.

As a business owner of five years, I realize reviews are invaluable to any business. Having stated that...let me be very clear that this is the FIRST negative review I have ever written!

I was solicited by a rep of Strategic Marketing offering me better ad placement and more effective marketing for my company than I was getting with one of their competitors. After several conversations, he gained my confidence and I agreed to give them a try. We worked on my ad for a couple of weeks....then I never heard from him again.

I was called a month later by another of their employees who "lied" and told me the first rep had suffered a death in the family and that she would now be taking over my account. (I later found out by the owner himself that my first rep had actually been fired). I was quite put off that I had to start the process all over again, but moved forward anyway with much reluctance. She took my credit card number to "hold" the ad-words we were working on and was then suppose to send me a "preview of my new ad" and an "authorization form" to charge my credit card. She did NEITHER.

She instead charged my credit card early, without me previewing my ad, without authorizing the charge....and charged over a hundred dollars more than she was suppose to and then POSTED MY AD LIVE on the internet. An ad which was NOTHING like we had discussed. Not the placement....not the landing page and not even the correct text of what I was advertising. Furthermore, since it was posted live before it was scheduled to, my web guy hadn't updated the webpage for the new campaign I was launching....so that was posted live with incorrect information as well.
Needless to say I was livid! Never heard from the female rep again...she could not be reached (perhaps ANOTHER death in someone??s family??) Unreal. I was, however, contacted by the owner, James, who vowed to make everything right. He did not.

After ten days of trying to resolve this matter with Strategic Marketing, I then contacted the manager of my bank for the second time who at that point PERSONALLY contacted the bank's fraud department and saw to it that the charges were finally reversed. They were immediately!

This was followed by an endless amount of harassment which included phone calls and emails from both the dishonest female rep AND the owner. There were so many calls, in fact, that I had to change my phone number and had to block their email addresses as well. The owner of the company even threatened to do a smear campaign on my business (a business that had nothing but FIVE STAR RATINGS on every single review posted over the past five years). He even went as far as to call me names and CC'd me on an email he had sent to his employees that HE controlled Google and was going to post things about me and my business to get even for the charge back he incurred.

The nastiness, dishonesty, unprofessionalism and most importantly, outrageous threats were so completely ridiculous I felt I had to post my experience. I already recovered the money lost, so this review is simply to warn others of this company and its disgusting business practices. I have supporting documentation for all of this which is why the chargeback still stands.
