I love malaysian food, but i tried all over the place like Yazmin (Alhambra), Little Malaysia( El Monte), Penang (West Covina), Belacan Grill (Redondo, Irvine), but you can never beat Manja Restaurant. Yes everybody complaining about the price, but after my dining experience. It is really worth ot after all. This the place for those who are wants to enjoy the authentic Malaysian food with nice calm cozy environment. Manja bring Malaysian cuisine to next level of malaysian cuisine to fine dining rather than other malaysian restaurant which resemble to chinese take away.

I can taste their authenticity of their dishes and I ask the manager about their preparation. The dish is carefully prepared on order to maintain the freshness. They do not have premade sauce like others. And to maintain their authencity, they even import all the spices and herb from Malaysia. And all their inventory is pretty much from Malaysia. Only the poultry, meat, and seafood come from local. They are using the tenderloin, pink grouper, tiger prawn, black pompret, not like other restaurant that are using the chuck beef and talapia. Not just that, the portion of each disher is big enough to share with two people. And they are also not stingy with the meat inside their fried noodle or fried rice. I can say that I really enjoy the food at Manja as they are try really hard to bring authenticity of Malaysian food. And even roti canai, they make a dough from scatch, not like other that are using the frozen $2.99 kawanku pratha.

I also like the place. With cozy warm environment, this is really place for "Manja" meant to pamper myself after hard work. They even has the big plasma tv showing the movie or documentary about Malaysia.

I highly recommended this place to hang out with friend. I suggest to bring group of friend and order different item from their menu and share the entree just like in malaysia. Don't forget to try their famous teh tarik and sirap bandung or even roti canai. I also like their complimentary appetizer that serve on the bicycle. It is very unique.

Don't get alarm with their prices, but after you enjoy the whole dining experience, it is really worth it. This is nothing comparing with other malaysian restaurant, as Manja is realy TRULY MALAYSIA
