I have taken my pets to Bogey Hills Animal Hospital the last five years. I switched for convenience sake and I'm so glad I did! All their staff is very knowledgeable, professional, courteous and caring. Appointment availability is never a problem. Their office is very nice, always clean and welcoming. I have met all the veterinarians, but mainly work with Dr. Clapper and Dr. Loder. I am always learning something new from them and I've had pets my whole life! They spend as much time as needed to explain a diagnosis, course of treatment and answer all my questions. I never feel rushed and I even get a call back from the vet if I have a concern! I don't think you can find that kind of service in many places this day and age. Thank you for your exceptional service and for going that extra mile!!

Be careful of this place. I have been going there for a couple years, and will NOT go back. They tell you one thing about the price and then after you agree to the services they charge you a higher price. Very unethical, and not a good business practice. How can i trust the health of my dog to such a deceptive business practice???

I will never take any of my pets anywhere else! Dr. Clapper and the rest of the staff have been wonderful and caring. \n\nMy dog Bear, who sadly has cancer, actually looks forward to his visits to Bogey Hills Animal Hospital. He gets excited as soon as we pull into the parking lot, and drags me to their door!

Dont' read the comment from the angry person who wrote about the Cat and urinary infection - unless you need to read something that the person knows nothing about. It would be interesting to know if the cat was still alive! after this person taking care of it. I have been going to this vet for over 20 years and you can't find a better one! They will discuss different options for procedures and pricing and they truly love their patients!

I am a veterinarian myself and I was looking around for reviews of local vet clinics, when I came across this very angry post ""cat urine collectors: money starving thieves"". I have never commented before but I feel it necessary this time. I tried just commenting on the comment but there was not enough room to get my point across. What I take away from all of this information is that your cat obviously did NOT have a bladder infection (which makes sense since its rather uncommon in other wise healthy cats) and you should be glad that Dr. Clapper did not waste your money on antibiotics that weren't warrented or give you false hope that medication would fix the problem. I see this all the time and many of my colleges just stick cats on antibiotics because thats what clients want. Well, its wrong. Inappropriate urination is the number one cause for cats to be given up to shelters and to fix the problem. I agree that it is all about environment. And even though you may think Dr. Clapper wasted your time, I see that she spent a decent amount of time trying to get you to understand the problem...you said yourself she took 25 minutes just talking. Maybe she didn't relay the information well enough but it sure looks like she tried. I don't know about you but my doctor has never taken that kind of time with me. So, I feel that your anger is misplaced and it saddens me to see such harsh comments. Also, I might add that my son has a peircing. He is a straight A student, does volunteer work, loves his family and I couldn't be more proud of him.

I can't say enough about the about the exceptional quality of care and the staff at Bogey Hills Animal Hospital. My diabetic cat is a patient at this clinic and he has been through a lot with the ups and downs of this disease. The vets (he has seen all 4 of them) have ALL treated me and my pet with kindness, exceptional care, and truly generous concern. They have even gone so far as to call my home just to check and see how he is doing. I can't even imagine how we would have gotten through any of this without them. They were patient in educating us on what to do with the insulin, injections, etc. Not to mention the fact that the minute we walk in the door, the staff knows us by name. In this day and age of impersonal service, it is both refreshing and comforting to know that there are people that still truly care about others. I HIGHLY recommend this hospital to anyone who has a pet that they consider to be their family. The vets and staff at this clinic will treat you and your pet with the utmost respect and give you nothing but the best in verterinary services. The clinic is also beautiful and clean and so easy to get to. You will never have a problem getting an appointment, the staff has always been more than willing to accomodate my sometimes hectic schedule and so pleasant to deal with. I can't thank them enough and if you or anyone you know wants the best of the best, Bogey Hills Animal Hospital is the ONLY place to go.

I am very happy with the service that my pet has received from Bogey Hills. He was going to another animal hospital and they hadn't detected surgery was needed for his gums. His vet at Bogey Hills mentioned the need for surgery during our first visit and my dog has been eating much better. The staff is very friendly and caring. My vet is fantastic!!! The hospital is close to home...My family and I are very fortunate to have found Bogey Hills Animal Hospital!

I have to say picking a vet is VERY hard to do, there are millions of them in this area. I had tried several different vets and was unhappy with most of them. I came to know Bogey Hills Animal Hospital by a couple of women at the dog shelter in St. Charles City. The dog I had just recently purchased needed to be spayed so they told me to go there. I LOVED the service I was provided. The vet was very caring and super helpful with this process. My puppy ended up getting very sick and I had to take her back the following day so they could inject fluid into her and the vet waived the office visit and even followed up with us before the hospital closed for the day to make sure she was doing fine. This is where I will be going for all of my vet services from now on. Highly recommended

We have been to many different vets in the St Charles area looking for the right one to fit our family. We happened across them on accident, however; now believe we have found the right one. They are very sympathetic and respectful. Yes, they may be a little pricy on some things, but on almost everything we have come across they were much less expensive than any other place, including the humane society. We had to put one of our members to sleep, which as you can imagine was one of the most strenuous decisions anyone can make. The vet and everyone in there took the time to comfort us instead of simply treating us like a number in line, like many other vet offices. We purchase our frontline there and have found that it is less expensive to purchase it there than at Petsmart, Petco, and even the online or mail catalog companies. I strongly recommend them to anyone I know, and those I don't.

I do not recommend taking a living animal to Bogie Hills Animal Hospital. I took my cat to Dr. Clapper to be checked out for a possible urinary tract infection. In return I was charged 20.00 for her urine, 45.00 for the urinalysis, and finally the office call itself was 41.00. After taking up our time, Dr. Clapper was often lost in thought and she lacked any professional medical advice. I felt as though I had taken my cat to a piercer (the jewelry on her face was a distraction) or possible hippie/stoner. It took less than 10 minutes to get the results back, and 25 for Dr. Clapper to repeat herself as though she was an animal therapist saying it must be my cats environment that has effected her behavior. BOTTOM LINE---------she offered no advice, there was nothing wrong with my cat----------and after it all I was charged over one hundred dollars. You would believe my cat was pissing gold for what they charged. It should be known, I later called to compare at surrounding animal hospitals such as All Cats Hospital on the Cave Springs exit and they said the total of everything that I was charged would have been close to half price.
