My hair was extremely damaged by a completely incompetent color service. I asked specifically for someone experienced in the service I wanted and was given the probably least experienced stylist. She destroyed my color and called another

I visited the Hair and Face Lounge after reviewing their online portfolio that featured some really nice innovative cuts. During my visit I had my hair cut by Karen, the owner. She repeatedly did not listen to what I wanted, and seemed to be in a rush to get me out of the chair so that she could get to her next client (hair extensions). I had to stop her several times from drying my hair, when she thought that it was done, to ask for more length taken off. At one point she replied, "Oh, you really were serious". When getting my hair cut, I generally do not try to mislead the stylist, as I have to live with the haircut. I wanted something a little funky and out of the ordinary; instead I got a very plain, boring haircut. She couldn't even remember that I didn't want my bangs cut straight across, even though I repeated this request several times. There are other, far superior, stylists in the area that charge a lot less. I will defiantly be taking my business elsewhere.

Pros: NONE

Cons: Unprofessional, no listning skills. Just plain BAD

I've been going to this salon since November and am appalled at the immaturity of these previous "reviewers". Its pretty clear to me that these are fake - what's up with the personal attacks on the staff? Just remember, karma is the REAL b*%^$.... As far as the staff goes, I've never been around for foul language, and the fact that the stylsts are talking about their KIDS is a great thing considering that everyone in the place is either a parent or has a parent, you know? You might as well have said that you don't like that they talk about the weather. And the two receptionists that I've met have been awesome - maybe there was a third? Who knows, but one thing is for sure - the hair & face lounge puts out good hair. If the quirky decorations are keeping you away, you're just missing out.

First of all, I think it's unprofessional of you to call ANY client of yours ignorant. I did not make any scheduling complaints. In fact, YOU suggested for me to come in on a Monday, not me. and I appreciated it. I was unaware of your child needing to be picked up nor did I make any complaint about you using your phone. Actually while I was there, one of your male stylists came in with relationship drama and when you were done with my extensions you TOLD US that you got a text from your stylist having drama and that he's at the bar and you were going to meet him. Also, you did not take 6 hours to do my extensions... and I did not complain about that either. It took you 4 hours and 45 min. I don't think you understand what I was upset about. You told me you would get me that brush to take care of my hair, and you ignored my phone calls and no one called me back after I left a message. About not straightening my hair, I said that I didn't know how that type of thing goes.... then you explained in your response.. don't you think I should have been told that the day of my extensions??? Why am I just learning that now? And I did not want to just change my hair after I got the extensions.. I actually kept them in for 4 months before I got them taken out. You think I'm ignorant, but you are just being defensive because I wasn't completely satisfied. I didn't deny giving you a hug, but I was VERY unhappy about being ignored is all I complained about. I was unhappy at the FOLLOW UP not with the extensions. Giving someone $1500 for their service deserves a returned phone call.

I've gone in a handful of times over the past 18 months for various work: cut, color, style, and your basic touch up by various staff of the Lounge between both locations. The staff has remained steady with a few moving on to other ventures and a couple new smiling faces. The locations have been full of personality; the first place was cute and charming, and a little creepy in a Scooby Doo haunted house way and the new place has a cool retro / funky strip mall thing going on... and being bigger, it definitely has more then enough room for some new talent should they need to expand the staff.
From the time you call or walk in to the time you leave... it is warm and personable, yet highly professional. Tasty beverages are always on hand and are complimentary. The pricing is on par with salon standards... you definitely won't feel robbed (I have yet to get extensions, so I can't speak personally about that - but I feel for you.) This is not an uptight salon by any stretch of the imagination; it is a fun, energetic and a personal favorite place to go in downtown Cary. Conversation is candid and almost any topic can come up and while it certainly isn't church, I have never seen or heard anything that has made me uncomfortable. I have certainly had my "off" days... and while I have never seen it happen, if one of the staff were to have an "off" day; you would not know it because I have never seen a bad haircut leave... if you have any issue with the hair, I am certain they would fix it up with no problem.
Sites like City Search are great for getting out the word on local businesses around town: good and bad. A downside is that it is very easy to defame someone's name with no reprecutions. It is very unfortunate that the few negative reviews below seem to be poorly masked, personal jabs more then anything objective. People are definitely entitled to their opinion, but you should be a good person and be responsible with the power of anonymity the web provides.

Pros: staff, vibe, layout, always sunny and warm inside!

Cons: parking entry, kamakaze squirrels, front shrubbery can hide it

What a horror- this place has nothing to offer remotely close to the Aveda brand; I went to The Lounge for a cut and was greeted by a bunch of foul mouthed women who were more interested in talking about their kids than my haircut. I was terrified by the entire place; from the tacky waiting area, to the back room with plastic astro turf. Honestly, I do not know what the owner was thinking, but it did not involve interest in the salon or staff. What a disappointment. And it's worth mentioning; who ever it is that schedules the appointments needs to go back to school for some lessons in manners - why would anyone who is suppose to be helpful with scheduling an appointment, be such a beast. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider going here.

Hi Eryn! I haven't heard from you about any unhappiness that you may have been experiencing. When I did see you out well after your extensions service was performed, you hugged me, & you & your friends told me how much you loved your extensions. To clarify about the professional application of extensions, they are straightened pre-application & are shaped/blended using professional tools to help create a natural appearance after the application is complete. Styling extensions after the application can cause a premature breakdown of the extension bonds. Once your extensions were applied & the blending was complete, your hair extension application service was also complete. To address the matter of personal slander in your review, your extensions were applied on a day when the salon is closed to fit your bartending schedule. Typically, we don't allow any cellphone use in our salon, but the day we did your extensions was a special circumstance. I opened the salon just to fit your needs & performed the 6+ hr. service graciously on my day off. You were made aware that I had my cell phone beside me in case my child's atypical after school provider needed to get in contact with me. You were also informed that you were my only guest and that I was closing the salon following the completion of your service so I could pick up my child. I was NOT going out drinking instead of picking up my daughter, nor before completing your service . Your review reads as a personal attack - you feel cheated a further relationship did not exist between us after the service was completed... Update: We're happy to have worked things out with Eryn.

I do not normally write reviews, but I think it's only fair to give people looking for a salon to see the good and the bad. I got extensions this year from Karen. I paid approximately $1500 for them. I was extremely excited about it, and I ignored the fact that I was a little rushed out of my consulation appointment, but I wasn't upset about it.

The day I got my extensions, she did a good job, an 8 out of 10. After the session, I thought maybe she'd straighten my extensions or style it for me, but I don't know how many people do that. As I'm sitting looking at my hair, when she's done with the register, ect, she said that she was kicking me out because someone texted her to go drinking.... it was 4pm and after giving her $1500, I didn't feel that I should have been rushed out of there. On top of that, I was never given the specific brush you are supposed to use for extensions. After telling me she'd get one, she went drinking instead.

I left 2 mesgs on their salon phone asking if I could come by and pick up the brush, but I never got a call back. You'd think if a stylist wanted her cilent to come back, they'd return her mesgs. Especially when the fee for getting extensions out is $100/hour. After being ignored, I took my business elswhere and paid someone else to take them out for me.

I would never suggest Karen to anyone, unless they wanted to feel rushed out and not cared for. I've been in sales/customer service for years, and you do not treat your clients poorly... especially when they hand you $1500 for your services.

I have never made a bad complaint on anyone, but that is a good hunk of change, and in this economy, I feel that people who are willing to pay that, should get good service. I'm not trying to bash Karen or her salon, I'm sure they have many great stylists. But I do not suggest getting extensions from her. The fact that I never had my phone calls returned really makes me mad, even tho the extensions looked pretty good, I feel cheated.

As a very difficult to please client, I am going to do something right now that I have never done on any web site ever and that is to write a review.

I feel strongly about writing this particular review because as a client of Toni I would like to dismiss accusations that have been made against her. Toni is a true professional and is eager to listen and please her clients. She has a look of profound delight in her eyes when you look in the mirror at your cut or color and tell her you are pleased.

I have not had a better cut or color from anyone since meeting Toni and that includes some of the top salons in London.

Toni can tell when you are not 100% satisfied. She can read you like a book and will subtly and kindly make you feel that it is okay to ask for changes to be made there and then if she does not hear total approval in your praise.

It is Toni?s way to make you feel you are her only client of the day, has all the time in the world and more importantly makes you feel comfortable enough to say if you think you would like changes made.

So if anyone was unhappy with their service with Toni, all it would have taken was a moment to say what the problem was and I can assure you it would have been taken care of there and then and with good grace. One wonders why you would not say anything at all if you were indeed this unhappy.

May I suggest you take a moment and know this girl is the real deal?she cares?..of course about your hair?but also genuinely about you?.quite rare these days.

Know you can still call her to fix any problem you have and without any judgment she will make sure you walk out feeling as though you are her only client??call her??
I hope you will give reflection on your review and call Toni?..Then please write another review?

Neighborhood salon is nice but if your are looking for professionalism, you won't find much here. A little too relaxed. Have had my hair cut and colored by Toni 2 times. I've gotten the impression they can take your business or leave it every time I've been here. One haircut was ok and then the next was so bad I thought maybe she was trying to get rid of me. I had to go somewhere else to have the cut and color corrected. I suspect this stylist is employed here due to a friendship with the owner. I also suspect that this stylist is not properly trained, needs some retraining, or is lazy and only does enough to get by with. This stylist also needs to listen more to the client. I feel she not once truly listened to my vision. She also never asked me any questions. Doesn't appear to focus on your hair while she talks non stop about her child. Can't give this salon any further business until they up their game with professional, experienced stylists.

I am writting to address the cutomer that feels she has gotten ripped off on her extensions-

I have been going to Karen Parsons for 10 years. She is one of the most respected members of our community. The Hair and Face Lounge is one of the most unique salons you will ever find. All of the stylest are very innovative, up to date with all of latest/greatest, and make it a fantastic experience every visit.
I have had extensions for three years, all but one of the applications have been done at the hair and face lounge by Karen. I have never had any issues or problems with her services. However, the first experience I had was not so good. I had them done in a different state five years ago at that time Karen was not doing extensions. The application was not correct and the price was much more. This product was also Great Lengths. I have always wanted long healthy hair and this was a perfect solution so I did not give up! Of course when you get extensions you have two types of hair. One is yours and the other is not! GL and Karen matches the hair for perfect color and texture for your hair type. My hair is naturally straight and the extensions are wavey. This provides me with the opportunity to have it straight or curley. No one can even tell I have extensions and they also last me 5 months! My natural hair is assessed with every removal and re-applicaton. There has never been any damage to my own hair. In fact, I have found it to be much healthier due to the fact that it is not exposed to the envior, sun ect... The bonds protect most of your natural hair.
I could not be more pleased with the services and products provided by the Hair and Face Lounge! Try it you will not be disappointed!!

I've been going to the Hair & Face Lounge for nearly a year and I LOVE IT THERE! My best friend goes to Drew, my sister in law goes to Toni, my mother in law now goes to Kendall, and my daughter and I go to Karen. I think I can speak for all us ladies when I say that we have had nothing but success regardless of what services we get. I'm probably the most complicated with my extensions AND color services but the results are always amazing and well worth it. Its such an easy drive from Apex (I just go right up Lake Pine Drive, pretty much!), and I love the fact that the salon gets rearranged differently for almost each appointment I go to. Its never boring. If there were six star ratings, I'd give it that. This salon, the services and the stylists cannot be recommended highly enough.

I warn women looking for a 'certified' Great Lenghts extensions hair stylist, to please not to go to 'The Hair and Face Lounge' in Cary, NC. Karen Parsons the owner and 'certified' GL stylist charged me over 1,400 dollars for hair extensions. They only looked good for two days after she put them in. After my first wash, the straight hair I had payed for, turned into this horribly frizzy and curly hair, and it has never returned to what it looked like two days post-application. Since my natural hair is straight, it looks like I have two types of hair in my head. After she got (stole) my money, she did dot want to talk to me about a week later when I called and told the receptionist that I was starting to loose extension pieces already. I have always taken proper care of my extensions I don't go swimming anymore, I wash my hair three times a week, let it air dry, and I only use the products she had me buy and the brush provided by her. I went through a terrible ordeal in my life, and I had extensions put on to regain a bit of my sel-steem. It was a big mistake. My natural hair is already showing signs of damage, and one and a half months after the service was performed, I have already lost over 1/3 of the extensions, and visible gaps in my head can been seen. I am embarassed, and only wear my hair in a bun. She finally answered one of my numerous e-mails yesterday, and simply said: 'I will be glad to remove the extensions for free, but I will not refund your money'. Is she joking? I would be insane to let this woman ever touch my hair again. Please stay away. She will lie to you, take your money, and leave you looking like a bad, sad joke.

I went to the Hair and Face Lounge after spending a small fortune at a "top" salon and getting mediocre results. After hearing about the salon via citysearch, I called and had an appointment booked with Kendall for a highlight and cut. I opened the door to a very friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. After being offered a drink, I waited a very short period of time before Kendall made an appearance and had introduced herself. I told her what I thought I wanted (a change, but wasn't exactly sure which direction I was going with it....) and she cut and highlighted my hair. When she was finished, it was exactly what I had initially asked for, but I did not precisely state what I wanted before the cut/highlight, and wanted a few modifications (i.e. lowlights for dimension, a bit more off the cut, etc) After explaining this to Kendall, she very graciously lowlighted my hair and adjusted the cut which ended up exceeding my expectations. I received compliments from family and friends throughout the night. I will definitely come back again!!!

I have been going to Mitchell's at Crossroads for about three years now and finally my beloved hairstylist grew to be too expensive for this teacher's salary. On a whim I decided to look into the Hair and Face Lounge. I just needed a trim to my short cropped boy cut and I wanted to add some bright red highlights to my dark brown hair. I called up and told Nicole what I needed and she gave me Kendall.

Kendall wasn't just pleasant, she was down-right friendly. She listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I asked for. All that *AND* she offered me a beverage!

Within the next couple of days my red highlights faded to an orange-pink. I expected some fading but not this fast and not this much. When I called the salon exactly one week after my initial appt and explained my problem, they were able to get me in that day.

Again, friendly Kendall consulted with me and then she promptly redid my hair. Within an hour I had new highlights and a beverage! All for no extra charge.

Speaking of the price, at Mitchell's I was paying $70 including tip JUST for a cut/trim. At THAFL, the total came to around $80 with tip AND that was with a cut/trim AND highlights.

While there the staff/stylists talked to me about everything under the sun and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the no BS policy. I really appreciate people who can be upfront and honest about everything from the hair cut they're giving to politics to celebrities.

Thanks guys! I will return.

Cons: a good 45 minutes from where I live, but it's worth it!

I went to the Hair and Face Lounge to get a new do. Upon referral, I requested Drew. I still consider myself "young" and still enjoy a trendy and fun style. I've only been in the triangle area for about 6 months now, so I've been on the search for my next great stylist. Well Ladies, I have found him!!! Drew gave me a fabulous, stylish, and trendy new haircut.(that is still age appropriate) He really knew what I wanted, and what would look best on me. I had such a good time with him and the whole staff! This place is sooo much fun AND they know how to do some hair! Tell everyone you know to go to The Hair and Face Lounge. They will definitely be seeing me there again! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!

Pros: A salon with personality

Cons: almost too crowded

The place seems cozy, a nice atmosphere. I have been there twice for an eyebrow wax. The staff member who was styling my brows seemed more concerned with her idea and concept, rather than my own request. After my first visit, I went home and tweezed my brows until I had the high arch which I wanted. During my second visit, I specifically requested a high arch and wanted to open up my eyes. There was only a slight change to the staff member's original waxing technique. While I often consult stylists for their opinion, when I want a certain style, I expect to see those results. Do not go to this salon if you have a specific request or look in mind. This salon is a better choice if you would like to adhere to a consultation, which is good for those who seek a "new look" and don't know what looks best on them. But if I already know what looks best on me, I do not expect to repeatedly hear a second opinion. I'm just glad I went here for my brows and not anything more drastic. An average rating for customer service but below average for meeting specific requests.... I decided not to there again after my second unhappy visit.

After days and days of whining about my inability to do anything with my hair due to it's less than healthy condition, I decided to do something about it! Being from a small town in NC, I have never paid over $20 for a haircut. Since my arrival to "city life" in Raleigh three years ago, I have been somewhat less than satisfied with the outrageous price of a haircut! The appearance of my hair is extremely important to me so of course, I bit the bullet and paid those ridiculous prices. This time, however, I decided to pay an old friend a visit at her new place of work, The Hair and Face Lounge, in hopes of an inexpensive trim. As I pulled into the driveway, I knew I was in for an experience! Just walking into that cute, comforting atmosphere made me feel at home. As soon as I sat in that stylish, hot pink chair I knew I had made the right decision. My stylist, Kendall, was AMAZING! I told her I needed a trim and that I would like to do something new but of course was scared to do so. Before I knew it, Kendall had transformed my hair into a new, stylish haircut that totally transformed my look. Kendall is new to the salon, but I must say, you would never be able to tell it! She blends right into the trendy, fabulously unique atmosphere The Hair and Face Lounge portrays. I guess it pays to venture out and try new places and stylists. I have certainly found the perfect place for me!

Just moving here only a couple of months ago not knowing where to go and all of that. had been researching for sometime before going. I decided to make an appointment. Was able to get an appointment slot within two days from when I called. (How great is that?) IT WAS AWESOME. Christine cut my hair and was just FAB. She took time to discuss our opinions and what I wanted and what she thought would do the best and that kind of thing. My hair was down my back and was really really nervous about getting it short because that is a drastic difference but for some reason I felt good about it so INVERTED BOB here I come.... we DID IT and I am so so happy with it. TO BE HONEST HERE, I don't even think I would have let my hair dresser back home do this... and I trusted her with anything .....Chrisitine was wonderful and I am so happy with my first experience there. I will continue to go back to her for as long as I live here. She is a winner for sure. Everyone there is really nice and friendly. Ashley, the receptionist was very friendly and most helpful in the appt making process and also with checking out and that kind of thing.... everyone was really friendly and it was just a great experience.

If you have never been .... GO for goodness sake.... MAKE AN APPT!!!

Pros: Great Service, Friendly, Overall Awesome

Cons: Just a little pricy only because I come from a small town where you can get a hair cut and color for 40.00 that is all. BUT WILL SAY IT IS WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!

After years of ugly haircuts and styles thanks to the scissors of the Triangle, I've finally found the one place and stylist that not only meets, but exceeds my expectations!

I have naturally curly hair and have worn it different lengths over the years. I went in wanting just a good clean-up and came out looking amazing thanks to the hands of the wonderful Drew! Then I decided to go for highlights (a first) and shorter hair, and he did an AMAZING job! If I could have $1 for every compliment I've received, it'd be better than winning the lottery!

The super-cozy atmosphere gives off more vibe than any salon I've been to, and the friendliness and chattiness of both the stylists and customers gives that super southern feel I'd always dreamed of finding! The cuts are very reasonably priced, and I'll be having a date there every 4-6 weeks to keep up my new chic mane!

Very small salon - cramped - there are only 4 or 5 stylists. The salon is in a small house - the staff is nice, but it seemed like the stylists were more concerned with gossip than actually taking the time to give somone a good hair cut.

I had my hair totally screwed up and the stylist that cut my hair (Drew) had the nerve to say "It came out better than I thought" - WTF?? Drew is considered to be one of the "master" stylists too - ha! He was rough and didnt take very much time on my hair. I paid $60 (including the tip) and had to go back the next day to have someone else "fix" my chopped locks. Drew messed my hair up so badly the 2nd stylist told me it would be about 1 month for the really short pieces to "grow into" the style, meanwhile, I'm left with a super short hair cut. Sorry Hair and Face Lounge, I will never go back.

What a great experience!!!!! I had been going to the same salon 45 miles away because I was afraid of change. When my step-sis recommended Toni at the Hair and Face Lounge, I gave it a shot. Am I glad I did!!!!! My outdated bob got a stylish update. I can even fix it to look great myself...it's so easy and I've gotten so many compliments. One girl at work even told me that she loved it so much she was going to have a wig made like it so she can wear it whenever she wants...the ultimate compliment!!!! Thanks Toni!!!!

Today I went to the Hair and Face Lounge for the first time, just moved from the Northeast, and Wow! Very cool place. I had Christine, and I told her to "do something new" - which I NEVER do - because she immediately gave off the vibe of "I knove what I'm doing." You know what? SHE DID!!! She was better than the New York salon stylists who I used to pay $85 for a cut I didn't like. She gave me a cut that gave me volume, looks amazing and easy to style. I feel great and it looks really great too! My husband said WOW and he's a tough critic. Love the place - they are so welcoming. Very friendly. You just have to try it yourself. If you're looking for really experienced stylists, this is the place to go. Nobody recommended it - just read the reviews here and went with it. Happy I did. Going back and won't change. Thanks Christine! Oh, and everyone in the other chairs looked equally happy and you could tell they were repeats as they all knew each other by name, so that spoke volumes too! -Ann Walsh

I went from having straight long (past middle of my back) hair to having bangs and a just below the sholder layered cut. I'm so in style now! Christine was very helpful. She helped guide me to my decision of how to cut/style my hair. She taught me how to style it to make it have more volume and to frame my face better. They really know what they're talking about.

I found my permanent salon!

I have to recommend the Hair and Face Lounge to anyone who is looking for a stylist. Christine Russell is amazing with color and gave me the best cut I've had since I turned 50! Her ability to match color to my skin tones really took 10 years off my appearance. My hair actually flipped without having to curl or putz with it. The great part is she gave me a quick lesson and I've been able to do it myself. She's my stylist...now that I think about it, maybe I shouldn't have written this review. I hope I can still get on her book for an appointment. :-) She does it all, aesthetics, color, cut... I can see why Aveda corporate loved her as a trainer. I never thought this old dog would learn a new trick, but my hair looks great.

Great job, Christine, and thanks for my new look.

The place is cozy but be careful who you choose to cut your hair. Go for someone with experience. I walked away with a lopsided haircut and didn't realize it until I got home. I had to return to have it 'fixed' and was never apologized to even though I had to drive all the way across town again. I will not be returning.

So I have butt-length hair and it's been trauma getting it highlighted in the past. I had such horrible experiences both in California and my home state Wisconsin. But that's all ended! I have found my salon and stylist. First off, the atmosphere is really wonderful - it feels so intimate and it's great talking with all the folks getting their hair done. Maryam highlighted my hair and she did such an awesome job. She really listens to what you are looking for and delivers to the T! She did such a beautiful job with my hair that I just adore looking in the mirror and seeing the results. I will definitely be going back and using Maryam for all my hair needs as long as we live in NC!!!

I recently moved here from Michigan and had a bad experience at another Aveda Salon in Cary. I called Karen at the Hair and Face Lounge and she was able to work me in right away to "fix" the mess. I was absolutely thrilled with the cut/color and have since returned twice for upkeep. I will keep going back as long as I live in the area. They have a great facility, great atmoshpere and excellent stylists!

I have been on the search to find a great salon/stylist in the Raleigh area. I'm extreemly "picky" about my hair!,so needless to say my search was quite difficult. I've been to the so called "Best In Raleigh"(and most expensive at that) without any luck. Then a friend told me about a stylist at The Hair and Face Lounge. When I met with Drew and knew I had no worries. He took the time to listen to me and what I wanted. Then we chose a color and style that fit my needs and lifestyle. My hair has never looked better in my life. This guy knows what he's doing. Everyone in the salon is so friendly and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. I will continue to give my business to the Lounge and refer everyone I know!

Karen did my extensions yesterday and she did a fabulous job! I have gone to other salons and tried different brands of extensions, great lengths is far beyond what I expected. I was esp. happy with the customizing that Karen did to cut each and every bond to fit the texture of my hair (I Have fine hair) she really goes above and beyond what she as a stylist has to... Love the hair quality, love the price and the people are great! Thanks for GREAT HAIR!!!

I saw Toni recently for a hair cut and eyebrow waxing. I couldn't be more pleased about how cute my hair is now, and have gotten compliments from *everyone* who's seen me. She fit the style to my face perfectly, and shaped my brows so much better than any place I've been before. Toni is fun, outgoing and extremely talented. Prices are very reasonable too. I'm definitely going back! - Cheryl

I found the Hair and Face Lounge here on Citysearch and chose it because I have a love for Aveda products and the prices weren't exorbitant. It was pretty easy to set up an appointment and has been easy to get in when I need to every time since. Maryam did my cut and color, and I couldn't have been more pleased. She was extremely friendly and quite talented. The best thing about her is that she really listens to what you want. She'll offer advice and counsel, but she's not one of those pushy stylists who think they know better than you do what your hair should be like and proceed to cut it to their preferences not yours. She listens to what you want and does exactly that. I have since recommended several friends to her, and even took my boyfriend in, who had his hair done by Toni and was just as pleased with her. As long as Im living in the Triangle no one else will ever touch my hair again.

I actually found this salon right here on Citysearch and I am happy to say all the great reviews are right. When I called they got me right in for an appointment, I am from the north and it is always hard to get into my favorite salon, I was glad to see this was not the case. Maryam was the woman who cut my hair and she did such a great job. She was extremely friendly and a fountain of knowledge of what a newcomer to the area could do for fun. She made me feel at ease right away. The salon itself is a kitschy place that will amuse and delight anyone that enters the doors. I love the Hair and Face Lounge and I am looking forward to returning for my next haircut!

My wife and I found this spot soon after moving here and we've been delighted with the Hair and Face Lounge. The atmosphere is relaxing in a sort of '50s-modern way (it comes by the name "lounge" honestly), the service is prompt and friendly, and the stylists make an effort to know you. My wife has been very pleased with her cuts and colorings, and I've been very happy with my haircuts.

I have been looking for a good salon to go to on a regular basis for years and I came across The Hair and Face Lounge last week and I finally found the salon for me! The environment in the salon is so warm and inviting, and all the stylists that work there (Maryam, Karen, and Toni) are so sweet to everyone that comes in. I had the best experience, and my stylist, Maryam did an AMAZING job with my haircut, hair color, and eyebrows. I was really impressed by her and would recommend her to anyone. So if you are looking for a salon with expert stylists, great prices, and a fun environment, go to The Hair and Face Lounge!

I just recently moved here from New York and I sent my husband here to be the "guinea pig". I figured b/c it was an aveda concept salon in cary and the price for a men's haircut was on the higher side it would be safe. Wow, was I wrong. When he came home, I could not believe what they had done to his hair. Not only did it look awful, the cut itself was bad too. He actually had pieces of hair that should have been cut, but were left long (I guess they missed those???) Anway, needless to say I will not be going here and neither should you.

So, I've just moved to Cary and had to find a new place to get my hair cut. I found The Lounge on City Search, and boy am I glad. Not only did I get a great hair cut, but I feel like I made 3 new friends as well (Maryam, Karen, and Cooter). This place is great. You should try it. Not to mention my stylist, Maryam, is really beautiful. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her. Highly recommended.

I went to The H&F Lounge and had an eyebrow wax. I am so picky with my eyebrows and Maryam did a great job. She also took time to show me all of their products and help me pick out makeup. I will definatly be going back to get a makeover and my hair done.
The atmosphere was so relaxing and it was a cute comfortable salon.
Prices are very resonable.

I moved to NC 4 yrs. ago, have tried every top-rated salon in the Triangle & came away feeling so-so and certainly feeling poorer for paying so much. I tried H&F Lounge yesterday for the 1st time... my search is over! I went from long hair to short, brought pictures of my ideal short hair-cut. Toni did better than the picture because she tailored my haircut to my face. Best yet, I can actually fix my hair with minimal time, effort & hair product. The women in this salon are very talented & can easily command top dollar; yet their fees are very reasonable. I am recommending this place to everyone I know.
