I stayed here on my 21st birthday as a present from my boyfriend and I absolutely fell in love with the hotel! The suite was amazing and I got excited to have 2 seperate bathrooms in the room! The view was great, we overlooked the pools and had a great view of the southern end of the strip. The hotel however is not for those who hate walking. You will burn some walking calories in this place!

I was expecting this amazing room, it was sorta beat up and old, the safe didn't work we had to wait for hotel security and an engineer to come fix it (just in case someone left cash in it). Just not impressed with a 5 star hotel. TI was much much better. There was blood on the top sheet but i didn't notice until the second day, it took them 1 hour to come and change my bedding. I had a bad hang over and didn't put up a fight, and just waited it out, they didn't comp me or anything. I did like the location the view was great all the lights and the view of the mountains were great at night. I like the remote control curtains that blacked out the day light...I would not stay there again sooo much going on.

Pros: on the strip

Cons: over priced

Had the opportunity to stay at the Venetian this past week on a comped account and it was a great experience. The hotel screams opulence as soon as you walk through the front door with ancient murals painted on the ceiling and along large marble hallway.

The casino caters to a higher end clientele on the strip and it's tough to find a table under $15-20 during the week, and under $20 on the weekends, forget about it. Slots are plenty and usually you can find something open with no issues. The drink service is not as good as some of the others I visited, but maybe it's just where you are playing.

The room we had was a nice sized suite with a full bathroom with separate tub and steam shower, two queen beds, sunken in living room with panoramic window overlooking the pools and the strip. The room had multiple flat panel televisions, large sectional couch, plenty of clothing storage, a dining table and nice sized desk. Overall the room was clean, but the couch seemed pretty dated, but maybe that was just the motif they were going for.

If you're in the mood to shop, there is plenty to do without walking outside. There is pretty much every high end boutique you can think of in this resort between the connected Palazzo shoppes and the Canal shops at the Venetian. If you are looking for a show, the Ventian is host to Blue Man Group and Phantom of the Opera.

Plenty to do here at the Venetian and great hotel, especially if it's comped!

Cons: Sometimes Too Busy, Check In Line

I will always stay at the Venetian when I go to Vegas because it has always been excellent from beginning to end. The rooms are cleaned to perfection, the restaurant food is wonderful, and the staff treat me with friendly, courteous respect while I am their guest. It seems like I spend all my time there because that is where the action is! This resort/casino is geared to making sure their guests have a memorable experience during their visit. Hats off to the Venetian... I look forward to my next "Queen for the stay"!

Like a lot of people say the rooms would not be this dirty in a real five star hotel. Thick dust under lamps and coffee table. Threadbare furniture on some chairs. The mini-bar is electronically set that you are charged if you move an item, which they warned us about at the front desk, however what they DIDN't tell us that the tray on top of the cabinet that holds the mini-bar is also electronically monitored and since the door to the cabinet was broken it moved the items in the tray and we were charged!! I won't be staying here again. It is a 3 star hotel with gilt.

I can't believe that in a place where they charge a FORTUNE for their suites, that there were hairs on our pillow and our bathtub was not washed!!! What kind of people to they have working there that do not know how to clean rooms? So ridiculous and will never stay there again. We were too tired to complain to the front desk and removed the hairy pillow and washed the tub ourselves. Disgusting! Stay clear of this place. It looks gorgeous on the outside, but the rooms are dirty from the inside. This place needs a new cleaning service from the sounds of the other reviews.

I had reservations at Caesars but when I arrived they had no record of my reservation so I phoned the Venetian and they said they had a room available. I arrived at the Venetian and checked in for six nights.
I gave them my Visa and signed the signature pad on the desk as requested to cover any extra charges to the room, telephone, mini bar etc. I had been quoted $200 per night over the phone and when I checked in.

When I checked out I was charged $472 per night. When I complained they said I signed for it. They brought out a piece of paper with my signature on it. The signature was an electronic signature that they took off the signature pad and put it on the form that indicated that there was an upgrade charge of $272 per night. I told them that I didn't sign that form. I asked to speak to a manager. They said that the manager wasn't available. I asked to speak to the general manager but he wasn't available either.

I was checking out and I had to get to the airport. I was there with a large group from Vision Expo West.

I have tried to dispute this charge with Visa but without success yet. I will be contacting Vision Expo West to lay a complaint. I will also file a complaint with Nevada Consumer Affairs.

We checked into our room to be greeted by hairs on our bedding. They then replaced them with STAINED sheets. It literally took 3 hours from the time of check in for them to finally change us to a clean suite. Our stay here was awful due to the poor service and obvious lack of hygiene. The Bellagio is by far a superior hotel. Make a smart investment and stay at the Bellagio instead. My stays at the Bellagio are nothing short of perfect but I wanted to try out the venetian based on all the positive reviews. Save your time, money, and sanity and book elsewhere. Besides, the suites at the Bellagio are far nicer!

I love staying at the Venetian....however, try to book in the Venezia tower as opposed to the Venetian tower which is older and the wear and tear is beginning to show. Service is great and there are lots of choices for dining and shopping. Now that Palazzo's next door, there are even more things to do! Highly recommended.

My company flies everyone out there for conventions. Boy was this hotel/resort nice or what? I was blown away by the room and the fact that the little things I need to bring but could not fit in my suite case the room accomodated. Items such as a bath robe, printer, fax and copier. I like the fact that it feels like a little city inside the hotel. That's how big it is. Don't be intimidated by the size of the hotel it practically holds everything in it you need like shops, resturants, casino, spa, work out facility, meeting facilitieeeeeess and more meeting facilitessss. I mean I stayed at nice hotels before but never nothing this nice. If you go to Las Vegas please enjoy live it up that's what it's here for so you can enjoy. Live like a king for a day or a queen that's what I say.

Cons: Confusing layout, may get lost

I love this hotel the rooms are great and the restaurants are awesome. I like to dine at Pinot it's not as crowded as Bouchon and I think just as good and not as busy.

I like to play poker and I usually get the poker rate which is a great deal. You need to ask about specifics because one time I had to pay $1000. a night because room rate didn't qualify because of rules.

Amazing hotel from the minute you walk in. Outside mall atmosphere with the gondolas is truely amazing because you are actually on the 2nd floor of a building. Expensive rooms, but are gigantic with a few large flat screen tvs, a living area and a large bathroom with a tub and shower stall.

My husband and I stayed at the Venetian for six days. We found our room very comfortable. The maid service was perfect. We stayed there during a major "fight match", however we checked in on a Tuesday and checked out on Monday and had few problems. However we noticed that Wednesday through Saturday, checking in for new people arriving had to stand in line for a long time. We ate at the buffet which was just so so, also ate at Emeril's steak restraurant called Delmonico's and found it expensive, and just so so.
We did eat at the Winn's Steak House the SW, and it was outstanding and worth the 5 star price.

Definitely see the Beatles "Love Circe de Solei" It was fabulous. "Spamalot was okay if you are big Monte Python Fans. It was a bit humorous the actors were fabulous but the writing could have been better. All in all our stay at the Venetian was wonderful. The Bakery in the canal shop area was great. Great coffee and wonderful pasteries .

The Venetian is a great Las Vegas hotel! It is on the Strip, so it is within walking distance of all the Vegas hotspots. The man-made canals, gondolas, "street" performers, and Italian-style buildings are kitchy but cute and definitely make for a memorable vacation. The Canal Street shops are awesome, with lots of high-end labels, unique products, and designers - you can find everything from Jimmy Choo shoes to Brookstone to Sephora here! There are also tons of "sidewalk" cafes, coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants, including Tao, a delicious sushi upscale restaurant and nightclub. The 4th floor pool is beautiful - there are comfortable padded chaises, a pool with halfway-submerged lounge chairs for sunbathing in the water, and servers sometimes come out with complimentary fresh orange wedges or ice water. A Wolfgang Puck restaurant is poolside, so you can eat chinese chicken salad, fresh turkey sandwiches, or hot and gooey personal pizzas while lounging. Heaven!

Even the cheapest rooms are suites larger than some apartments! The ambience is amazingly romantic with period furniture and all of the modern-day conveniences and amenities. The public areas are romantic, too, the Promenade around actual canals is lit at a constant twilight--just perfect for strolling arm-in-arm as you browse the upscale shops or for dining at one of the first-rate restaurants or riding in a gondola while being serenaded by your gondolier. Street performers right out of the Italian Renaissance complete the picture, from commedia del' arte clowns to musicians. The gaming tables, however, are not for the penny-pinchers and service was not quite up to the standard of a 5-star hotel.

The entrance and all common areas are gorgeous, if a little bit 'Vegas' over the top. The suite was great too with a nice view down the strip. I would have liked cheaper table games, but I'm not a big gambler so I'm not the market they are looking for.

The interior of the Venetian is a must see in Vegas. Taking a stroll alongside the gondolas is a great way to spend the last day in Vegas when you have no money left. Yes, it isn't fun walking past all the shops you couldn't afford even before you wasted all your money, but it is one of Vegas' best sites.

It saddens me to see that there are some who have not found their Venetian experience most memorable!! My sister and I have stayed there a few times and other than being a little pricy--but you get what you pay for!!--the only faults were that they were too willing to help, even with sold out status...and forgetting to pour the coffee for us once when we had room service. We recently tried Mandalay Bay and at that time cancelled our future plans there and have returned as faithful Venetian customers. You all know about the marble floors, sunken living/dining rooms...but be sure while staying at the Venetian to try the fine,m excellent dining experience at Zefferino's Restaurant! One must remember that anywhere one goes in Las Vegas there is walking, whether to the pool or another area. Room service is exemplary. I have never experience any problem with drinks in the pool area. Remember, that with large hotels that just the logistics of getting from one place to another does take a bit of time. I never once called any of the services within the Venetian and was referred to any title other than my name, not a room number!! Stick with the Venetian and plan ahead for your needs. Enjoy! ...a faithful customer

I was lucky enough to stay at the Venetian for free- it's a good thing my friends have the gambling problem and not me. Walking through the lobby of the hotel left me in awe- I couldn't wait to step into the suite. The suite that we stayed in was gorgeous from detailing of the room from floor to ceiling. The bathroom must have been created by a woman or a man who knew how to make a woman happy. The hotel in its entirety was created with fine detail and screams luxurious. Once you stay at the Venetian there's no going back to another hotel.

On my first trip to vegas I was sorely disapointed in the quality of some of the more recognized themed hotels. It all looks so bright and shiny from a distance, probably to blind you to their faults. There's only a handful of hotels out of dozens that I would ever consider staying at or even visiting. The Venetian is #1 on my list. Clean, best most enveloping theme, great or maybe even the best location. The suite was probably the best I've ever stayed in, very pretty.

The venetian is a good hotel to stay at if you have 3 or more people in the room. You can sleep up to six, but that's putting two on the pull out sofa. The bathroom is the best part of the room. It is nice having 2 tv's, but they aren't plasmas. Staying in the venezia tower is key because you have 24 access to the garden jacuzzi, but it's also a long walk from the elevators to the venezia tower.

I stayed here over Labor Day and really loved the experience. Teh rooms were huge, not to mention the HUGE marble bathrooms with separate shower and bath. Ntex tim I'm in vegas, I will definitely be looking into the Venetian again. One downfall was that the pool wasn't a big hot spot during the day.

I think this is my favorite hotel on the strip. The rooms are great, their large suites are even greater, and every detail in this place is just grander than anywhere else in Vegas. Walk in and you're treated to beautiful views of the painted ceilings and grandiouse hallway leading from the lobby into the casino. Their shopping/restaurant area is an experience as well as you walk along the nicely recreated Venice canals, and their occasional singing gondola operators who drift by (they are all quite good).

Great restaurants with great food, great shopping and gambling. Very spacious with lots of places to just sit and watch people or look at the details of the place. The location on the strip is fairly central as well.

The ambience here is the best in my opinion. The feeling you get in there is what Vegas is all about -- immersing you into an idealized version of the real thing.

The ambience here is the best in my opinion. The feeling you get in there is what Vegas is all about -- immersing you into an idealized version of the real thing.

I stayed in the Bella suite and was happy with the comfort and decor of the suite; However, I was the least bit impressed with the customer service. I was just a NUMBER at the Venetian and THAT was not worth the money I spent. I have had better eye contact and quicker service at a Holiday Inn! My bags were sent up 2 hours after I checked in, and the registration line was too long to have been advertised as your private check-in area. Yes, I did relax on my vacation. However, I wanted to be treated like a queen.

The hotel is beautiful. Their stuff was very nice. They found my lost purse. I had very good luck with their slot machine also. I won $150 on a one cent machine!

Right on the Las Vegas strip but what a high-class place! Brings a taste of Italy to Las Vegas. So much to do - gondola rides, shopping, wax museum, gambling....check out the painted ceilings too. Amazing architecture on this resort. The rooms are suites so it is a higher priced sleeping option, but SO nice and grand!

There are three levels of suites, and the "standard" suite is about 700 square feet and has a sunken living room. You'll feel like you are in Italy, at least for the evening. You pay for what you get, but you do get what you pay for. Be prepared to do lots of walking, and be prepared for lots of people in the common areas.

This is a truly nice property, and the rooms are spacious and nicely furnished and well maintained. Staff is attentive, and helpful, and on top of things. The restaurants were great. Be prepared to do some walking. You can get good discount rates occasionally.

we always love staying at this hotel. every room is a suite, so even if you can't shell out the big bucks you'll get a nice room. is you CAN splurge, the rooms get bigger and nicer. the bathrooms are just my favorite, big sunken hot tubs (so relaxing) and big shower stalls. service is always nice and with a smile. the shopping is decent here, not like the forum shops or at the bellagio though. lots of nice restaurants (try zefferino's) as well. always a pleasure to be here.

You can get lost in the Venetian. The indoor mall, Madame Toussaud's Wax Musem, the ceilings with paintings on them like the paintings found on Italy's ceilings, the gondola rides (both indoor and out), the restaurants, the casino... So much going on here, you just have to visit whether you are staying in this hotel or not...make it a stop on your rounds on the Las Vegas strip. Very classy place! High end everything!!

We attended a business meeting here and from the moment the doorman greeted us, we felt like royalty. The room was misbooked for a King (instead of doubles), and without us having to ask about it, the front desk offered a room change and even upgraded us to the tower directly off of the casino floor. The rooms are lush and the beds wonderful! Worth every penny!

I stayed in a suite at the Venetian for a bachelorette party, and had a fabulous time. The room was beautiful and everyone was so friendly, especially the concierge that helped us with event tickets and VIP passes to various clubs. The restaurants in the hotel are also some of the best in the city.

I especially liked the gondola rides in the Venetian hotel. The lines for this romantic attraction get quite long on weekends so if possible try to go mid week. The architecture is outstanding and the staff at this Casino are the most pleasant people. They have ample parking. Be sure to visit at night and get a view from across the street.

If you've always wanted to visit Italy but could never afford it, then this is the place for you. They have roaming entertainers, and gondola rides. Sephora is also there, which is great. The food is great too, with lots of selection.

I stayed here for about 3 days with friends and this place is amazing. It has great location on the strip and the view is great. The site itself is luxurious and the rooms make you feel very royal. Colors are deep and it has a great ambiance. It is very pricey but it is so worth it.

The Venetian is amazing. The interior is breathtaking and definitely worth checking out. Have a gondolier row you around & sing to you in the indoor gondolas. Enjoy some good shopping. But stay at a different hotel.

It's as nice as all of the other mammoth hotels on the strip, but it's also FILLED with people at all hours. Plus, the layout forces you to go through the casino to get upstairs to your room.

Once you get past the sea of people, the rooms are well-appointed and a very nice size. They're all suites, with a sitting area, nice beds and a large bathroom. Room service is $$$$$, as are the room rates.

There are numerous places to have dinner, and it's centrally located on the strip. Still, there are better places to stay while visiting Las Vegas.

Our room on the 33rd floor was amazing. Great view, clean & comfortable - housekeeping did a wonderful job. Ceasars used to be our default choice, but the Venetian has raised the bar. Everyone was helpful and amazingly friendly - from the housekeeping to the restaurant workers. The Grand Lux cafe is the BEST 24 food joint on the strip - very high quality and tasty food - no cafeteria slop here.

I hate Las Vegas. There is nothing remotely appealing to me about this city, but if you're going to stay here, you might as well stay in one of the cutest hotels on the strip. The rooms are ample and you can drown your sorrows away in the minibar. There are several large pools to cool off the desert sun and the casino, though not the most lucrative, will provide some entertainment for those who want to throw their money away. Overall a good hotel in a horrible city.

We had stayed at the Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino back when we were having tile installed in our house. We booked our stay through Priceline.com and were able to snag a room at the Venetian for about $100 for the night.

The Venetian is ideally located on the strip and within walking distance of the other major resorts such as Caesars, Paris, Bellagio, etc. The grand canal from the outside to the inside of The Venetian is sure to draw in the tourists (watching the gondola rides) to this casino and to the Grand Canal Shoppes which features many higher end stores for those with unlimited budgets! There are many fine restaurants at the Venetian as well such as the Delmonico's Steakhouse (Emeril's joint) that is highly recommended.

Our room was a suite (as all of the rooms in the Venetian area) and was very spacious with a king sized bed, marble floor bathroom, separate sitting area with a pullout couch, and two televisions.

We ordered room service for breakfast which was a little expensive but typical for a resort hotel but as their clientele is from around the world, there are many different and unique options on the room service menu.

One word of caution, however, DO NOT remove anything from the mini-bar as the electronic sensors will charge you for everything that you remove (even if you put it back where you found it). We had to call down to the front desk to ask them to take off the charges.

PROS: An all-suite hotel with good room service and great restaurants!

This hotel deserves 5 stars, but I am so reluctant to give it that because it has one of the lousiest restaurants (the main casual one by the elevator where everyone eats that starts with a "G"-the Grande, or something like that) ever for such a fine hotel. You think I would have learned my lesson when I ate there once, but being a glutton for punishment I tried it again-big mistake.

Anyway, I want to comment on the hotel itself. Beautiful rooms, although looking a little worn. Reminds me of my old aunt's apt. with the sunken living room. It has one of the largest rooms in Las Vegas for the standard room. Each room has a pretty armoire and a picture window. Small bathroom. The room has an average rate of about $200, but you can get it cheaper if you join their player's club or go online to their website.

From outside, the hotel's facade is breathtaking-like Venice. Once inside you see the lobby and a long hallway with beautiful frescos. The floor tiles are exquisite. What I like about this hotel, which is rare, is the casino does not hit you in the face in the lobby, as you have to walk down the lovely painted corridor to get to it. That's class.

The nicest part is the area of St. Mark's Square which imitates the real thing. Entertainers like mimes, dancers and singers entertain. You can even go on a gondola ride for about $10.00. There are many upscale stores and they are not cheap, but nice for browsing. More mainstream stores are also mixed in.

PROS: beautiful and authentic looking
CONS: bad restaurant, rooms showing a little age

ROOMS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND VERY LARGE. THE CLEANING STAFF DOES A REALLY GOOD JOB. Found their restuarants to be quit good but also quite pricey. It is definitely a place to visit but keep in mind they really cater to the rich.

We got a good deal on the room via Hotwire, but I still did not think it was worth the money. Everywhere we went was crowded and way too expensive. Every time we got in the elevator it was packed and awkward. The pool was too crowded to even enjoy- kids splashing and people talking loudly. The suite was really nice and clean, but overall we didnt think it was worth the money we paid to feel like we were just another of their 4,000 guests.

PROS: Nice room
CONS: Pricey, crowded
