I completely disagree with the previous employee review. First you can always see with the cameras day and night if you download the correct app. Secondly my dog ate my cats food one time and his stomach got upset right before I had to drop him off for boarding. I told the Camp Counselors when I arrived and they feed my little teacup dog broth and white rice that they had to cook for him until my dogs stomach settled down. My dog has never gotten kennel cough or anything else while in their care. He has always come home 100% healthy and very very happy. My dog does not like to sleep in a dog bed like I see a lot of the other teacup dogs do. He likes to sleep on these huge fluffy towels. I take them to Camp Bow Wow when he is boarded and they wash the towels daily for him and clean out his area where he sleeps. Eveytime I have taken my little dog there and randomly checked the cameras, at some point every day I see the Camp Couselors pet and talk to my dog and all the other dogs around him. From my experience Camp Bow Wow has literally cooked, cleaned, held my dog, talked to my dog and did my dogs laundry every single time I have taken him there. He has been boarded and went to day care from time to time there since he was a pup. My dog has literally saved my life and I am very hesitant to let just anyone take care of him, but Camp Bow Wow has proven to me that they treat my precious dog the same way I do. They are the only place I trust with my little best friend.

Camp Bow Wow seemed great. Before my boyfriend & I dropped off our golden retriever and miniature pinscher for a weeks trip to Mexico. We returned home to find out that our dogs were sent home with one of our emergency contacts five days

I do not recommend using Camp Bow Wow Pittsburgh Southwest. Boarded my dog at this location and he came back with marks all over him as though he was not even supervised and developed kennel cough.

Our dog Abby loves going to Camp every week so much that if we never picked her back up, she probably would not even know the difference. She is very comfortable there and has made lots of doggie friends. The staff does a wonderful job with both the dogs and the owners. They learn very quickly whose owner you are :) This place is a great way from my dog to get her energy out while we are at work, as well it keeps her well socialized with other dogs. We cannot say enough good things about this Camp Bow Wow.

My labradoodle absolutely loves this place. She cannot wait to get there in the morning. She starts jumping up and down when say to her "lets go to camp". It's a great place to be a dog!
Its a win for me also because she comes home tired and then she sleeps all night. The counselors are so nice. My dog would go there everyday if she was the one in charge!
Thanks Camp BowWow

My two labs love coming here. I've been using camp bow wow at this specific location for over a year. Whether it's for a day or a couple weeks, I know my dogs will be well cared for. All I have to say is "camp" and my pups run for the car. The best part...they're both exhausted for a couple days once they come home! Great staff and I love the camper cams!

I just wanted to let others know that I have been taking my dogs here since they opened about 4 or 5 years ago and I absolutley love them. Over the years I have used other kennels in the Pittsburgh area and have yet to find a place that took such good care of my dogs than this. I did notice the "Beware" post and wanted to also state that I think that this is an unfair post. I am a vet tech so this may not be common knowledge. If you take the time to research Kennel Cough you will find that it is an airborne illness just like a human cough or cold. The vaccine does not cover all strains of the virus and has not been updated in a long time so there are many srtains that are not covered by the current vacine . Sometimes dogs are contagious before they exhibit symptoms and others do not even get that sick but can pass the virus along. It would be almost impossible for any dog social environment to remain completely immune to Kennel Cough when there is in outbreak in the gereral population. I know this summer we treated dogs that probably got it at many different Kennels, Dog Parks, Pet Smart and even the Dog Walker group walks.

As far as Camp Bow Wow goes. Go in and take a tour you will see for yourself how great they are.

My dog had to be evaluated to go to Camp Bow wow.
3 hours later, he passed with flying colors...one week later, he developed kennel cough, even after having his shots.
We took him to the vets immediately & my vet said he got it from being around other sick dogs.

Apparently, Camp Bow wow accepts all dogs into their facility...healthy or sick....maybe they should think about disinfecting the place.
175.00 later, this was a very costly visit.

If your dog loves to play with other dogs, take them to Camp Bow Wow Greentree! We take our Siberian Husky, Sasha, there weekly to get exercise and social experience with other dogs. We have been taking her there since she was 4 months and she is now almost 2! The staff at the Greentree location are friendly and caring and treat Sasha like she is one of theirs. They are extremely knowledgable about dogs and they have vet techs on site for emergencies. When we go out of town, Sasha stays overnight and we know she is being taken care of, plus we can watch her on the web cams! There is no place we would rather take her; it is like her home away from home!

Our pup Hailey loves going to Camp Bow Wow when we are at work! She gets excited when we say the name and goes to her leash! They are great with her and we love that they can give her baths and clip her nails there too! We can also watch her from our computers at work while she is there. It's a great place for doggy day care!

Jordan,

I wanted to let you know your staff at Camp Bow Wow Parkway West is wonderful
and awesome. Since the time Czarina and I started to go there, they have been
kind, warm and knowledgeable to both me and Czarina. This past week, I had to
have my appendix taken out - it was an emergency. Czarina was due for day care
and I asked, if there was room, could she stay. Every staff member was SO kind
to me and welcomed Czarina as if she was their own dog. It helps to know I have
people to rely on when such an emergency happens. As we all believe, our dogs
are part of our family and I love having a place that I know will take care of
her as I would - especially in emergencies.

Your staff (there are so many and I do not want to leave anyone out so I will
not name names - but EVERYONE there) is clearly chosen for their knowledge of
dogs but also their compassion towards humans. You do not run a "business" but a
well organized and trained "social service" for all living creatures. Any dog
owner would be lucky to have themselves associated with Camp Bow Wow.

Many thanks to the staff at Camp Bow Wow Parkway West, (they all deserve a
raise)
