After advice from another company, we turned off our furnace to avoid worsening an oil leak. We called B&E after 5pm for an estimate and were scheduled the very next day. \r\n\r\nB&E's technician could see no leak whatsoever but did see a loose duct that needed to be taped up, which he did for no additional charge. If the issue happens again, we're welcome to call B&E back and without another service-call fee for the same issue. What could have been an $800 rip-off turned out to be a minor problem, and converted us into loyal customers of B&E. Their website states the company provides ""honesty . . . and high ethical standards"" and they've proven it to us.

Our combined furnace+a/c unit stopped blowing a/c in the late summer. A technician from another company said he saw an oil (?!) leak and the blower needed replacement. Until we could afford it, we were to not use the unit because the oil leak would cause more damage. When we stopped getting heat on the lower level, we turned the furnace off.

This time we called B & E after 5pm for an estimate. The service manager (Lisa) did everything she could to be sure we were seen the next day. The B&E tech (Todd) said he "could see nothing wrong" with the unit or with outflow amps measurement. He did spot a duct falling loose and taped it back up for no additional charge. I then explained what we had been told, to which he stated the system should have been running (with its built-in safety features) to reveal what was happening. He stated that it could indeed be a motor or it could be something else, even just the loose duct, and that if the issue happens again, to call so the problem could be diagnosed - and we wouldn't be charged another service-call fee for the same issue.

Bottom line, B & E's technicians uphold the values stated on BEair.com: service was prompt, courteous and ethical. I highly recommend this company because they are honest.

Today at 7am my house was cold. I called B&E Heating Co and a service man "Todd" answered on the 2nd ring. He said he only lived a few miles from me. At 10 am Todd had my furnace fixed. It cost me $360.00 He was so great, he fixed my gas fire logs for free. I will sure call his boss on Monday to give Todd a good reference and let the people in Mint Hill know that B&E heating "rocks"

Greg came to my house on Sunday and found my ac unit was low on freon, the inside coil was frozen.Greg turned offf my unit and said he would be back in 2 hrs (he had another call) He came back and put 3 lbs of freon in and sealed a vavle with pipe dope. Cost was a little high but he made me feel good about his company so it was worth $400.00 for the freon and service visit. I can go to work monday and not worry
