I had the greatest experience at serremonte VW. Oscar in the service department was so help as well as all the other staff. I would highly recommend anyone with a VW in the bay area take their car there.

Their service dept. Is the greatest. I have purchased 8 cars from Golden Gate WV...before it turned in to Serramonte Volkswagen...Same great team effort.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS w/ this dealership nor the VW in Hayward. They sell FAULTY CARS and are LIARS. They are taking advantage of me because I am a female and Asian. The negotiation was done in Hayward and the car was in Daly City. They didn't even bring the car to me. I had to go to Daly City to get it. They were selling me a car that was defective. When I went to Daly City to pick up the car, it did not start . After the 4th try, it was shaking. They said they were going to put it through a PDI Test. I told them I want another car, they said they'll run a test and it will be fine. The next day when they said it would be ready, the finance manager told me that there is a hole in the hose and they need to replace it . It wouldn't be ready after 3 days. I asked again for another car, he said no. They are going to fix it which is under factory warranty. WHY WOULD A BRAND NEW CAR NEED TO BE FIXED?????

I called VW Hayward twice a day for three days and they never returned my calls. I decided to go there myself on the fourth day . I told them they sold me a defective car and I want my money back (they had already cashed my down payment). They said they would find me another car. I told them I do not want another car from them. That was my initial request, but because of the frustration, I don't want to deal with them anymore. I do not trust them. They told me that the owner just got in and he'd be with us. The sales man led us to an office and left us there. The owner knew were were waiting and just ignored us. After forty minutes of waiting, we looked for someone to attend to us. The finance manager saw me approaching his office and told me that I cannot cancel the purchase, which is a LIE. I never drove the car off the lot which means it still belongs to the dealership. He told me that the car belongs to me and I should pick it up. I told him I don't want the defective car and he said, they will TOW it to my house. At this point I told him that I will contact my lawyer. He threatens me by saying that I do not want to deal with VW Lawyers.

I went to VW Daly City to return the loaner car and to get my paper work. When I went there, the finance manager also gave me a hard time. He told me it's my car and and it's ready. I told him, they were selling me a defective car and I don't want it. He said, "it's brand new and perfect, but it just needed a new part". WTF! I asked for my paper work . He told me to take the car, drive it to Hayward to pick up the paper work. He was trying to get me to get the car off the lot. As I was walking away, he yelled at me asking where his loaner car is and I pointed at it. He was screaming why didn't I park it in front of the dealership. I told him that there's no space in front. He threatened to call the police and I said go ahead. I told him they have such POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I work with customer's everyday and this is unacceptable.

I've done my research and got advice from three other dealership in the bay area. They've been great. With that said, it's the dealers at VW Hayward and Daly City that are SHADY, UNRELIABLE, DISHONEST, and UNPROFESSIONAL.

I brought my Jetta into their service deptartment to have my dashlights fixed. They fixed the dashlights but messed up the wiring to the heater fan, the windsheild wipers and the sunroof. When I brought my car back in to inform them of the situation, they blamed it on me and said they were not related! I now have to pay another dealership hundreds of dollars to fix their mistake. Do not go to this shop!

i had a terrible experience and will never, ever, ever use them again. there is too much to say, but the short story is....i had my car towed out of their service department and took it somewhere else to finish the job, and finish it right. that's my own experience.

I brought my car in for a repair, so I was just dealing with the service department.
There was nothing good about my experience. I have NEVER felt so ripped off in my life!!!!!!
I have never written a bad review for anything before now, but the service department at this pace is so bad I felt I had to.
