It's too bad Pizza Republica is still in business, but hopefully the doors will be closing soon. I don't have a problem with a business making a mistake, but it is then up to the business to make it right with the customer....something that this business does not see the necessity to do. It is unfair to the customer to run a Groupon through June 1 and then close over Memorial Day weekend and not extend the Groupon for those who drove 30 minutes one way (an hour round trip) to try and use it. It is more troubling that the business person then lies to that customer TWICE in the conversation - once saying that they could not extend the time because of Groupon's policies (incorrect because other businesses who have had trouble meeting their timelines for a variety of reasons have not put this off as Groupon's issue) and then saying that they were only closed on Monday (again not true...they were closed on Sunday night AND all day Monday). But worse than all this is the attitude of the person who would not yield and made the entire issue MY fault and did so in such an incredibly rude manner. The happy thing is that, when I spoke to him, he was in a darkened building as the entire restaurant had lost its power and had to close for yet another evening. Bad karma perhaps? There are A LOT of pizza places out there and there is no need to support a business who does not take care of its customers. Shame on you Pizza Republica.

Cons: Poor management style

.

We were in a hurry to catch a play and told the very young waiter this when we arrived. It is almost as if they went out of their way to delay our leaving. The itallian looking manager sat down near our table to chat with a VIP couple (maybe friends of his) and was totally oblivious to anything that was going on in the whole restaurant.
No better than Olive Garden, which is pretty much average Itallian chain food. Go there is you're driving by but I wouldn't go out of your way.

Pros: clean

Cons: service, so-so food

I love this place. It is a great place to eat lunch if you work in the Denver Tech Center. Lunch special can feed almost two people.

It is a great place to entertain clients and it is not too pricey.

Awesome Pizza and a pretty good Happy Hour!

I am not a big pizza fan. I went to Pizza Republica before going to the very nearby movie theater and was shocked! The service was great, the food was great, and the atmosphere was great! I now eat here before every movie and still can't get over how wonderful it is! I also plan on dining at this fantastic restaurant tonight with my mother!

We have been 3x and the service each time is not good. Tonight we had to send our pizza back three times, which still was not what we ordered and plus waited 25 minutes for a salad.

The second time we went my mother-in-law and aunt-in-law who are both over 70 were called "Sweetie." Who wants to be called "Sweetie" at any age.

This restaurant is the gem of the DTC. I don't make it down there very often and am normally disappointed with the selection of mundane chain restaurants. But I recently discovered Pizza Republica and that has all changed. Their menu items are all straight from Italy -- no American twists or inauthentic additives.

We started with meatballs the size of softballs, enjoyed two of their impeccable pizzas and Nona's stuffed shells (a recipe straight from the owner's Italian grandmother), along with a sampling of a few delicious Italian wines.

Sitting at the bar, we got to know Rona, the bar manager and house sommelier. She led us through a sampling of different varietals and gave us a mini-wine course.

This place really is a gem!

Pros: Real Neapolitan Pizza

They have the best pizza, very fresh ingredients. In fact, they make their own mozzarella cheese! The salads and appetizers are good as well. The environment is contemporary, airy, has outdoor seating and friendly staff. I'm still surprised at the happy hour specials: discounted wine and Italian beer and 1/2 price pizzas. You'll spend only $7-8 on a good size, delicious pizza. You can't get Blackjack's for that!
