculous for not going in much sooner...everything that people typically hate about the dentist was missing from my experience with Dr. Salem. His staff was kind and professional, his attitude was great...and best of all, his work was speedy and of excellent quality. I had my root canal on 6/29/2009 and here, a month and a half later, you would never know that I was ever in pain or missing a piece of my tooth. The work looks fantastic and it really feels like I got my own tooth back! I would not hesitate to use Dr. Salem again, for an urgent dental matter or for routine care, and would sincerely urge anyone I know who needs dental work of any nature to go and see Dr. Salem at Amoskeag Urgent Dental! I was looking for a new Dentist and was very confused as to which to pick, as you know looking in the telephone book is not always safe. Well, my sister recommended Dr. Salem in Manchester and again she was right. Dr. Salem is a caring, wonderful, knowledgeable Dentist. I had an emergency on a week-end and he called me from his vacation in Florida. What a guy. I refer him to every one I know. Thanks again to my awesome sister Kelly. She's the best!! {:-)

I had a toothache on and off for about 2 weeks. As soon as I called Amoskeag Urgent Dental Care they scheduled an appointment with Dr. Salem. He informed me that my tooth needed to be pulled, took the time to explain exactly what to expect and the steps that needed to be done for the missing tooth gap. The time and care that Dr. Salem took me was superior to any dentist I have ever visited. I would recommend Dr. Salem and the staff at Amoskeag Urgent Dental Care to anyone who needs and who is looking for quality dental service.

I had been in pain for days with a bad tooth ache and my wife had found the listing for Dr Salem, called and they gave me an appointment immediately. Dr Salem and his staff made my visit very comfortable and painless. I have recommended him to a few friends that have also used his service and loved him. I want to THANK YOU Dr Salem and your incredible staff for taking care of my dentist needs (and insurance paperwork) in such a timely fashion if I had to wait for my former dentist to make me an appointment then I would have been waiting weeks.

My wife had work done by Dr.Salem and we were very pleased with the way we were treated by him and his staff. They are very friendly and comforting. My wife called to schedule an appointment for me at 1pm on a Friday and Dr Salem called me back himself by 1:15pm and I was sitting in his office by 2pm. I had been having several problems with my teeth and within 1 hour he filled 3 cavities and extracted a tooth that was not able to be saved. My current dentist's next available appointment was almost 2 months away. I am very greatfull for the care that my wife and I have received there and will definitely be returning. I was having bad tooth pain and my current dentist said that it would need to be extracted and wouldn't be able to get me in right away. I called Dr.Salem and he got me in the next day. I had my husband in the room because I have bad anxiety and Dr Salem made me feel very much at ease. He is very comforting and understanding, and so is his staff. I thought my only option to take care of the pain of my tooth was to have it pulled, but he was able to save the tooth.(thank God) He is absolutely amazing and told me he would take care of all my tooth problems. I have definitely found myself a new dentist. He made me feel so comfortable, which is of great importance to me. He is very compassionate and I have recommended him to so many people and will continue to do so. I even sent him a Thank You card to show my appreciation, which I don't do very often.

I went to Dr. Salem for a tooth extraction. He removed three teeth and did so without pain. My time in the chair was thirty minutes and my impacted tooth was out like magic!

The appointment was prompt even though it was scheduled 4 hours before. Holly was wonderful with getting my paperwork and insurance processed.

Everyone involved were truly professional and caring. They took the time to talk to me and calm me down.

Plenty of parking and clean, newer building. All in all a five star experience.

I called Dr. Sales's office early one morning with quite a painful toothache and at noon that same day I was in there being taken care of. Since I have an awful fear of needles Dr. Salem was so gentle and took such wonderful care of me. He has taken such an interest in my case as I am sure he does with all of his patients. He has a terrific staff as well. They are all very professional. I have seen several dentists throughout my years and by far Dr. Salem is THE BEST Dentist I have ever seen. Finally I have found my Dentist!!! I would highly recommend for everyone to see Dr. Salem and his staff at Amoskeag Urgent Dental Care.

A broken tooth began to abcess , naturally on a weekend, so I put in a call to Dr. Salem on Saturday evening because my regular dentist could not see me before Monday. To my surprise I received a call from Dr. Salem early on Sunday morning, from his home, offering to meet me at his office as soon as I could get there. He took a set of x-rays to assess the situation and removed the offending tooth. Not only was the care I received excellent but his "chairside" manner was very comforting as well. Dr. Salem also took the time to call me Sunday evening to see how I was feeling. I would definitely recommend Dr. Salem and I am sure I will be seeing him again as a regular patient.

I would highly recommend Dr. Salem to any of my family and friends. I continue to be a patient, although I no longer live nearby. It's more than worth it to me to drive 45 minutes out of my way because I know Dr. Salem will take the time and attention needed to make my experience as painless and effortless as it can be. Most of us don't enjoy going to the dentist, and it can be a little uncomfortable sometimes. I've found Dr. Salem to be extremely kind, patient and concerned about my comfort and satisfaction. I recently visited his urgent care office and he made the best of an 'emergency situation'. I wouldn't have trusted anyone else with the job. I was in and out as quickly as possible and I felt like I was taken care of extremely well. All my questions were answered and I left feeling better than when I went in. Top notch service, facilities and people.

My Husband and I were looking for a dentist that would see him quickly and do all the work needed before he started radiation. Not only did we get an appointment quickly the staff was wonderful and they saw him everyday until all work was finished!! We are thrilled! He has stated everyday that he has had NO pain associated with the dental care! We both reccomend Dr. Salem highly!

I have been a patient of Dr. Salem now for over a year. I was having lot of problems with my top teeth breaking off and he was able to help me on removing them. I never felt any pain at any of my visits. I have found that any time I had a problem with my teeth, I was able to get in right away. I was in on Nov.17th with a real bad tooth ache. I had called at 11.30am and had an appointment for 2pm. I arrived early and was taken in just before 2pm. He has a new assistant that is just as good as Dr. Salem. I never felt a thing when he removed the bad tooth. Dr. Salem has exspanded he offices to acommondate all his clients needs. I recommended him and his staff very highly. They are all well trained and very polite and courtious to their customer. Keep up the good work Amoskeag Urgent Denist. Thank you for the good service.

So a week ago a crown in my mouth starts hurting. The last time I went to the dentist I went to All Care Dental and had a horrible experience.I dreaded this whole dentist stuff. My fiance gave me a number for a place he just went to a few months back. So I call and I tell the lady on the phone I've never been there before and I have a problem with my crown, Is there something they could do for me today 1 Min later I'm off the phone with an appointment. So to make a long story short I needed a root canal. The doctor tells me that with my insurance it should cost about $. Well halfway through the process he left the room then came back saying that my insurance doesn't cover what he thought, but he says I told you it would cost this amount and that's what you will pay. WOW i was very impressed on how much he kept his word. So about the tooth i was in and out an hour and 15 min. No pain no problems just very attentive service. Hands down I will see them for future visits.

Dr. Salem took all the anxiety and pain out of a difficult situation.
The best dentist i have been too. Made everything relaxed and easy for me. It was a pleasure to go to Amoskeag Urgent Dental care. I was frozen with fear, but not anymore. I can't say enough good things about him. The staff was wonderful and made me feel relaxed. They were marvelous.

Jessica had a great experience with Dr. Salem and his team. We were very nervous about changing our family dentist. We have been going to the same dentist for 25 years. A filling in one of her teeth fell out and we thought it is going to be a quick fix, but it was more than that she needed a root canal. She had the whole thing done and didn't even know. The team at Dr. Salem's office are a wonderful group of people and we would recommend.

I had broken a tooth, which then became infected and was in serious pain! Dr. Salem's office took me in right away, reassured me and took care of the issue right away. The staff was excellent, thanks to Marta who was so understanding and gentle and to Dr. Salem for taking the time to make sure his patients are well cared for, not only during the visit, but in follow up as well. I recomment this office highly, and will book future visits with them. I am even losing my phobia of dentists thanks to them!

I sent an email to Amoskeag Urgent dental early in the am for two infected teeth and to my surprise not only did they get me in, but it was in a short time frame.When I arrived I was greeted with a smile and the staff seemed happy to see me even though we had never met.Dr.Salem and his staff took time with me as the dentist is the worse place for me to go and made me feel like at that point I was their only patient.After a short 35 minutes or so I was exiting the office starting to feel better after getting two teeth extracted and starting antibiotics.The most impressive thing was the next day when i got home from work I got a phone call from Dr.Salem himself to check and make sure that I was doing well or at-least better than I was previously, and that made the world of difference so now I know where I will be attending to get the rest of my work done.SO THANK YOU TO AMOSKEAG URGENT DENTAL CARE, I for once in a long time can feel like I may be able to smile again and feel good about myself with your help.

My main concern with dealing with any dentist, is comfort level. My mouth is very sensitive. Dr. Salem made me feel very comfortable. His chairside manner put me at ease. I would recommend Dr. Salem to my friends. In general it is a very nice atmosphere.

Amoskeag Urgent Dental Care, in my opinion, is staffed with the most competent, kindest, and fastest crew I have ever seen!
I am a big-time "nervous Nellie"and have allergies to both certain anesthetics AND medications. Dr. Salem and his wonderful staff took it all in stride! This bunch of hardworking professionals have the most amazing "chairside manner" I have ever experienced. They will put you immediately at ease, and will explain everything to you.
I went in for a nasty sheared off back molar,broken in half all the way down to the gumline, and the Doc had it out in less than three minutes! Took way longer to let the Carbocaine settle in and numb me than it did to pull the little bugger out! I had a nine am appointment, and was on my way home before ten am !
I felt....NOTHING...not even the first injection. Yes, they ARE that good! Anesthetic wore off completely about three hours later, and today (Day Two), I have only the barest of discomfort-- hey, I DID just have a tooth pulled! It's healing great!
The aftercare instructions are extremely thorough; they will go over them with you, and make sure you also have them in writing. You will even have Dr. Salem's home number in case of ANY concerns.
No worries, no problems, just expert care by a very talented team!

This is something that you dont hear of to often. We had been going through a real tough time this year. My Fiance was diagnosed with breast cancer this year and has had numerous types of surgery's also. She was also scheduled for knee surgery in two weeks when her front teeth cracked an was beyond repair. Due to other things she needed a bottom set of teeth made. DR Salem told us it was our lucky day and donated his time ,services and the bottom set to us and told us not to worry about this at all. We just want him and everyone out there to know how much he is appreciated and how he has made my fiance's smile even more beautiful than it allready was.

I was very early when I arrived Amoskeag Urgent Dental Care,but the staff didn't make me wait too long. I feel comfortable and nice. Dr. Salem came in later,and we discussed the teeth problem which I had.He gave me some suggestions about my teeth problem.Then, the treatment began.It was quite simple and short. It wasn't last a long time. I'm glad that I can enjoy my favorite food and ice cream now. Thank you.

I was on a business trip to Long Island,NY,my crown came loose,i called The"Amoskeag Urgent Care"office for help,given 10AM appointment next day,"Dr Salem " ,is very warm and genuine,office was very clean,had the very latest dental equipment,staff very helpful and friendly,i was all fixed and on my way in an hour.Truly what today's Dentist needs to be.

I have had nothing but trouble with dentists and my teeth for many years. I finally broke down and called Amoskeag Urgent Dental this morning, and made an appointment. I have a great fear of the dentist, and today, I lost that fear. When I called, Ellen was so understanding and made me feel so comfortable with going into the office. I called at 10:30 in the morning, and got in for 1:00 that afternoon. I was amazed at the speediness of them. When I arrived at the office this afternoon, I was greeted so nicely, and when I expressed my fear of the dentist, I was constantly reassured that there was nothing to fear. My dental assistant Jess was so friendly, and she made me so comfortable from the first minute. When Dr. Salem came into the room, he brought in such a happy presence with him. He made me feel so at peace with my situation, and I am so glad that I went in there. He did a root canal in record time, and I didn't even feel a thing. He is so gentle, that I actually made an appointment to go back and see him real soon! He is an amazing Dentist, and I recommend him to anyone. He has such a gentle demeanor about him, he made me feel so comfortable and I am so glad that I found this dentist. If you want an amazing dentist, go see them!!

I went to see Dr Salem last week and he was so kind and caring.He made a difficult situation for me a comfortable one.He was very compassionate and even called me back to check on me, which is very rare these days. Since being seen by him a few times I do not ever want to go back to another dentist. He is absolutley wonderful in my opinion.

I just want to let you all know that Adam Salem is amazing. Not only is it painless, but when we realized that something wasn't right after the procedure, he fixed it without hassle or complaint! That's what I call A+ Service from a dentist!!

If nothing else, I can always appreciates someone who admits to a possible mistake and then goes above and beyond to rectify it. That says a lot about someone, their work ethic, and integrity. I will continue to keep coming back and recommend this facility to others in the future.

I have an 8 year old daughter who was afraid of going to the dentist because of a previous experience at a different dentist. She has never lost a baby tooth so we knew some teeth were going to need to be pulled out. Dr. Salem made her feel so comfortable, and she ended up getting 6 teeth pulled in a matter of minutes. She cant wait to go back and get the rest pulled that need to come out. He is wonderful.

He has been our family dentist for as long as we lived in New Englan and there is No One who comes close to his level of service and care! His staff is wicked friendly and he is very good with little kids. The office is always clean and light and inviting and he is always supportive. Even to his tough patients (like me).

I woke up on a Friday morning to an infection in my mouth and my face was pretty swollen. I called Amoskeag Urgent Dental Care at 8:45 am that morning and the Doctor was able to see me at 10:00am.(I was already impressed!) He and his staff were wonderful and took care of my problem immediately. I was so impressed that I asked the receptionist if he saw patients on a regular basis and she said yes. World class is an excellent way to describe everyone from when you walk in the door to Dr. Adam Salem to the last person you see when you leave. I'm 44 yrs. old and in all my years I, have never had a dental visit like this. Four caps later and when every one else in town would have you leaving without your front teeth (because they want to see you, estimate the damage then see you again, just to be able to charge for two visits no big deal your front teeth are gone). On the first day everyone wanted to know where I, went to have mine and admit it your worst nightmare go away. I had lost my front cap and was not able to even look in the mirror my teeth were a mess. In less than two hours my smile was better than it has been in over twenty years. I know at least three people who said with out a doubt Amoskeag (Dr.Salem) was the only place they would go from now on, I know I'm staying for life.I feel like a school girl with her first crush when I talk about them giddy with excitement over my experience and exci

I broke a filling today and had a lot of pain. Called up Dr. Salem's office and they got me in fast. I now recommend this office to all my family and friends. This office is amazing, all your troubles and fears will go away after your 1st visit here!
