The food was great, exilarating effect of perfecction, the chef craft the food to fit and exemplified new orleans heart. It's a must location to visit.

All I can say is toooooooo much garlic. I'm from New Orleans an expected a whole lot more than what I received. The catfish was tasty, so was the fried greens and jambalya, however it was way too much garlic. I had garlic coming out of my pores that I had to change my bedsheets the next morning. The smell was everywhere. I went again, and once again, too much garlic. I had the chicken & waffles and a side of mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was HORRIFIC! Who puts garlic in their mac & cheese? It was gross. I will not go back.

This was one the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The sea food gumbo was to spicey, the roux was not completely cooked, and the file was over powering. Red beans and rice were without flavor and watery. The jambalaya was also very spicey, and the rice was gummy. The Po Boy was prepared on stale bread with pre breaded scrimp which of course was frozen not fresh. The iced tea was ok but not served in the traditional large glass one would expect, but in a ten ounce high ball glass which is use in cocktail lounges.
The only decent tasting item I ordered was the blacken cat fish, although it did have a fishy taste when I got to the thicker portion of the filet.
Our server was very attentive and apologetic. He new we were'nt please with our meals by the amount of food left uneaten.
Usually, I would give a restaurant a second chance, but not this time. There was not a food item we tasted, good enough to give us reason to think that our dining experience was the exception and not the norm.
The message I derived from the owners was," serve them anything, because they don't know what cajun cooking taste like anyway".

Young thugs hangout near the place. The staff kind of look scary themselves. Seating is very limited and uncomfortable. I did like the chicken and waffles.
